1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Checking in... on: July 26, 2021, 10:30:40 PM
Just checking in...
It's been a while since I've been back on here...

What should i ask about here these days?
- Some political game-changer ?
- Some new Blockchain technical game-changer?
- Some financial game-changer ?
- Some new pump news from big corps ?

What is really happening in the Open source - Decentralised cash world that the Satoshi WP had a vision of?

3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How can the minimum Proof of Work difficulty be changed on a live block chain? on: February 23, 2016, 05:52:00 PM
Wondered if any one can help with this.
Is there a way to change the minimum Proof of Work allowed on a live block chain?

The minimum value is controlled here with this declaration

Code:
CBigNum bnProofOfWorkLimit(~uint256(0) >> 20);

I want to change it to something like this and make it take effect on a future condition.

Code:
CBigNum bnProofOfWorkLimit(~uint256(0) >> 22);

I can change the actual value within a function and initialise it to set the different value based on a future condition such as nTime or block height. But how could i make this take effect, since the minimum proof-of-work difficulty is already stored in the genesis block and the current difficulty adjusts on every block thereafter.
Is there a way to never allow the minimum proof-of-work difficulty to drop below the new limit?
4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / How can i find usable coin balance from main.cpp then use as a Bool ? on: May 14, 2015, 03:47:45 PM
Hi

Can someone explain if there is a simple method to finding the Available balance within main.cpp and then use it as a condition?
I'm using a much older version of bitcoin core 0.8.6 & trying to get my head around how to use this as a bool condition for some graphical tweaks.

7  Economy / Scam Accusations / User named MEGAman targeting developers on: July 15, 2014, 04:02:40 PM
For the past few weeks a user named MEGAman (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=153922) has been trying to blackmail me into paying him to stop spreading crap in some of my threads. Even though many people have already come forward to say he has been doing the same to them, he still tries to make people believe he is doing something right?

Here is the picture of the last PM he sent me.. Please can anyone else who has been targeted by him continue in this thread.

Yes you Heard it here first...
MaiaCoin is the worlds best PoW+PoS hybrid coin that uses the latest X15 Algorithm. Some of you might not know about X15 yet.... It's the latest innovation in the world of Crypto Currencies, Pioneered by the BitBlock team. X15 adds 2 extra layers of hashing to the popular and already very secure X13 hashing Algorithm.

In a similar way that i have done in the past I want to help start the next wave of X15 mass adoption by creating MaiaCoin...

10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Need more poeple willing to try X13 on: May 23, 2014, 11:21:19 PM
X13 BoostCoin was recently released. So far we've had a good core community mining the coins but there seems to be lack of people willing to try out or offer new services for X13, such as stratum-mining or faucets etc...

While everyone is going wild for X11, what people don't seem to understand is that x13 is very similar, but includes 2 extra rounds of hashing ontop of X11, so basically it is easy to set up and experiment with using the tools that were pioneered for Marucoin

Basically i would like to see more people try out X13 Smiley
11  Economy / Marketplace / >>>> Can you set up an x13 algo Pool ? <<<<<< on: May 21, 2014, 07:42:31 PM
Over at Boostcoin we are looking for more pools to come online and help even out the network load on the coin.

Bounties will be paid for this Smiley
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / >>>>>> Need some help over at x13 BoostCoin! <<<<<<< on: May 19, 2014, 10:59:15 AM
HI All

Calling out for anyone who can spare some hashing power over at BoostCoin. We have a new wallet released to fix a difficulty fluctuation issue experienced at launch, now all we need is a bit more power directed to one of the pools to help solve a few blocks so the difficulty can level out correctly.

Whoever can solve the current block which has a diff of 281 will be rewarded with a BoostCoin bonus of 5000 BOST

History:
Recently BoostCoin was launched which is the first ever PoW / PoS hybrid that uses X13 as the hashing algo.
Unfortunately 1x line of code in the first release was wrong and caused the Difficulty to change wildly. A new wallet that find this issues was released yesterday but we are currently stuck with a PoW difficulty value of 281

14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / ★BoostCoin★ First ever x13 PoW/PoS | final development | SGminer devs needed! on: May 08, 2014, 07:17:17 AM

I'm developing what i think is the first ever x13 PoW/PoS Coin and need someone who has experience with compiling SGminer. I already have the coin working with the minerd version that was compiled thanks to the Marucoin devs, but want to complete everything before the coin is launched. Ideally i need someone who is willing to transfer the knowledge on how to compile SGminer.

Now i know this coin won't be as popular as all the rest of the Scrypt coins, but i'm hoping it will attract a community of people willing to help get x13 more mainstream.

PM me if you're interested Smiley
