1  Economy / Service Discussion / What services are Bitcoin in need of? on: November 06, 2019, 08:23:02 PM
Bitcoin has progressed into a thriving currency and has touched almost every industry in some way or another but what services would you like to see accepting Bitcoin? This thread has two reasons for being made first to see what services the Bitcoin users are looking for but also to expose certain services which already exist but the majority of people are not aware of.
2  Economy / Reputation / Should selling/buying .edu emails be considerd fraud? on: May 20, 2018, 11:41:26 AM
You've all seen the members selling .edu emails to get various different discounts from online stores. Namely Amazon Prime but registering a edu email normally requires you to be in a university although these people are selling hundreds of .edu emails which suggests they are doing the more blackhat ways which requires you lying that you are in full time education or using an existing students name in higher education.

I don''t think this is something which should be encouraged and probably should be disallowed per the forum rules because fraud is illegal in every country. What do you guys think?

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Is Cold Staking a 'must have feature' moving forward for all PoS? on: March 10, 2017, 01:32:55 PM
With Bitbay's announcement that they have will be implementing Cold Staking in the coming days I was wondering which coins use it, and if you think its a 'must' have feature moving forward for all PoS?

Im aware of one other which is Decred.

Just to familiarise yourselves with the term 'Cold Staking' - It gives you the ability to put two keys on separate computers.  To break into your wallet the hacker would need to access both computers and break both keys.

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Bitbay Announce First Decentralized Market Release (out of Beta) on: March 28, 2016, 09:04:16 PM
Just seen this over at Bitbay;

-------------------------------

First Decentralised Market Release - APRIL 2016
Date:28th March 2016

April 2016 will see the official release of our first client. A faster and better version which will form the platform for all future templates and updates.

In addition to major enhancements the release will also fix all issues that have been reported by the users. The windows version is currently being tested by our core team.

Also, we have recently been in contact with Microsoft Azure and their requirements to join would delay the final release of the Bitbay client. We would rather complete the client and focus on its integration into other services. A more detailed post has already been made by David on Slack.
