1  Other / Beginners & Help / How to add tokens to myetherwallet on: August 27, 2018, 06:59:30 PM
Never found this information on the forum, so I think will be relevant to place the subject for beginners, and maybe to put in a hook up.

After receiving the first token, users of the myetherwallet have a question why they can be seen in the ethplorer.io or etherscan.io but can not be seen in the wallet. The fact is that every token in myetherwallet needs to be added manually, after receipt. How?

open the myetherwallet, and press "add custom token"

after that we find our address/wallet on the etherscan.io, select the required token, and click on the link of the token itself.

you will see information like this

transfer the selected data to the myetherwallet, and press "Save"

Done! Now you can see your token in your wallet.
2  Other / Beginners & Help / Acquaintance. What is mining and how it happens. on: July 27, 2018, 07:43:49 PM
The term mining itself is anglicism and comes from the word Mine (mining). Speaking of difficult words, this process represents activities the maintenance work of the network by closing and creating blocks in the Blockchain using computing power. The miner uses the power of iron to perform special calculations to find the digital signature (hash), which will close the block. A miner who "finds" a digital signature receives a reward in the form of 1 unit of cryptocurrency. Mining supports the network, ensures its protection from duplicate transactions.
In simple words, mining is the production of cryptocurrency using the capacity of special equipment. For Bitcoin and a number of other coins, this is the only way to increase the issue. Miners are rewarded because their activities ensure the functioning and integrity of the entire system. This is the main task of mining.

Mining can be classified according to the form and equipment used. Basic type:

Mining on computer processors (CPUs) is an inefficient way to mine cryptocurrencies. Yes, you can get coins like Monero, but even powerful personal computers will not bring tangible income.

Mining on graphics cards (GPU) are relevant to most amount of cryptocoins, including air, dash and others. Efficient with powerful Radeon or GeForce graphics cards.

Mining on Asilah (ASIC) – efficient way of mining cryptocurrency. ASIC-processors are made with a special architecture, sharpened for mining.

The farm – setting, combining a powerful graphics card (GPU). Connects to one or more computers.

Browser mining is the process of cryptocurrency mining through the execution of a special JavaScript script. Efficiency is minimal.

Hidden mining – mining cryptocurrency with a capacity utilization of foreign equipment, through the distribution of special programs (virus). Hidden miner "gum up" with normal files and cryptout from antivirus.

Mining on phones and laptops – even the most powerful models show minimal efficiency. For Android mining, a special program was released by the Minergate pool.

Mining on HDD-based on the Protocol Proof-of-Capacity. The more Shakhtar can provide disk space for mining, the higher the efficiency will be.
