2  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / CG Miner + Sapphire R9 270X OC 4GB Newbie on: January 20, 2014, 10:39:37 PM
I just got my new video card today, the Sapphire R9 270X OC 4GB and I went to my pool's getting started page to download CG Miner, but there's 12 different versions listed there and being that I've been mining with cudaminer on two Asus GTX 650Ti Boost cards, I have no clue which version I should be looking at. My OS is Win 7 64-bit.

Any help pointing me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated,

Thank you in advance. Smiley
3  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / AMD Kavari as a miner along side GPU's on: January 17, 2014, 11:43:49 AM
I was wondering if anybody has any thoughts on using one of the new AMD A10 Kavari chips to both run the system with the CPU portion of the chip and mine using the GPU portion of the chip along side your physical GPU cards? Cost would be some consideration, because extra money going into the purchase of the APU v. cheap chip could be put into a physical graphics card. I know Newegg has these chips on hand: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113359 with a cost of $189.99 and 95 watts for R7 series graphics performance. Compare that to the $49.99 cost of an AMD A4-4000 @ 65 watts to just run your system? That's a $140.00 cost difference and if you compare that to the cost of some of the R9 270's that could be had for $199.99 (Newegg). It's just a thought and something I was kicking around.
4  Other / Beginners & Help / Do all mining GPU in the same rig have to match? on: January 16, 2014, 03:39:53 AM
My question is; since the GPU used for mining within a rig are not being run in Crossfire or SLI, and are basically being run independently, do all the GPU have to be identical cards or can a person match an say an older Radeon 7000 series card in the same rig with a newer Radeon R9 series card, or an R9 270X with an R9 290X card?
