[How It Works.]

I wouldn't say I'm a gambling addict, but I do gamble (not regularly) a lot and I'm a huge fan of a lot of sports mostly football and basketball, and hockey too (a bit I think). That being said, I'm proposing a 7-day turnover of ~10x or more on gambling, you can join in and also share your opinions about my picks.

How It Works.
1. I'll be starting with fixed bankroll, $10 for me.
2. I'll pick 1 - 2 matches (mostly on football and/or basketball) daily with an overall accumulated odds of ~1.4
3. I'll use winnings from the previous day to bet on the current picks continuously(If I win everyday) for 7 days, That'd be 1.4 ^ 7 = 10.54 x $10 = $105 if it turns out successful.
4. After 7 days, if it is successful, I'd start another round with a new (maybe increased) bankroll.

The much anticipated upgrade to Ethereum network is set to be delayed yet again to a yet to be known date due to critical vulnerabilities discovered on the to be implemented upgrade, according to Coindesk.

Smart contract audit firm ChainSecurity flagged Tuesday that Ethereum Improvement Proposal (EIP) 1283, if implemented, could provide attackers a loophole in the code to steal user funds. Speaking on a call, ethereum developers, as well as developers of clients and other projects running the network, agreed to delay the hard fork – at least temporarily – while they assessed the issue.

Participants included ethereum creator Vitalik Buterin, developers Hudson Jameson, Nick Johnson and Evan Van Ness, and Parity release manager Afri Schoedon, among others. A new fork date will be decided during another ethereum dev call on Friday.

Discussing the vulnerability online, the project’s core developers reached the conclusion that it would take too long to fix the bug prior to the hard fork, which was expected to execute at around 04:00 UTC on Jan. 17.

Called a reentrancy attack, the vulnerability essentially allows an attacker to “reenter” the same function multiple times without updating the user about the state of affairs. Under this scenario, an attacker could essentially be “withdrawing funds forever,” said Joanes Espanol, CTO of blockchain analytics firm Amberdata in a previous interview with CoinDesk.

He explained:

“Imagine that my contract has a function which makes a call to another contract… If I’m a hacker and I’m able to trigger function a while the previous function was still executing, I might be able to withdraw funds.”

PS: Before analyzing this post with severe criticism please consider that; it was never supposed to be a topic but rather meant as a response to this Thread's Title and I had already posted it as a reply on the thread before I completely understood what the OP meant. So, I decided to delete it since it was somewhat off-topic from the message of the topic, but I think perhaps, it could be worth reading for a newbie in this section.


According to the topic; " What impacted your learning experience the most?"
I'd say Bitcointalk.org (Impacted my learning experience the most) and not just for the fun of it, I have learnt a lot about crypto excluding core technicalities here on the forum and even more than that.

  The first Impression I had when I heard about this forum was that everyone is here to make some money but, along the line I have got to understand that the forum is way more than just a platform to earn.
It made me understand the best way to earn even better if you so wish is knowledge, I read and learn from the posts of the most respected members on here and that made me had more hunger for knowledge in vast fields and areas, because each of these members are more than just what meets the eye from Loyce's data analysis and statistics at a mind blowing level, Jet Cash's versatility with several websites and I read posts of him talk about phyton like an expert, Vod's programming (BPIP), Piggy (forum notification), Iasenko, OgNasty and others I can't mention that I have read a couple their posts an had the urge to learn at all cost, They all talk about several issues and not just crypto related at a very advance level and I feel intimidated to make even a comment that'd I think could get considered reasonable by such level.

And I'd gladly admit that it led to me having a "New Year Goals".

Even though being more financially stable has been a necessary goal for the new year to me, I have also set goals to acquire knowledge at a wider range.

MY GOALS FOR 2019

• Become an Expert in PHP and MySQL
• Learn Python and Java Script
• Have better understanding of the Blockchain technology
• Learn to use CorelDraw , Adobe Photoshop , Adobe Illustrator, Adobe XD at an advanced level
• I also want to become a more responsible person in every society I find myself

[Curiosity]

Greediness or Curiosity would make you lose everything you've ever worked so hard for in
 the crypto space in less than a blink of an eye.

All these hackers need is your Curiosity and/or Greed.
I'll try as much as possible to explain why I choose the word "Greed" and "Curiosity" with some Images.

1. Greed
You get tons of emails(Mostly), telegram posts or any post of sort offering a lot of tokens while you give nothing in return, You never took a second to verify or think about what could be at stake, you instantly give out as much information about you as possible simply because it is limited to a specific number of participants.
Things you should ask yourself:
Did I sign up for this ?
How did they get my email ?
Are they so generous to offer a lot to people who have been of no relevance whatsoever to their course ?
Then why should I expect an email with such an offering from something I never signed up for?
I'm pretty sure your answers to the above questions aren't far fetched.


2. Curiosity
More often than not, People get to know that some of these post are scam or most likely to be but, out of Ignorance or curiosity and without taking proper precautions they tend to give it a trial with the aim of not giving out private informations such private keys, passwords or even emails, without prior understanding that it takes less than a nano-second to get compromised which cannot be undone, and mere clicking of a link or installation of a software(malware) and applications could have them divulge just the right amount of informations needed to get them compromised


Here's an example I get numerous emails about these offerings regularly and you might find some tempting or at least worth trying out.








Then you get required to sign a message from a phishing website, In which all information giving there is used but the hackers to steal your hard earned assets it the blink of an eye.



Precautions that should taken:
Do not try to reap from where you did not sow...
1. Pay no attention whatsoever to unsolicited message with such offerings/giveaways.
2. If you are bounty/airdrop participant, Not everything is owrth your your time. You should be selective with campaigns partake in, doing so will make you notice if you ever get a message from something you've never took part in or registered for.
3. Never try to outsmart an hacker, a trial will not convince you, a trial will compromise you. An hacker could set several booby traps for you fully knowing you should be blinded/or pay less attention to one of it. If you're ever going to give it a trial then you should make you have not private informations that could be lost on the device or computer you'll try it with, but I'd prefer not taking unnecessary risks without proper knowledge.

Hope this is what you guys needed!

I'm not trying to criticize the OP or his/her work as it would be of great benefit to the forum at large but, I doubt the app or website can be trusted just yet as there hasn't been any form of verification of it being malware free, or just a mining app that could compromise users phone and considering the OP is a new account makes it more likely to be either, maybe both.

Hopefully we could have well knowledgeable members here verify the app and website.

I have been pondering a lot on this question about the so called whale or whales who tends to posses a very large amount of a particular coin, thus, can therefore decide and manipulate its price. Here is my question, as of today 13th Of October, 2018 according to Coinmarketcap the circulating supply of Bitcoin is 17,319,950 BTC which is valued at $109,223,445,757. In order to have a 10% effect on the price of bitcoin then one needs to own 10% or more of the total in circulation right ? That is valued $10,922,344,575 ($10.9223446 billion USD). Is there really someone or a group of people that owns 10-20% of the supply that can manipulate the price, as people do say, or is there some other way around the manipulations ?
