1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Crowdsource wisdom on becoming a Bitcoin contributor on: July 05, 2018, 06:33:06 PM
Morning everyone, happy hangover to those in the States and "Alice in Wonderland Day" to those who aren't.

Subject. Many of us wish we could do more than HODL, but the paths and options aren't always clear. I thought we could use this thread as a guidepost for those seeking a more active role in the crypto revolution.

Research suggests learning to code and work with the Bitcoin protocol on an intimate level is axiomatic. Ok, so how? Throw some cash at Jimmy Song and take his course? Read "Mastering Bitcoin"? Hit up Udemy? YouTube? Assuming the role of a layman, who do I trust? Who should I avoid?

Say I don't want to code, where is the heaviest need? I talk to the journalists at Coinbase and they say there aren't enough bodies to cover the stories. Great! If you're one of these journalists, how did you get started? Without an editor, what criteria do you use to decide which topic of potential thousands to cover?

Surely there are some of you involved in unorthodox ways that I haven't yet imagined. Share your stories.

Here's a listing of hundreds of jobs in the crypto space thanks to @BitcoinKhaleesi https://jobs.dcg.co/jobs

Overcrowded conventions belie how small we still are as a community relative to where we're headed. Hope we can get some quality content out of this.
