1  Economy / Trading Discussion / Please register for my free Webinar "The Way of the Trader". on: May 11, 2015, 03:57:55 AM
The Way of the Trader is a Trading Dojo for learning how to trade professionally.

The focus will be on learning and applying technical analysis to crypto-currency charts in order to develop the skill and discipline of a successful trader.

Classes will be held once a day for one hour, from 7:00pm to 8:00pm PDT (UTC-7). You are STRONGLY encouraged to participate in all 5 classes to maximize your learning opportunities, but strict attendance is not required.

The Dojo has one rule: We do not trade in the Dojo; It is a sacred place of learning how to master the art of profitable trading, not a place to discuss your winnings and losses or what trades you will be making. All trades will be done on paper using historical data, not in the live market using real money.

If you want to see how a former Wall St. day-trader make large amounts of money in the Bitcoin market and other markets like it, I invite you to come and learn.

Please check the schedule and register here:

About your host, sensei Kevlar: I was taught technical analysis by the options traders on Wall St. who trade millions of dollars of other people's money for a regular profit. I've been professionally writing signals and doing market analysis for over 10 years now, and have recently switched to the crypto-currency markets after realizing how incredibly predictable these markets are. I invite you to come and see the same patterns that I see, and learn how to do your own analysis of the market without relying on what other people are telling you the price will do to understand what will happen next, and perhaps most importantly, why it will happen.

I've finished my latest project, a Bitcoin anonymizing service, and I just need a little help to get it up and running.

If 10 people donated 1BTC each, this would be up and running by next week.

8  Other / Beginners & Help / Are Brain Wallets really a good idea? on: April 15, 2013, 08:48:15 PM
It seems to me Brain Wallets are a terrible idea because they are susceptible to brute force attacks.

Here's what I would do if I wanted to hack brain wallets: I'd grab a dictionary or password file, SHA-256 these, multiply by the secp256k1 ECPoint G, SHA-256 and RIPEMD-160 that, and compare it to all the outputs in the block chain. I'd build this as a map-reduce function, and I'd farm it out. The list of all outputs wouldn't amount to more than a couple hundred megabytes, and for added interest, the map function could generate random permutations of combinations of the words, and the reduce could compute the hash and compare it to the list of outputs. Anything which resulted in a hit would be would be of potential interest.

Of course this is all hypothetical... Anyone interested in the results of having actually done this? And the code I used to do it? I'll let ya have it for the price of getting out of the Newbie section...

-Kevlar
