1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Help with 16 word seed phrase? (10% reward if you can help me) on: February 11, 2021, 09:11:07 PM
I was dumb years ago and wrote a seed phrase down, but with no info about what the wallet is.

It's a 16 word seed where the 13th word is custom. My hunch is a weird HD wallet on blockchain.info, but I don't see where I can recover with 16 words. I've reached out to their support. It could also be metamask or myethereum wallet, but looks like those don't work. MEW didn't work. I'm positive it is not a hardware wallet.

I don't think there is much crypto on this wallet (somewhere between $0 and $1k at 2017 prices), but I will give the person who helps me solve this mystery 10%.
2  Bitcoin / Mining support / Reputable S15 PSU Repair or Advice on: January 28, 2021, 06:59:08 PM
We have 300 of the APW8_16.32V-20.04V PSU's that are dead, and Bitmain isn't selling them anymore.

30% of our S15 PSU's have died (or reboot after a few seconds) which seems extremely high compared to our other miners.

Does anyone have experience fixing the most common issues with S15 PSU's? We don't have the experience on site to do more advanced repairs.

Or has anyone worked with a reputable repair shop I should reach out to.

Thanks for any help  Smiley
3  Bitcoin / Project Development / Efficiency improvements for mid-size mines on: November 18, 2019, 11:57:29 PM
We have made it through summer running 1200 S15's. Had to go low power and shut off the mine when temps got over 92F. We now have some downtime and are looking for cost effective efficiency improvements + doing some risk management.

Here are a few projects we have completed:
- Improved security
- Failover internet
- Failover power/UPS

We are now working on automating exhaust fans based on facility temperatures.

We're fairly new to data center management, and I'm curious about projects others have done to improve efficiency, cooling, automation, etc.

I would love to trade ideas and potentially hire someone to audit our mine for cooling and efficiency improvements.
4  Bitcoin / Mining support / Heavy Duty Mining PDU's? on: September 30, 2019, 08:44:55 PM
Anyone have connections to a company making good mining PDU's that ships to the US?

Something that takes 3 phase, 415V and can power 25+ S17's?

We've been unhappy with our current supplier, but it seems like most major data center PDU suppliers don't make anything that high density. Thanks in advance for any help!
5  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / What are medium and large mining operations backup plans? on: August 02, 2018, 01:36:59 PM
For those who have put major investment into land, facilities, and power contracts, what is the backup plan to save your investment if cryptocurrency becomes unprofitable?

I know any mining hardware investment is out the door. I'm more curious about what non-mining operations people plan to move into. Server farm?

Context: I'm exploring building out a smaller 100kw operation, but want to have a backup plan for my investment if I'm stuck with 100kw of cheap power, facilities, and land.

(First post so apologies if this isn't the right area mods. I searched for similar threads and didn't see anything.)
