1  Local / Трейдеры / ASIC и цена BTC on: October 17, 2012, 10:56:13 AM
Насколько я понимаю, есть два пути развития событий:

1. Butterfly Labs

2  Economy / Marketplace / Bitcoin-hungry merchant on: April 10, 2012, 12:13:01 AM
Guys, it's gonna be tough but you gotta believe me!

Satoshi Nakamoto is... well, it's me. I designed Bitcoin as a convenient medium of exchange to sell my ciggies!

I didn't know you would take it this seriously..
3  Economy / Economics / Combating friendly fraud on: April 05, 2012, 12:23:48 PM
We all hate friendly chargebacks (no carding involved), and if you think about it, it's the only reason why Bitcoins cannot be bought via plastic cards up to the present time, a service that would dramatically increase the proliferation of Bitcoin.

I was wondering, why can't you hunt all the friendly chargebacks down, one by one, providing evidence you have sent the Bitcoins (in the court of law, if necessary)?

Is the process of combating friendly chargebacks prohibitively expensive or is it just impossible to find a merchant bank that would be flexible enough?

Waiting for your opinions.
4  Economy / Trading Discussion / Bind is a scammer, stay away! on: April 04, 2012, 06:35:45 PM
Bind stole 18 BTC from me.

I "bought" a SL account from him on the 30th of March - he has never replied since then.

Stay away from the scammer!

P.S.: I am wondering how can I have a SCAMMER tag applied to his profile Huh Can anyone help with an advice?

8  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Configuration feedback on: July 03, 2011, 02:40:19 PM
Hey guys, could you please comment on the configuration below? I am worrying whether the PSU will be enough. What about the motherboard - will all 3 GPUs run at 100%?

ASUS M5A99X EVO
ASUS HD 6900 x 3
140 Sempron
2GB of RAM
250GB Hard Drive
PSU 1200W
9  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Possible alternative uses for the rigs on: June 29, 2011, 03:44:00 PM
If mining becomes unprofitable for most of the miners (which will eventually happen), I was wondering what else could one do with a bunch of 6990's/6950's, lousy processors and operative memories.

Another related question is whether it is possible to run both a mining and a hosting operation (for personal use) simultaneously on a rig without affecting it's mh/s performance? If yes, what needs to be changed in the hardware configuration of the rig?

I apologize in advance if this has already been asked on this forum - I couldn't find a concentrated topic with answers to this question.
10  Other / Off-topic / Seasteading Institute on: June 15, 2011, 12:03:40 PM
An entrepreneurial solution to the world's political problems. Sounds like a truly fascinating idea (quite idealistic though, but hey.. isn't bitcoin idealistic as well?). Your oppinions?

11  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Selling 196.00 EUR sent via Moneybookers for 14 BTCs on: June 14, 2011, 04:20:43 PM
Don't know if it works this way on the forum, but PM me if interested. If you got good reputation, I am willing to send the money first, without any Escrow.

P.S. Given the ask price stays < USD20 on MtGox.
