2  Other / Obsolete (selling) / [Selling] Will draw for bitcoins! on: May 13, 2011, 04:41:09 AM

I did this drawing for eMansipator's topic (http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=7867.0), and it was fun. So, I wanted to see if anyone else was interested in me doing any drawings for bitcoins. I'll do them in ink like that drawing. If you're interested, let me know what you want me to draw and how many btc you can offer. Something like at least 1 btc would be cool, but I'll consider any offer! Please don't be shy! I can also do color with markers for a little more.

Also, if you like what I draw for you, I will even send you the original artwork in the mail for a very small fee + shipping/packing.

My address is: 1GaLzoNQbuJB4hDgY4YBgvjxzPqHkCebgj

You tell me to draw anything you want at all. You can either post here or pm me, and I'll post any drawings I do in here unless you don't want me to.

Let me know what you want me to draw!

3  Other / Obsolete (selling) / [SELLING] Original art sketch cards by Joey Dangerous (new low price!) on: May 09, 2011, 06:55:47 AM
edit:I was trying to change the prices every time the bitcoin price changed, but it's too hard to keep up, so I'm denominating the prices in dollars converted to btc now. So whatever the rate is when you send the btc is fine. I wish I could keep them in btc, but it's too much to keep up with. Also, I removed the ones that have been sold. Here is the current rate: (Credit to Haxxy for the ticker)

Hi again! This time, I have a bunch of original sketch cards I did recently that I need to get listed on ebay, but I thought I'd see if anyone on here would be interested in them first. I'm not that fond of ebay anyway, and I'm very fond of bitcoin!  Grin

They are all 2.5" by 3.5" (standard trading card size). They are all the original artwork, they are not prints! Each one is one of a kind. They are drawn with a lot of different tools and techniques, the main tools used were brush/ink, and markers. I sign them on the back before I send them out. Also the watermarks are not on the originals of course!

If there are any you're interested in, please let me know which row number and position it is in and I'll hold it for you. The rates are based generally on how long the card took me to draw. For packing and shipping, please add $2 in btc for any number of them to the lower 48. It's a little more for international, probably something like $4 in btc would cover it. I ship them in sleeves inside of heavy top loader cases and backed by hard cardboard so they won't get damaged. I've shipped hundreds of cards this way all over the world and haven't had any problems yet!

Let me know if you have any questions.

Ok, here are the cards:

5  Other / Obsolete (selling) / Artists selling poster prints and stickers on: May 04, 2011, 08:13:58 AM
edit:I had to change the prices to usd instead of pricing them in btc, unfortunately I can't keep up with the rate changes right now, so it's easier this way for now. Here is the current rate: (Credit to Haxxy for the ticker)

Hey guys! I've been meaning to make a post on the marketplace for a really long time now, and I'm finally getting it together. I'm a commercial artist/illustrator, and I'd like to offer some of my work here for bitcoin, if anyone is interested. My wife is also an illustrator as well, and some of the poster prints are hers as well.

The poster prints were made at a professional printer, and they are on 11" x 17" semi-gloss card stock. I'm attaching a photo of one of them (sorry for the glare). I'm also attaching a thumbnail picture of each of the posters we have available. You can see larger versions of them at our deviant art page's galleries:
http://joeydangerous.deviantart.com/gallery and http://downthe-rabbithole.deviantart.com/gallery

Please let me know if you want me to upload any larger previews of them here.

I'm also attaching a photo of a few of my stickers to show what they look like, as well as a preview of all the different stickers I've done.

The rate is $12 in btc for poster prints. I'll still give discounts if you want to order multiple prints, too. For shipping, I'd ask for $10 in btc to cover any number of prints/stickers shipped to the lower 48 states. For international I'll have to calculate. They'll be put in protective plastic sleeves, and shipped flat between cardboard and in a padded envelope.

For the stickers, they are $0.80 in btc/each. Add $0.50 in btc for shipping for any number of stickers, I can just ship them in a letter envelope.

I'll guarantee safe arrival of everything! PM me if you're interested in ordering anything.

You can also check our web sites: http://www.annsiri.com and http://www.joeydangerous.net (Sorry, I really need to update with new stuff on there!)

We are also open for commercial/private work as well at the moment. We can do illustration, character design, comic pages, logo designs, graphics, character commissions, sketch cards, etc.

Thanks a lot for looking at our work! We appreciate any comments, questions, or suggestions you have. I'm really looking forward to doing more trading using bitcoin!
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / bitcoinsback.com on: December 08, 2010, 10:40:32 AM
Forgive me if someone already posted about this, but I just found out about this. It looks like you follow their portal into amazon.com, give them your bitcoin address, and they send you a small percentage of the purchase price back to you in btc. Looks pretty cool, I'm going to try it next time I buy something on amazon. If anyone else tries it, let us know how it works out.
7  Economy / Marketplace / I'm now accepting bitcoin! on: November 18, 2010, 07:20:17 AM
I'm a commercial artist, and I'm going to start accepting bitcoin as payment. I just updated my site and put a bitcoin link on it. I was wondering if anyone knows if I can have my site listed on the trade section on bitcoin.org? That would be really cool for me. My site is www.joeydangerous.net, but soon it's going to be changed to www.joeydangerous.com instead, and the .net won't work, so maybe I should wait to ask? Anyway, if anyone has any ideas let me know. Thanks!
8  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / New to bitcoins, but still kind of confused on: November 17, 2010, 06:06:29 AM
I just learned about bitcoins about 90 minutes ago and all I've done is read everything I can about it. I read the FAQ on the main site and I think I understand the basics of how it works. My brain is really not mathematically wired and I'm not that great with computer stuff, though. It seems like a lot of the people involved so far are really good when it comes to that stuff. So I was hoping to ask for some help here to get myself started.

What I want to do now is trade some USD cash or paypal a few USD into bitcoins if possible, and maybe sell some stuff on this bidding pond site.

My main concern with it is that I'm worried about getting hacked and all my coins stolen. I really have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to anything technical like that, and I was wondering if I should be using any other programs besides virus scan software and spybot to keep myself safe when trading bitcoins.

Also, I want to make sure I'm backing up my data properly so I don't lose them. I used the faq and I think I've located it in a directory that ends with application data\bitcoin. There's a file called wallet.dat thats 104 kb. So each time I do a new transaction, I will need to back up this file only in at least one place? I am thinking of doing it to an sd card as well as a flash drive each time i do anything to be extra safe. So i should just overwrite the file in both locations each time?

Sorry for all the questions, but if anybody can help me out with any of them, I'll appreciate it! If it goes well, I'm thinking of accepting them as payment for my business.

Thanks!
