I have a question:
Let's say I have a bitcoin address B
It's corresponding private key is kB

Let's say I sign a message that contains B, such as "Hello, B is the address I just signed with its own key" with kB.

Does this action pose any risk beyond "it really looks weird" ?

I have just noticed that the latest version is distributed exe-only. This is mildly uncomfortable for me, since I run my windows client in a Portable Apps wrapper (works almost like a charm, and way easier to keep backed up this way. Besides, I just like the tidiness the Portable Apps bring)

Are .zip releases gone for good?

I see people using TOR and I2P are banned from using PM functions.

However, I would rather like to use it for legitimate purposes. Protection offered by banning TOR against people who use to PM viruses and spam is meager at best.

Can you allow users to utilize TOR on a user-by-user basis and whitelist those who do not misbehave (specifically, whitelist me for TOR usage )?

The thing is, me and a group of friends intend to start one, based upon Open Transactions, and  are quite willing to cooperate with anyone who already works on marrying OT and bitcoins

I've made a similar topic while being in the newbie containment and asked a mod to throw it in general, but apparently general discussion did not pay much interest to the subject, so I humbly submit the question to the attention of the D & TD subforum.

The reason I ask about whether anyone else is working on bitcoin-backed Chaumian currencies is that me and a group of friends intend to start one, based upon Open Transactions, and  are quite willing to cooperate, thus standing on the shoulders of giants if said giants are already present in the field of "blinded" coins
