While I'm learning the new descriptors, and try to figure them out against the old school private keys, sent few coins from one old imported address to a new Bech32m taproot address.

The transaction is not even in the mempool, if I try to search it in a block explorer it looks like it doesn't even exist.

The address was fully rescan and the wallet is synced to the blockchain, so what is going on?

Hello everyone,

I finally decided to use again the beloved bitcoin core wallet after several years.

These last events regarding CEX, regulations and ETF approvals, let me think that is not safe anymore, if ever, to keep my bitcoin on Binance.

I downloaded the last bitcoin core version, synced with the blockchain, and I wanted to import some wallet addresses I used back in the day and, I wanted to get the private keys of some new addresses just created, but in both cases I got this error: "Only legacy wallets are supported by this command (code -4)".

I don't get how to use private keys with this bitcoin core version, in my opinion being able to fully control private keys is the most important part of safety using bitcoin, so I'm uncomfortable to withdraw my funds without being sure of being in total control of my private keys.

These are the command I'm using on the wallet console:

I would like to ask your opinion about an idea that stumble upon my mind few days ago.

I'm using STEEM and the STEEMIT dapp since a year already. After I registered I used it for a while to test it, than summer arrived and during my vacation I didn't use it at all, than I started to use it again, and due that I can code a bit I wrote a couple of programs to be used on it, than I invested a bit to rise my UPVOTE POWER, and the results are not bad in my opinion.

I started to study a bit all the functionality of the steem blockchain, and the STEEM POWER delegation intrigued me a lot.
For whom who doesn't know the STEEM POWER DELEGATION is the possibility to give your STEEM coins to someone else but without losing the control over them. I thought what a fantastic opportunity to develop an investment fund where the people doesn't have to trust the operator, and were the possibility of SCAM is impossible.

With this system the delegatee (the fund operator) has no control at all over the coins delegated, can not move them or withdraw or whatever, can just use them to upvote, and get more RESOURCE CREDITS (that are necessary to process actions on the steem blockchain), like this he or she will be able to create new coins that can be used to payout the investors. If the investors don't like the service or think that the payout ain't good enough, they can simply remove the delegation, and get back their coins anytime they wish.

Of course there are other people that are offering something linked with STEEM POWER DELEGATION already, but I think it is something that  has room for further offers.

Steem is a solid coin, and I think I can offer a service that can payout in STEEM and STEEM DOLLARS, but also in all the important coins out there, to made it more interesting for the people.

Said so, I would like to ask your opinion about it:
1. Would you be interested in earning extra coins with something like this?
2. Do you think that change your BTC or altcoin in STEEM to join such a service makes sense?
3. What is the main problem you can see here?

Because I'm developing a project linked with a possible advertise return, I would like to ask you what do you think about the current status of MELLOW ADS.

I used to use it in the past, and actually worked fine for me both as a publisher and as advertiser. The earnings where not fantastic but I got few satoshi out of it, and I got a fair amount of traffic with my campaigns.

I saw that now the site is still online, but it looks with no support at all! On twitter the last tweet was like a year ago.

Do someone are using it now?
Is it still good? How are the current earnings? the withdrawals are working?

I would like to share with you one of my project,

it's a Python script to accept cryptocurrencies payment for website owner.

The program is very simple, It basically allow the website owner to creates DEPOSIT wallets for USERS or CLIENTS, and save them into a DATABASE.

It works with all the coins that use a BITCOIN core clone wallet client. The code published is based on CLAM coin.

I'm going to add new codes to this repository, to manage transactions to hot wallet, and to allow withdrawals to USERS or CLIENTS EXTERNAL WALLETS.

You need a local wallet installed an sync on your computer or on the server. It uses subprocess library to call, and execture che -cli WALLET CONSOLE commands.
