5  Economy / Service Discussion / btc-e: Huge F*ck-up "Insufficient funds on MT4 account" Bug on: December 14, 2013, 09:34:26 AM
There is a huge bug, that disables accessing my funds on btc-e, when I want to withdraw from my MT4 account. I get a "Insufficient funds on MT4 account", which is a False proposition.

When it comes to not being able to access or withdraw one's own funds from a brokerage firm, one should not have to take no for an answer. I am hugely dissatisfied with this unacceptable situation.

Btc-e support has been informed of this f*ck up of their systems via ticket No. NAZ-557-28075 with no response.

Please fix this bug NOW- I needed it to work yesterday!

8  Local / Biete / Biete: 2x Butterflylabs Bitforce Single FPGA, ings. 1,6 bis 1,8 GH/s on: May 02, 2013, 07:53:45 PM

Trade-In

Der Mod hat keine Beeinträchtigung auf Lebenslange Garantie oder Trade-In!

Ihr könnt Euch bis zum 1. Juni 2013 bei BFL melden und ein Trade-In beantragen. Dann bekommt Ihr pro ASIC Miner Neukauf $699,- US Dollar gutgeschrieben (je FPGA, also insg. $1398,-).

Will die Auktion ca. 5 Tage laufen lassen.

Videos

Bei diesem Video hört Ihr ein FPGA vor meinem Mod, und dann am Ende des Video die Laustärke nach meinem Mod:

10  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / A Linux Java GUI to control fans and clocks of your AMD GPU on: August 02, 2011, 01:47:49 AM
I wrote a Linux GUI to control fan speeds, temperatures, mem and gpu clocks of up to 4 adapters.

The tool relies on aticonfig, so make sure you have that one up and running.

If you find the tool useful, I would appreciate a small donation to 18QeVng1ArbTBoyFTXGwk78caQgDESUC4v

12  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / RBE which Clock Info will get read by the ATI PowerPlay state reg. Mining? on: July 04, 2011, 03:14:35 AM
Quote
ATI uses a method called 'PowerPlay' to throttle clocks, voltage and thus power consumption of its cards. Several power play states are being used at several conditions (i.e. 'boot mode' and so on). Mostly, there are four such states. Each state has access to several clock settings (mostly 3 of them, called 'low', 'medium' and 'high'). However, BIOSes have by now at most ten clock info modes, saved in an internal table. So, each state and each clock setting of them has a pointer to one of the ten clock info modes. For example, most BIOSes have a state for 'boot mode' (in general, state 0). This boot state has, say, three clock settings. In most BIOSes, all these three settings point to the same clock info mode (in general, clock info 0). And so on. State 1 may have three clock settings, pointing to clock info mode 2, 4 and 7. So, several clock info modes may be used for different clock settings and thus, are dependent of course. RBE can view this dependency structure. Keep it in mind when you tinker with the clock info mode settings.

So which Clock info do I have to alter for Mining?

- I want to crank up the voltages for the GPU
- I want to undervolt the RAMs

If I click on the Powerplay states (on 5870) it shows me what Clocks it will use, e.g.

0 boot - clock info 0
1 power saving for notebooks in battery mode, high perf and optimal perf: clock info 01/02/03
2 UVD Watching Vids - clock info 03
3 power saving for notebooks in battery mode, high perf and optimal perf: clock info 00/04/05
4 ACPI Disabled load balaning - clock info 06

0 boot and 03 powersaving seems interesting
0x45 voltage registers the thing to mod

Useful (from this Forum) reg. 5770:
Quote
Don't watch your (long) videos online- for some reason my hasrate drops by ~50% when a (e.g. youtube) video is open in Firefox (doesn't matter if it's playing or not). This is probably due to Flash taking up one of the GPUs for itself (running an ATI 5770 Sapphire).
This is caused by the card's hardware decoder which is designed to run at 400MHz. Your BIOS will have a seperate PowerPlay state for this, which is different from the 3 states controlled by ATI Overdrive. Apparently flashing a BIOS with edited UVD state to force a higher clock rate just causes it to crash, so the best solution is to simply not use it.
For YouTube, right click the video, go to Settings and uncheck Enable Hardware Acceleration.

14  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Which case for 4 Graphics cards? on: June 21, 2011, 10:57:10 AM
Hi what case does take 4 Graphics cards?

Do I need 8 PCI openings in the back of the case or are 7 enough?

I like:

- Corsair Obsidian Series
- Silverstone FT01, FT02, TJ07
- Lian Li

I'm pretty sure 4 cards won't fit into the FT02 series.

16  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Undervolt Minercard? on: June 17, 2011, 09:43:33 PM
Anyone here undervolts their GPU's for prolonged longevity?

I would be interested in their experiences. I plan to overclock by not more than 10% with massive, massive cooling installed on my cards. The memory down to 300 MHz and the Voltage I am not sure about.

Controversies

Allegations of employee mistreatment

Allegations of employee mistreatment have been made on a number of occasions. News reports highlight the long working hours, discrimination of mainland Chinese workers by their Taiwanese co-workers,  and lack of working relationships at the company.

In 2006 the Daily Mail accused it of abusive employment practices. Although Foxconn was found to be compliant in the majority of areas when Apple audited the maker of its iPods and iPhones,  the audit did substantiate a few of the allegations.
[edit] Suicides
Main article: Foxconn suicides

Sun Danyong, a 25-year-old male, committed suicide in July 2009 after reporting the loss of an iPhone 4 prototype in his possession.

In reaction to a spate of worker suicides where fourteen died in 2010, a report by 20 Chinese universities described Foxconn factories as labour camps and detailed widespread worker abuse and illegal overtime. In response to the suicides, Foxconn installed suicide-prevention netting at some facilities, and it promised to offer substantially higher wages at its Shenzhen production bases.
[edit] Imprisoned Indian workers

In October 2010 over 300 employees of an Indian operation in the Special Economic Zone of Chennai were arrested and jailed by Indian authorities for taking part in a strike.

All but a dozen of the arrested were soon granted bail.[28]
[edit] LCD price fixing

In December 2010 Chimei Innolux, a maker of LCD screens in which Foxconn has 24% ownership,[29] was fined by the EU for price fixing.[30]
[edit] 2011 explosion
Main article: 2011 Chengdu Foxconn explosion incident

On 20 May 2011 an explosion and fire broke out at one of the factory in Chengdu. The incident affected the IPad 2 assembly line and caused deaths and injuries to numerous workers.
[edit] Sacred burial ground

About 200 to 300 years ago, an area where the current Shenzhen factory resides was the home of an estimated 4,000 Hakka families.[31] The land at the time was undeveloped. Peiziyuan (皮仔园) and Ghosthead lake (鬼头潭) is situated in the area.[31] Peiziyuan in particular was a burial ground of more than 1,000 babies.[31] This area continued to be a burial site well into the 1970s after the one-child policy was promoted.[31] Massive numbers of girls were killed in favor of boys, and baby corpses were collected at the site.

brought to you by http://wikiterms.net - I mine myself, but I keep an eye on where the hardware I buy is coming from. We the consumer, have the power to change the world IMHO.#

18  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Will a Motherboard withstand 5 Graphics Cards? on: June 14, 2011, 01:24:29 AM
If I would use PCIe 1x Riser Cards with a Motherboard (e.g. 1155 ASUS Z68 or ASRock Extreme 3) and use all PCIe that MoBo is giving me - will the MoBo fuse or burn my house down? The setup will be properly cooled of course. Which MoBo manufacturor is the most solid for these kind of task?
19  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Which Z68 or P68 board for tri or quad GPU setup? on: June 11, 2011, 01:16:35 AM
Which board would some of you pro-miners recommend if I have an idle Sandybridge CPU lying around and want to get 3-4 6870 or 6950 cards?

This ASUS board should support quad setup, but I have no idea how 4 cards should fit into the board. I see no difference to the Asus Z68 Pro.

20  Bitcoin / Mining / Recommendation for unlockable 6950? on: June 11, 2011, 01:12:20 AM
I am not so sure if there are differences between GPU card vendors, e.g. is a Powercolor worse than an XFX?

http://geizhals.at/deutschland/a619993.html

It goes unsaid that I want to unlock the shaders and get the most out of it for OpenCL.  Grin
