1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ccminer 1.2.0/sgminer 0.1.3 for MTP: Fastest MTP miner for nvidia cards on: June 21, 2019, 09:30:53 AM
Hello,

currently ccminer is the fastest miner for MTP and the cheapest Grin

* 2.5MH/s on 1070
* 3.9MH/s on 1080ti with OhGodAPill (3.55MH/s without)

* 5.5MH/s on 2080ti

latest release:
new sgminer version released:
(improved stability)
https://github.com/zcoinofficial/sgminer/releases/tag/0.1.3

new ccminer version released:

https://github.com/zcoinofficial/ccminer/releases/tag/1.2.0

*better handling of miner/pool connection and packet losses in case of bad connection
solve various crash problem due to pool sending empty data

sliglty improved speed on 20x cards
This release should solve most of the crash which was encountered on the previous version.

performance:

2080ti gets now 5.5MH/s

1080ti 3.55MH/s
3.9MH/s with OhGodAPill

1070 at 2.5MH/s
1660 at 2.06MH/s

implement a non mandatory donation system (default 0.25% 1 share over 400)
This donation can be turned off by using --no-donation flag
%age donated can be changed by using flag --donation N (in per cent)

you can find binaries for windows (ccminer.exe)
and for linux:
* ccminer-linux-cuda101 (binaries for linux compiled with cuda 10.1
* ccminer-linux-cuda100 (binaries for linux compiled with cuda 10.0
* ccminer-linux-cuda92 (binaries for linux compiled with cuda 9.2

example of bat file:  RUN-ZCOIN-MTP.cmd

new version of sgminer has been released:
(no fee... too painfull to implement in sgminer  Grin, I'll probably add one, if I beat teamred on vega )

https://github.com/zcoinofficial/sgminer/releases/tag/0.1.2

Improved hashrate on both mtp.cl and mtp_vega.cl

mtp.cl for RX5xx and RX4xx

1.69MH @1250MH/z on RX580
do not use this kernel for vega performance are ridiculous Grin

mtp_vega.cl
1.685MH @1250MHz on RX580
3.1MH/s @1350MHz on Vega 56
currently this is on my RX580  around 400kh/s faster than teamred and it run at a lower frequency (100MHz lower for some reason...)
and 70kh/s slower than teamred on vega (same frequency)
use sgminer.conf to pass kernels/pool etc...

cheers,

2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [ANN]pledge for the release of 100% faster cuda 7.5 nvidia miner for neoscrypt on: January 07, 2016, 01:49:19 AM

update: the miner is now released and can be found here:  https://github.com/djm34/ccminer-sp-neoscrypt/releases

Hello,

I am about to release a new version of ccminer supporting neoscrypt, it is around 25% faster than the sp/pallas version compiled with cuda 6.5
and around 100% faster when compiled with cuda 7.5

This is a co-joint effort between myself and Nicehash which will contribute to the pledge as well

This means that it will be publicly available once the donation reach an amount of 2.5btc.

Donation will have to be made exclusively to that btc address: 16UoC4DmTz2pvhFvcfTQrzkPTrXkWijzXw
(careful it is a new address, not the old one, one should already consider that 0.1btc has been donated)

The goad for this pledge is of 2.5btc (included NiceHash contribution).
The pledge start now (obviously) and should end the January the 24th (ie 2weeks and half).

If the pledge is successful both windows and linux version (the source) of ccminer will become available.

If those 2.5btc target is met, then the miners will be released through NiceHash

Current speed of the miner:

The hashrate given in the image is for ccminer compiled with cuda 6.5, I am also planning to retune the miner with cuda 7.5
At the moment the hashrate for the 750ti is mostly unchanged while the 980's lose around 40kh/s.

Thanks in advance for your participation.  Cheesy

here the link to the blockchain explorer where you can check the advancement of the pledge: https://blockchain.info/address/16UoC4DmTz2pvhFvcfTQrzkPTrXkWijzXw (+0.1btc)

ps: this thread is self moderated (assuming I have time and not in a troll mood  Grin), off-topic trolling won't be permitted

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / neoscrypt algo for ccminer and nvidia card: call for donation on: January 06, 2015, 06:13:26 PM
Hi,

I have been working over the past week on version of ccminer supporting neoscrypt algo for and I have decided to release it as a crowdfunded project.

This means that it will be publicly available once the donation reach a certain amount. Right now this amount has been fixed at 5btc,
however I might release it before.
Now, if there isn't enough people who donates, the miner will be only given to those who have pledged.

Donation will have to be made to that btc address: 18UZRrybgjmR4M53Aca4Q8YBguqErZ5qaP

Current speed of the miner:
750ti: 127kh/s  150kh/s (using sgminer and public kernel would give you 30~40/khs, so it is 3.5x faster)
780ti: 212kh/s  300kh/s
980:   427kh/s  630kh/s

This is still a work in progress, so the hashrate will most likely increases in a near future (and it is already a lot faster than last week)

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / CleverHash asic mining x11 to x15. Is this even possible ? on: November 02, 2014, 01:14:26 PM
Hello,

I think we have all seen the thread about the future cleverhash asic to mine x11, x13 and x15 (all with the same asic) doing 300MH/s (or 150MH/s single core (?)) delivery one year from now
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826541.0.

My question is simple: Is this even possible ? and how would work such asic.

I mean from my understanding of asic, an asic is designed for one task only (and between x11 and x15 there is 4 different algos).
How would that be possible ?
What could be the speed on individual algo such as groestl simd etc ? (at some point make me wonder why they don't release an asic doing every algo in the chain  Grin they would own every coin  Grin)

It would be good to have some answer from expert in asic/fpga field (cleverhash people are also welcome, may-be they will answer...)

Thanks

 (each time I ask this question on their thread it gets deleted... because they feel insulted Grin or they answer with "we are in contact we best engineer in the field".... and never answer anything at all)
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [ANN] sgminer with X11/X13/Nist5/Quark/Anime kernels compatible 14.6 amd drivers on: June 19, 2014, 08:34:20 PM
Hi,

I have released a version of sgminer which allows to mine X11 and X13 coins using 14.6 amd drivers.

As it has been noticed some times ago, with 14.6 drivers almost double the hashrate of groestl algorithm and substantially increases the hashrate of any algo using groestl such as X11, X13, Nist5 (talkcoin).

However with 14.6 drivers some algos (in particular X11 and X13) stopped working completely.
This release fix the problem. This release is based on lasybear sgminer release.

You can find the source at:  https://github.com/djm34/sph-sgminer_x11mod
windows binaries at: https://mega.co.nz/#!sQkQ0JaY!CBz8JkqO8c0IB5ibdUDyeMNrp4hF4MqoU5a6FdJccXw

This version supports these kernels (and some others... but need to be checked though)

* X11mod  (-k x11mod)
* X13mod   (-k x13mod)
* Nist5      (-k nist5)   (talkcoin)
* Quark coins (-k quarkcoin)
* Animecoin (-k animecoin )

I didn't modify the original marucoin and darkcoin kernel are they are slower and some improvement on the quark/anime kernel should be expected soon)

In terms of speed, it was tested so far only on my R9 290x:
With X11mod, I get 5.4MHash/s
With X13mod, I get 3.75MHash/s  (which is not terrible compared to nvidia cards)
With Nist5, I get 15.8MHash/s (more details can be found on talkcoin thread)

7  Other / Beginners & Help / How to set up solo Yacoin mining on Linux on: January 15, 2014, 09:57:47 AM
Hello,

I want to do solo mining of Yacoin on Linux, however I doesn't seem to work.
I have install the yacoin package, updated the chain block.
Created a yacoin.conf file (actually the one I use windows).

But then when I try to start my miner, I just get connection refused (or error 500).
Is there something I could have overlooked ?

Thanks for your help
