I will want to draw attention of newbies towards this scam on social media, the wide popularity of bitcoin is an advantage for criminals.
I got a message from an anonymous person on whatsapp offering me an opportunity to invest in bitcoin and earn twice your investment in no time, this guys confuses you with fake chat of others claiming to have been paid from the investment, which I knew where altered and I did the rightful thing by blocking the person.
I would like to call on newbies not to fall victim on social media in the name of investing in bitcoin
If you willing to invest in bitcoin you can get bitcoin wallet and go to an exchange where you can buy bitcoin and keep in your wallet, very easy.
Planning to double your money in a day through bitcoin on social media is at your own risk there is hardly such type of investment being genuine

When you decided to make that big decision to start investment in cryptocurrency or any other investment areas it's best to know it can go two ways which is either you gain or lose but as a rookie you are not eluded from newbies mistake no matter the knowledge you must have gained practical is an entirely different thing.

3  Other / Meta / The mod of B&H board has been away for too long on: December 13, 2018, 07:46:43 PM
The beginners and help board is a very vital board of the forum and rightfully needs to more attention since its mostly for beginners that's means there would be a lot of mistakes or errors from newbies that requires attention from the moderator and delete or move those that are not meant to be there.

I have been noticing unlike other board where the mods comes in at sometimes into threads to share there thought the moderator of the B&H section those not come in so I checked on his profile;u=14001
The moderator was last active on April 4 2018

I don't know if this is right for a mod to be away for that long.

Or has the forum had a replacement if so they should have indicated by erasing the former mods name with the current mods
4  Other / Politics & Society / Google the word "idiot" and Donald Trump would appear on: December 13, 2018, 09:36:02 AM
According to the dictionary idiot means a very stupid person well the word idiot is synonymous to president Donald Trump according to search about idiot on google.

I am not a supporter of Donal trump and I don't share some of his ideas but it's quite amusing to see him likened as an idiotic person don't really know if he can sue google for this or is it just a coincidence

What ever reason it is idiot is quite a harsh and unreasonable term to tag the president of one of the top most nation of the world it's not just an insult to Donal trump it's an insult to America and it's citizens as a whole regardless of if you like the man or not.

5  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin all the way up on: November 25, 2018, 11:32:33 AM

6  Other / Meta / No African local board on: November 19, 2018, 07:06:30 PM
Just going through the local board section and could not locate any African board. The forum is fill with individuals from diverse nationality and I think the forum has a healthy amount of Africans. And cryptocurrency is fast breaking into the continent and a lot of African individuals are getting involved. It would be great to have a board where you meet individuals from your continent not only because you might share common language but because you share common economical, political and financial issues and can discuss how cryptocurrency can play a role in the regards.

I doubt that African countries can be listed individually but the can be grouped by region like a West Africa board, South Africa board, North Africa board and East Africa board. Mostly African countries from a particular  region has a lot in common.

This will serve as an encouragement to African

7  Other / Beginners & Help / Decentralized exchanges on: November 10, 2018, 06:43:10 PM
       What is Decentralized exchanges
Like decentralisation implies a this are exchanges that are not under any regulations and authority of any government, Central bank or any other agency.
Exchanges are where cryptocurrency are traded this makes it important in the cryptocurrency world. We have centralized exchanges and decentralized exchanges. As earlier stated decentralized exchanges are those not under regulation of external bodies and centralized exchanges are the opposite of it.
Decentralized exchanges on like the centralized exchanges support individual to individual trading you do not necessarily have to move you asset into the exchange to prevent cases of loses due to hacking of the exchanges.

Exchanges controls big cryptocurrency fund and it's not much to wonder why they are the target of criminals. From statics amounts way above 500million$ has been lost by exchanges this in turn has caused heart aches for users of the exchanges. There has been a lot of recorded cryptocurrency loses by exchanges and bitcoin has been the number one target by criminals
Most Time most of this exchanges do not pay any form of compensation to its affected users.

Why should we use decentralized exchanges
I would be lying if I say decentralized exchanges are above attack from fraudsters and criminals. No infact it can be hit by them but unlike centralized exchanges that is own by company's that are mostly after making profit you tend to have some sort of personal security you would be in possession of your private keys and other identities.
Although decentralized exchanges has some short comings of being complicated and not well organised like centralise exchanges where accessing it is quite easy. It's available trading option is still quite fewer than centralized exchanges and most new ico project mostly list on centralized exchanges.
There is a lot of work needed to be Done to make decentralized exchanges function at a high standards. The success of cryptocurrency has some attributes to its decentralized nature the value coins on the decentralized exchanges would not be affected by any company or bodies. This would have positive effect of prices there are whole lot of opportunities decentralized exchanges offers.

9  Other / Beginners & Help / Importance of miners on: November 02, 2018, 04:24:33 PM
Who is a miner? What is the importance of a miner? Although the answers to these questions are comprehensible for those that has been in cryptocurrency for a while but it's still not clear to newbies

Who are miners and how do they work
Cryptocurrency is a decentralized system which is it not under regulation so there is a possibility for blockchain technology to be misused my users some might take the advantage of the decentralized system to perpetrate illicit transcations. A miners doesn't necessarily have to be a cryptocurrency gray hair even a newbie can become a miner. Like with other government control currency where they can control and determine how much is printed and in circulation. This is not the case in cryptocurrency because it not under any governmental circulations.

So you would ask how does coins like bitcoin come about and what controls it price?
To become a cryptocurrency miner you would need to put together a mathematical puzzle using soft ware for example in bitcoin the puzzle made by satoshi Nakamoto where you get bitcoin after solving the puzzle.
This way bitcoin are mined and are in circulation. There are 21million BTC available for mining and china has the highest percentage of mining are there are some statics that it might be mined up in future

How does the work of a miner affect the price
The price of a commodity is affected by demand and supply. If the demand is high and the supply is low the price goes up but if the reverse is the case then the price drops. So if miners has been able to mining more bitcoin for example there will be enough bitcoin in circulation and if not the circulation of bitcoin will reduce.

So mining in cryptocurrency is a very important aspect of cryptocurrency and trading

10  Other / Meta / My perspective of the forum on: October 30, 2018, 11:08:36 AM
When I has been introduced to the forum by a friend I was told that this is a forum where high ranking members prey on lower member. That there is always a collective attack on lower members I must say I was quite scared when I joined I was not so enlightened about cryptocurrency but I was ready to try.

Even from my registration I started learning this might me embarrassing but o knew what hydrant was through the captcha process. My very first few days I had begun to understand more and more everyday. The forum became interesting to me. I got it this is a no nonsense forum and most newbies are undermining the standard of the forum and get scolded by members Thats certainly not a vendetta. I just hope we can change our wrong perspective and no that the forum is bigger and more  than everybody not even a legendary member is above the forum rules and regulations (recently some lengendary members were banned) avoid scepticism you where here to achieve a goal. Keep a clear head and a zeal to learn and improve then you would enjoy your time here
11  Other / Beginners & Help / Taking merit as a proof of good work, originality and simplicity on: October 22, 2018, 03:32:13 PM
Hello community

I am new to this forum although am not new to cryptocurrency in general. I was introduced into bitcointalk forum by I group I join on telegram. The group is generally fill with bounty and airdrops hunters.

They had told me something about the forum some I took to heart other I felt where just pure falsehood.
My first few glance on the forum I new I would love and enjoy it here I dont need any form of ambiguous desire.

So the other day I read an article about a guy complaining to losing money to an escrow agent.  Then I made a post on that topic knowing that someone would be touched

I also shared it on the group on telegram and the next thing I read was a laughing emoji from almost all the member I was confused then the admin said it was a nice post but I wouldn't get merit I replied by stating the reason to which I made the post but he bluffed it and said that merit is the most important reason right now and if it had been made by a higher ranking member it would have gotten tons of merit also stating that they where looking for a way to buy merit that no one can get it originally

But i realsied something this guy's has been here for quite a while and a merit focused and had made not less that 100 post but had no gotten merit.

I took my time to do an investigation then I came across this post
Then I knew what to do I just told them to keep an eye on me and my next post and learn that the forum is not disorganized . I have realised that those that put merit in front on them will not get it but those that impact positively and staying original and simple with

PS. We here primarily to gain knowledge and also contribute effectively and every other things are just And added advantages

12  Other / Beginners & Help / China and cryptocurrency on: October 20, 2018, 07:42:38 AM
China is one country that has an indirect ban on cryptocurrency but I stand to be corrected the have the highest bitcoin mining percentage.

China seems to be active in cryptocurrency the have gone even further

I came across a news that tron is in partnership with  Baidu a Chinese internet powerhouse to make use of there cloud solution

Tron which is a blockchain based foundation aims to decentralise the internet and partnership with Baidu is a great step to achieving that
