1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Source of large transactions? on: February 08, 2014, 02:40:03 PM
I have a visualization running showing every single transaction as a coin where the size of the coin corresponds the transaction amount.

1 pixel of the coin = 1 mBTC

The visualization is at http://freeZ1.com
Please use a fast browser i.e. Google Chome

As you can see from time to time coins appear which cover almost the whole screen.

Does anyone know whats behind the transactions of 50 BTC ore more?

Who transfers such a high amount of BTC?
2  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANN] Live transactions visualization on: February 07, 2014, 08:02:25 AM
Hi everbody,

I have created a visualization showing the live amount of transaction.
Its part of the upcoming auction site http://freeZ1.com

Explanation:
The radius of the coins is calculated of the transaction volume spent in two seconds with the formular
radius [pixels] = 5 + 10 * log10(value [mBTC]);

The page is best viewed with Google Chrome

3  Bitcoin / Project Development / [ANN] Free auction site like ebay based on bitcoins on: February 02, 2014, 08:14:58 PM
Hi there,

I'm starting a new project called FreeZone which should beat ebay + paypal.

The site will be free to use and based on bitcoins. I'm calling me The Mechanic and I'm a senior software engineer and also self employed. My company is registered in Austria and the site will be no scam. It will be allowed to sell legal stuff only to create a reputable marketplace for trading goods with bitcoins.

Although I'm very fast when it comes to software development, for that project I need the backup of the community whereas I mean you!

Beating ebay + paypal is not easy but we can achieve it together!

Therefore I have setup a model for participating in the project. Its like a stock company. The company value of the "freeZone" is given by 1BTC which is 100.000.000 Satoshis. 35% will be given away to the team for participating

The tasks are announced at the site http://www.freeZ1.com

35% will be given away to investors.

The remaing 30% will be kept by myself.

Revenues will be paid back according to the shares.

Now its time to create tension and to get the project off the ground! You are welcome to join!

I have added one task already. It won't be that easy to get 1% share with the next tasks...
4  Bitcoin / Project Development / Auction platform for goods based on bitcoins on: January 24, 2014, 10:54:25 AM
Hi guys,

I'm building a new auction site based on bitcoins.

I will start the private beta in 35days and currently I'm inviting for the private beta and giving away 6 month free accounts meaning that there will be no fees...

I need the feedback of the crowd that such an app is of interest - please go to http://www.meecoin.com and request an invitation. The goal is to have at least 100 requests to continue the development.

Personally I think that bitcoins are great and we need more apps and places to spend and earn them, please confirm that to me. Its the community which backs the bitcoins up, so please let me feel that my work is really needed and that you are out there!

P.S. I'm looking for investors!
