Ok I heard this is the way it is. Now just to understand this way of thinking, what is the reason behind this? why are Scammers not banned? Because they'll just create a new account immediately? Make it much harder to register here. Introduce much harsher filters. Make them have to pass a Quiz or something like that.
I'd also like to vouch for a 2 week registration lock If you register you have to wait 2 weeks to make your first post Another idea would be to additionally force everyone who would like to register to send in a BTC microtransaction, eg 3$-5$
The trust system seems to be fundamentally broken and doesn't help stop the scammers at all. Need a reputation system on top of this. Like 2000 Bitcointalk members -1 a user (scammer)'s reputation => account automatically locked, must contact admins to unfreeze
Crush the scammers hard - don't give them their breeding ground to be happy (as now).
Right now they laugh. Make them shiver.

https://etherscan.io/address/0x29d7d1dd5b6f9c864d9db560d72a247c178ae86bWarning! DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO THE ABOVE ADDRESS. Enigma team hacked completely, seems like all accounts and servers compromised Hackers sent false address via official Mail and Slack almost $500k stolen. Terribly, and most ironically: http://www.businessinsider.com/ethereum-price-ico-hack-2017-7?r=US&IR=TThe CoinDash hack didn't occur because the blockchain system itself was compromised, but rather because the website on which the smart contract address was being advertised was compromised.
"Hackers got into the backend of the site and changed the address," Kisagun said.
Thus, investors sent their money to the wrong Ethereum address.
"Whether it’s on a website, or through social media, providing a funding address in a single location isn’t sufficiently secure," Guy Zyskind, CEO of Enigma wrote in a recent blog post. "Therefore, we need a more secure kind of proof of address."
Enigma's solution is to hard wire the address of the token sale contract into the Ethereum or bitcoin blockchains when it's created. Since information on the Ethereum or bitcoin blockchains can't be tampered with, hackers wouldn't be able to alter the address.
Of course, the people behind ICO could be scammers themselves. Therefore, to assure they're not just faceless crypto-scammers, Enigma is proposing to store two other pieces of information into a multi-sig contract to serve as further proof of address:
A picture of the team initiating the ICO holding a piece of paper with the smart contract address on it. Social proof that trusted parties approved the address. This can be done by having the parties disclose their public keys on their Twitter feed. According to Kisagun, Enigma is looking at ways to employ similar strategies for its upcoming token sale. Oh man.....

do you own a BitSend Masternode or have you thought about it?
You need 25000 BSD to create one. The profit it generates is very nice imo

New idea: charge a fee of 1 BTC for every new ANN in the altcoin announcements.
This would drastically reduce the amount of low-quality projects / scams posted.

Ok please help me. I'm tech-savvy. I did everything as described by Electrum.
However BCC only displays some old 'unverified' transactions in the Electron Cash wallet.
I've switched to a BCH server within the wallet already. Still showing the same, as well as 0 mBCC
Thanks

There are many interesting strategies that work. There are also many strategies that are not very good. For instance, I always mine X1* coins when they come out to own about 0.3-0.5% of the supply. This is usually achieved within a few days of renting about 10 GH/s. I just leave them in my wallet and check Coinmarketcap every 3-7 days. Within approximately one year, I sell at the peak which usually is about X50-100 of the market price when I started mining. This strategy has so far paid off immensely. With just 1 success in 10 coins you have a stake in, you can become a fiat millionaire. But always remember, owning a lot of money is not the most important. Have fun

I vouch for the rebirth of a Jackpotcoin under the supervision of Spoetnik.
Who likes this idea?
Winning random jackpots within a block is something truly exciting.
Spoetnik puts the cherry on top.
I like this I would mine this and buy this.

Rules of thread: reply only with your personal advices
Do you buy, hold, or sell cryptocurrency?
Advice 1: Buy the dips of the good and developed coins [indicators: wide-scale infrastructure], examples: BTC, ETH
Advice 2: Never sell the good coins, never give them away to cash-grab ICOs [they want to grab your valuable coins for less valuable tokens]
Advice 3: Trade only if you know what you're doing. Sell only if you know what you're doing.

ETH is a perfect buy at the current low prices. Metropolis coming soon. Ethereum will gradually grow and scale. A switch to PoS will occur. By 2020, Ethereum technology will begin to become deeply embedded in the web. Decentralised organisations will emerge. The abusive and not seldom fraudulent ICO funding phase will end. New communities, rather than more pointless coins, are now emerging. Time to create!
Another new era is beginning.
