1  Bitcoin / Mining support / Antminer S3 Help Please!!! on: November 26, 2014, 02:34:07 AM
When I click miner status, it gave me this error: "/usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:448: Failed to execute cbi dispatcher target for entry '/admin/status/minerstatus'.
The called action terminated with an exception:
/usr/lib/lua/luci/controller/cgminer.lua:32: bad argument #1 to 'floor' (number expected, got string)
stack traceback:
   [C]: in function 'assert'
   /usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:448: in function 'dispatch'
   /usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:195: in function </usr/lib/lua/luci/dispatcher.lua:194>"

I bought this off someone from ebay, miner status tab worked fine out of the box. For some reason, I decided to update the firmware, now it's throwing that error. I tried restoring the firmware that I backed up before flashing that firmware, but it didn't solve it. I also tried pushing the reset button, but it just powers off, but the fan is still spinning, so I just turned it off and on.

3  Bitcoin / Mining support / Setting up Bitcoin solo mining on: January 30, 2014, 02:40:13 AM
Okay, before I start, I just want to get it out there. Stop telling me there's no point to solo mining and all that non-sense, I've heard it all. I just want a STRAIGHT answer, none of that bullcrap that people seems to think it's useful to say over and over.

I put a .conf file into the appdata bitcoin:

Then, I set up bfgminer with C:\bfgminer-3.10.0-win64\bfgminer.exe -o -u ***** -p ***** -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0881

Is that all I need to do, then the reward would just go to my wallet? Do I need to put my wallet address anywhere? Is there a way to find out that my solo mining is working?
4  Bitcoin / Mining / Difference between "finding" and "solving" a block? on: January 22, 2014, 06:14:47 AM
I've been trying to get my grip on this whole bitcoin thing, people said if you FIND a block you get 25BTC + fee, but people said you need to solve a block in order to get BTC. This is about solo mining, not pool mining. I want to solo mine bitcoin for fun, not for profit. If I do "find" a block, would I need to "solve" it to get the 25BTC?
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Wallet backup not working?!?!?! on: January 21, 2014, 12:43:37 PM
I didn't see a technical support in altcoin section, so I'm posting here.

Can a wallet.dat file be corrupted or something?!
I just re-installed USDe coin wallet and let it re-sync, I replaced the wallet.dat in appdata with my backup and now it's giving me error whenever I open the USDe-qt.
"A fatal error occured. usde can no longer continue safely and will quit.

EXCEPTION: NSt8ios_base7failureE
ReadCompactSize() : size too large
C:\Users\User\Desktop\USDe\usde-qt.exe in Runaway exception"
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / What's the safest way to store BTC? on: January 16, 2014, 11:48:48 PM
Please move this topic to the correct section if this is not the right place.

Alright, so I've been reading some threads saying they got their wallet hacked from blockchain and/or local wallet. Paper wallet isn't an option for me because I lose every single paper I own.... How safe is the 2-factor authentication? Can it be hacked somehow? Is it possible to store the wallet into a flash drive? Because I can just put it on my flash drive and keep it in my safe.
7  Other / Off-topic / What would you have done? on: January 15, 2014, 08:00:01 PM
This is the only active forum I know and I needed to vent my anger, hope you guys don't mind.

I was walking home with my slightly retarded older brother when this bald guy with dirty clothing and clothing in a laundry bag on a bike that goes through the trash. He suddenly started riding his bike slowly behind us and dragging his feet so we can hear that he's behind us. He started saying softly, "Go back to Hong Kong... Go back to Hong Kong..." My and brother are Chinese nationality but are born in America. I told my brother to go ahead of me and go home. That dude started dragging his feet again. I turned my head slightly, so that I can see him in my peripheral vision and he would snicker and laugh whenever I did it. After my first head turn, he started dragging his feet louder and I turned around again and he started snickering. I have brass knuckles in my pocket for self-defense, I wanted to hit that guy so bad. (Brass knuckles are illegal in New York, so I didn't want to get into trouble). What would you guys have done? Is it legal to hit someone for racial/ethnic slurs directed at you and mentally retarded brother? This happened in front of cameras and it would of shown that I initiated the attack.
8  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Nextgen mining hardware? on: January 12, 2014, 02:46:23 AM
Are there going to be like nextgen hardware that would be like 10x faster than the current mining hardware now or is this the best it's going to be? I can't decide whether to buy an ASIC block erupter cube or save for nextgen stuff if there is.
9  Other / Beginners & Help / Newb here, question about altcoins on: January 09, 2014, 02:55:29 AM
Why are there so many altcoins? Days after days I see new altcoins popping up. Is it worth investing in the new altcoins?
