El Salvador Adopts Law to Support "Volcano Bond". In the Legislative Assembly, the digital asset bill received 62 yes votes and 16 no votes and this law will create a regulatory framework for Bitcoin and all cryptocurrencies in El Salvador.
After this news broke, I think we should expect more bullish trend in the market for now.

6  Other / Beginners & Help / [Merit Game] Let's Educate ourselves on: December 23, 2022, 11:40:58 AM
I am not a merit source but in this season of love I decided to join the league of users that introduce a game to help users with few merit and I also give them a new idea for writing their seeds phrase.
I come up with a game called crypto gram. "A cryptogram is a type of puzzle that consists of a short piece of encrypted text. Generally, the cipher used to encrypt the text is simple enough that the cryptogram can be solved by hand."

An example: DFTVT XVT PLG? is Where are you?

How to solve a Cryptogram

Cryptogram is a way of reading messages in a form of code apart from the participant earning merit through this game it can also help them develop a new way of reading their BTC wallet seeds phrase to avoid the mistake made recently by a Bitcoiner which the cop body cam exposed his wallet seed phrase to the public.

Hint: Every cryptogram message I will post are wise quote and the best to solve a cryptogram is to go for the smaller or repeated words in the sentence. This game is for everyone though and the first person to post the right answer is the winner.

Let's have some fun.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Hold your bag when you can on: July 20, 2022, 02:58:27 PM
A couple of days ago all I have seen are a lot of threads where people ask questions about the possibility of Bitcoin going down to $1 or coming to an end because they are panicked that Bitcoin may not experience another surge in price due to how the market downtrend a lot in just a few days ago. Are you wondering the reason behind this sudden surge in the price?

It's because "CCP tanks protecting banks because the Bank of China (Henan branch) declared that people's savings in their branch are now investment products and can't be withdrawn."

The world we are living in is far from perfect and issues like this where the institutions and FEDs take advantage of the people will always happen. This will make people realize the purpose of BTC and before that happen hold your bag when you can.
Always remember, not your key not your coin.
8  Economy / Exchanges / CoinBase worse case on: June 24, 2022, 04:55:54 PM
I know it is not something new to most privacy enthusiasts that Coinbase exchange the number 1 cunt exchange in the cryptocurrency market but they just took their centralization to the next level when they said all customers in the Netherlands will need to provide additional information (Recipient's full name,  residential address, and Purpose of transfer) if the recipient is out of Coinbase exchange starting on June 27, 2022.

If they could do this to Netherland another EU may be next. Is there room for privacy in the future?

9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / MetaMask found a vulnerability through which they can steal your passphrase on: June 16, 2022, 05:22:29 PM
This information was based on Metamask Tweet today but the source can be found below for a better understanding of the vulnerability.

Security researchers at Halborn have disclosed an instance where a Secret Recovery Phrase used by web based wallets like MetaMask could be extracted from the disk of a compromised computer under some conditions.

The following does not impact MetaMask Mobile users, and impacts a small segment of MetaMask Extension users as well as users of other browsers/extension wallets. Halborn felt this violated the user expectations of our password lock feature, and could therefore put some users at risk. We have since implemented mitigations for these issues, so these should not be problems for users of the MetaMask Extension versions 10.11.3 and the current version at the moment is 10.15.0.

If all of the following three conditions apply to you, you may be at risk, and you should read below for the next steps:

1) Your hard drive was not encrypted
2) You imported your Secret Recovery Phrase into a MetaMask extension on a device that is in possession of someone you do not trust, or your computer is compromised
3) You used the “Show Secret Recovery Phrase” checkbox to view your Secret Recovery Phrase on-screen during that import process. (see below image)

Go and update our browser and Metamask itself to the latest version

This affects:

All desktop operating systems and browsers that we have tested.
We tested on Windows, macOS, and Linux, with Google Chrome, Chromium, and Firefox browsers.
All versions of the MetaMask extension (prior to v10.11.3) on all browser versions.
This does not affect MetaMask Mobile.

The Secret Recovery Phrase does get cleared eventually, but we cannot make guarantees about when at this time.

This vulnerability is most likely to affect users who had a device compromised or stolen soon after importing their Secret Recovery Phrase into MetaMask.

If all of the above conditions apply to you, then your Secret Recovery Phrase may be accessible to someone with access to the computer you imported your Secret Recovery Phrase on, and you may want to consider migrating funds from those accounts to be safe.
Halborn has prepared a guide to migrate account funds here.

Use of any third party migration tools must be used at your own risk.

10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / How to explain Bitcoin to Newbies on: October 22, 2021, 09:30:15 PM
There's a friend about Bitcoin last 2 years who have no interest in it but I was surprised when he came to me last week to tell me what he need to know about Bitcoin. I asked him why the sudden change of heart, he told me about the testimony he hear from someone and how he would have made enough profit effortlessly.

He's still a newbie. My question is, is there a way or link for to explain Bitcoin to newbies?

Apart from the forum rules and regulations is there a thread on this forum that explains in detail the whole concept of crypto currency on this forum?
11  Bitcoin / Press / [2021-09-28] CFTC Imposes A $1.25 Million Penalty against Kraken exchange on: September 28, 2021, 11:07:13 PM
Washington, D.C. — The Commodity Futures Trading Commission today issued an order filing and settling charges against Kraken for illegally offering margined retail commodity transactions in digital assets, including Bitcoin, and failing to register as a futures commission merchant (FCM). Kraken, founded in 2011, is one of the largest digital asset exchanges in the U.S.

The order requires Kraken to pay a $1.25 million civil monetary penalty and to cease and desist from further violations of the Commodity Exchange Act (CEA), as charged.

The CFTC’s order finds that from approximately June 2020 to July 2021, Kraken offered margined retail commodity transactions in digital assets to U.S. customers who were not eligible contract participants. According to the order, Kraken served as the sole margin provider and maintained physical and/or constructive custody of all assets purchased using margin for the duration of a customer’s open margined position.

Where a customer purchased an asset using margin, Kraken supplied the digital asset or national currency to pay the seller for the asset. Kraken required customers to exit their positions and repay the assets received to trade on margin within 28 days. Customers could not transfer assets away from Kraken until satisfying their repayment obligation. If repayment was not made within 28 days, Kraken could unilaterally force the margin position to be liquidated. Kraken could also initiate a forced liquidation if the value of the collateral dipped below a certain threshold percentage of the total outstanding margin. As a result, actual delivery of the purchased assets failed to occur.

These transactions were unlawful because they were required to take place on a designated contract market and did not. Additionally, by soliciting and accepting orders for and entering into retail commodity transactions with customers, and accepting money or property (or extending credit in lieu thereof) to margin these transactions, Kraken illegally operated as an unregistered FCM.

The Division of Enforcement staff responsible for this action are Daniel Jordan, Rishi Gupta, Erica Bodin, and Rick Glaser. Philip W. Raimondi of the Legal Division, Richard Mo of the Division of Data, Rachel K. Reicher of the Division of Market Oversight, and former staff member of the Division of Market Oversight, Thomas Leahy assisted in this matter.

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Stellar wallet existing user or older on: August 20, 2021, 07:29:14 AM
If you're a native Stellar wallet existing user or older, there's a free AQUA token airdrop going on the right which you can sell or hold if you want.

Aqua is a new token created on the Stellar network and it was said to be designed to supercharge trading on Stellar, bring more liquidity and give control over how it is distributed across various market pairs.
I will advise you to check the email you use to register the wallet and if you receive an email showing the screenshot below it means they have sent you your free airdrop but you need to claim. Login Stellar wallet go to pending transactions select the first sent airdrop token and claim it but if you don't know how to do this, click email link sent to you but I will advise you to log in to your wallet through the direct link before clicking on the airdrop claim link in your email just to be more careful.

If you don't have enough XLM in the wallet you cant claim the airdrop token and the airdrop has 5 phase which was scheduled from the 16 of August, 16 of September till Jan 2022 but you need to make sure you claim this airdrop token before the expiry date.

If you don't get the airdrop, go to this https://aqua.network/ and check if your Stellar wallet is legible for other Aqua airdrop.

Note: I don't know if every Stellar wallet is applicable to this token but I got it through my native Stellar wallet used since 2019.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Safety on: July 20, 2021, 07:15:33 PM
I have read several times on this forum where people said human error is what lead to vulnerability to attack but I read that air gap computer was recommended several time on this forum is not that secure while  Malwarebytes was also said to work base on how it was programmed, that is also not that secure and I believe in the next 5-10years Bitcoin price will reach 6digit and after this happens crypto holders will be the major target of online theft.

As a preparation for what may happen now and in the future, what are the 0% error/100% step a crypto holder or investors need to follow to avoid been expose or securely save his investment from attackers?
14  Economy / Reputation / [RESOLVED]reporting a manager on: May 08, 2021, 06:06:01 PM
I don't know if this is right but it seems that the bounty manager is doing it on purpose and he left me with no choice.

What happen: I participated in a bounty presale (SOV), everybody got their rewards except me (I believe) and I contact the bounty manager(irfan_pak10) about the issue which he told me to fill the complaint form.
I filled the complaint form and also PM the bounty manager both on the forum and telegram but never reply to my messages or talk about sending me the require token.

I'm reporting this issue cause I believe the forum member will look into this issue irrespective of my rank or the manager's reputation.

Thanks
15  Other / Meta / Better understanding about the forum Plagiarism on: January 22, 2021, 08:00:15 AM
Have seen some plagiarism accusation raised on this which led to some user account permaban but I have a question of the plagiarism situation of this forum so not to be among the list that will be reported for plagiarism.
According to what I understand about the © owner rules and regulations every article, content, or news with creative commons licensed (cc) can be copy, edit etc.
Does the forum also consider the content from a site with creative commons licensed plagiarism?
How many % of content copy from © licensed is considered to be plagiarism?

Thanks

16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Upcoming BCH hard fork question on: November 14, 2020, 05:16:35 PM
I believe it's not something new that BCH will undergo a hard fork tomorrow which could possibly generate a new coin but there's something I don't understand about the new coin which will be generated and also airdropped in the ratio of 1:1.
I am holding 0.1BCH does that mean I will also get 0.1 of the newly generated coin or the airdrop is not for people that hold at least 1BCH?
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Will Turnoff Happen to Bitcoin on: November 03, 2020, 03:19:08 PM
A lot of cryptocurrency enthusiasts and investors are hoping for the day Bitcoin and some meaningful altcoins will be mainstream and also use by online payment giant like Paypal. Fortunately, the crypto community received an amazing news this year about Paypal integration of Bitcoin, LTC, ETH etc last month but after the announcement by Paypal Bitcoin have been experiencing a huge transaction lagging and ridiculous size of the mempool.

My question is there any perfect solution put in place fix this problem aside from the lightning network which i don't know much about cause Bitcoin will gain more traffic next year and if nothing is done now it may lead to some turnoff by some investors?
