1  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / transaction and memory pool. on: May 02, 2014, 07:26:25 AM
Hello all!
i have been reading on a memory pool here
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Protocol_rules
and under References:
Note that when the transaction is accepted into the memory pool, an additional check is made to ensure that the coinbase value does not exceed the transaction fees plus the expected BTC value (25BTC as of this writing).

should it be when the transaction is accepted into the BLOCK?

Thank you.

4  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Need Help on clarifying Coinbase transaction: on: April 02, 2014, 06:59:48 PM
Hello all.
i did some reading here:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Protocol_specification.
came across:
"A special kind of transaction, called a coinbase transaction, has no inputs. It is created by miners, and there is one coinbase transaction per block. Because each block comes with a reward of newly created Bitcoins (e.g. 50 BTC for the first 210,000 blocks), the first transaction of a block is, with few exceptions, the transaction that grants those coins..."

any info about: "few exceptions" will be much appreciated.

Cheers,
Gol.
5  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / looking for more info on hashing power(in Bitcoin network) on: March 28, 2014, 05:49:18 AM
Hello all!

As always i have been reading on the subject, did a search here and google(even bing...)
any info we be appreciated. Smiley

1. what is the correlation between MHz to Hashing?
for example: 1100 MHz GPU = _ _ _ _ Hashing power.

2. Proof of Work difficulty is affected only by the total network hashing power?

Thanks

7  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / some questions about 51% attack and hash power on: March 08, 2014, 05:28:35 PM
Hello all!

i have some questions about 51% attack and hash power, any professional info will be highly appreciated.

1. if some entity will built a machine with grater hash power then the Bitcoin network to date
(i know it's almost make no sense, but theoretically :
http://www.forbes.com/sites/reuvencohen/2013/11/28/global-bitcoin-computing-power-now-256-times-faster-than-top-500-supercomputers-combined/)
how log until the rest of the (legit) network will figure that something is wrong?

2. what could the "legit network" can do about it?

3. is there a formula to calculate hash power / $?

thank you!
