Local / Pamilihan / Lyka App
on: January 16, 2021, 07:25:13 AM
Link: https://amp.reddit.com/r/beermoneyph/comments/him2bg/sa_mga_nagtatanong_if_scam_ba_yung_lyka_ito/ Hindi ba masyadong too good to be true yung offer na kikita ka sa pakikipag interact at pag upload lang ng photos and videos? Anong masasabi nyo dito?

Economy / Gambling discussion / PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos.
on: June 03, 2020, 05:34:24 AM
After 2 months of strict quarantine in the Philippines, PAGCOR (Philippines Amusement and Gaming Corporation) submitted an approval to resume land-based gaming to IATF (Inter-Agency Task Force). Last month they submitted the request including the proposed safety guidelines to follow by the operators. Last March when the Philippines started its ECQ (Enhanced Community Quarantine) where most businesses have closed, and only essential businesses remain. While the start of June, they lifted the lockdown to GCQ (General Community Quarantine) were workers and employees can go back to work and the opening of some businesses. For the whole 2 months of ECQ, most businesses have no income, same with casinos. Until now, casinos are closed and gambling is still banned in the country to avoid crowded places. Now, PAGCOR revealed that they submitted a request to resume the operations of land-based casinos. They included safety protocols such as; -wearing of face masks -strict compliance of social distancing -limiting the capacity of not more than 50% to both table games and EGMs -preventing standing bettors or loitering in the gaming areas. The possible date for re-opening is June 16 when GCQ restrictions come under further review.
Some land-based casinos have already shown their preparations for the possible reopening of casinos. Safety measures include regular disinfecting of equipment, thermal scanning, sanitation mats, and more. Big casinos are being monitored, waiting if they are planning to re-open soon. This is good news for gamblers who badly want to gamble if they allowed the reopening of casinos. But knowing the correct situation, our country has already almost 19,000 positive cases, they might reject this request. And if ever they will reopen land-based casinos, perhaps only high-class people can gamble because lower-class gamblers don't gamble in a big casino. Personally, I don't know if they will approve this request or not because unlike the gamblers, the public will probably don't want to reopen casinos. Do you think it's safe to reopen land-based gaming knowing that the cases are still increasing by hundreds every day? Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Treasure Hunting in an Album
on: May 14, 2020, 11:36:48 AM
Logic Beach, an instrumental, non-verbal techie sounding music group release a new album with a little treasure hunting game as they hid bitcoin in the album. Herman Felker, the person behind Logic Beach posted on Reddit that he had hidden the seed to a wallet inside his latest album. The amount of bitcoin hidden was 0.03 (+0.02) BTC. He also added that, "'Bifurcations' by Logic Beach is a Lo-Fi, Synth-Glitch, experimental project I've put together to celebrate the halving and to have a bit of fun. You will need the Lossless versions of the songs to solve this thing. (download the .wav files)." He also noted that the sales of his album will be added to the prize, although users can still access the album for free on a site called Bandcamp. According to Felker, the puzzle isn't that difficult, and he's not expecting that this treasure hunting will last that long. He also wanted the winner can share his method on Reddit but if he chooses to be anonymous, that's also fine for him. At press time, the album's wallet address, bc1qj7467e7r5pdfpypm03wyvguupdrld0ul2gcutg, still holds the BTC prize. "If no one solves it by May 21, I'll take it down and explain the solution," Felker said in the Reddit post. Is not this exciting especially for people who love treasure hunting and deciphering codes? In love the idea of how he puts his 12 seed phrase secretly in his latest album and asking people to solve it. What can you say about this? I may not be a fan and good at this challenge, but it's interesting and this can be also a good pass time while we are on quarantine. I checked his YouTube account, and you can check his album there. And to be honest, I'm not the type of person who likes that kind of music (but I'm not saying it's not good). And what I think, musically inclined people can find the answer to his wallet. If you're interested, you can also check his album Youtube link:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T2YtHBubtHg Source:https://cointelegraph.com/news/treasure-hunters-race-to-claim-btc-prize-hidden-in-new-music-album

Economy / Gambling discussion / Do you feel this pressure on physical gambling?
on: May 13, 2020, 02:01:57 PM
In physical gambling (whether it's a big casino or just small gambling), do pressure on your opponents or playmates actually happen? Like for example, you only set a limited capital but since your friends still want to play, you will end up using all of your money. Or let's say in a casino, you have used all of your allotted money on gambling but since your opponent is winning and he wants to play more, do you exceed on your limit? Just because you don't want to look like you are afraid, that you don't have enough money already, and that you are losing?
Since I do online gambling, I don't feel this kind of pressure. I can stop whenever I want or when I have used all of my money. I don't feel embarrassed or what.
PS: I'm not sure if this topic already existed here and if there's I'm gonna delete this thread.

Economy / Gambling discussion / Casino workers, asking for salary during the shutdown
on: April 10, 2020, 11:23:38 AM
Casinos and other non-essential businesses were temporarily closed due to the virus spreading the word. We often think about gambling businesses having no income, and the decrease of the stock market. But we're forgetting about their employees who get no job and salary in the current situation. Casino workers in Las Vegas showed their disappointment and anger towards their employers who failed to help and provide them what they need. Famous Las Vegas Strip of glitzy hotels and casino is closed due to lockdown, and thousands of their employees were left with no work and income. However, some casinos were able to support their workers and offered them a two-week salary, others gave four, while some gave nothing. "This is not going to sustain us — we need to feed our families, we need to put food on the table, we have bills mounting up,” said Debra Jeffries, a cocktail waitress for four decades at a major Strip casino. Las Vegas has more than 40 million visitors every year and it is known for casinos. According to the American Gaming Association, if all casinos in the US will continue to be closed until mid-May, including nearby restaurants and bars, $43.5 billion in economic activity will lose. The treasurer-secretary of the giant Las Vegas-based Culinary Union, Geoconda Arguello-Kline called giant operating casinos to do their responsibility in the community. “We feel the casino industry right now, they left their workers alone… it’s a very painful situation,” said Arguello-Kline.
Although it's awful that some successful casino owners and management forget to protect and help their employees who helped them to become successful, some casino owners were able to send help and give their employees the salary they need. Perhaps they don't care about their employees' financial struggle because they have a lot of money, and they can survive the whole lockdown with that money. It's their responsibility to give them a salary even if the business is closed. They should be prepared in times like this, and for sure they have an emergency fund to provide their employees. It's only a simple sacrifice for the employees who have been working for them every day. Source:https://news.mb.com.ph/2020/04/10/las-vegas-casino-workers-abandoned-in-ghost-town/

Local / Pilipinas / [Updated]Philippine SEC warns of crypto Ponzi Scheme
on: April 03, 2020, 08:21:04 AM

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Italian Red Cross is now seeking Bitcoin donations
on: March 22, 2020, 05:28:38 PM
Italy has been facing a big crisis after coronavirus spread rapidly and infecting thousands of people in Italy that also causes thousand of death in the country. As various news states that Italy had surpassed China with the number of deaths caused by the pandemic. Now, the country is facing lockdown to prevent the virus from spreading even more. Italy is also struggling with treating patients because of the lack of manpower and equipment. I've read in an article that Italian doctors have to choose whom to treat first because they cannot treat every patient at the same time. Aside from manpower, they are also lacking in medical equipment. The Italian Red Cross is seeking donations and even accepting bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for medical equipment.
Italian Red Cross launched its fundraising campaign last March 12. Donations flooded them and within three days it surpassed their target of $10,710. They used the donation to purchase materials needed to deploy the pre-triage facility. Even if it already surpassed its target, Italy's Red Cross continue its fundraising and set another goal of almost $26,000. The crypto community also showed their initiative to support them in fighting the virus. They had pledged their contributions to the Italian Red Cross. With the donation, they will use it to purchase the core infrastructure and medical equipment. If the value of bitcoin increases, they will use the surplus to buy additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for their medical staff. Source:https://cointelegraph.com/news/italian-red-cross-coronavirus-bitcoin-fundraiser-smashes-goal-issues-new-initiative/amp
We keep seeing good news and how people are helping each other in fighting the virus. There will always be good people who are willing to help but we still have to be careful in times like this because not everyone is willing to help. We still need to be cautious about scammers online because scammers won't disappear. If you're aware, there are scammers who are impersonating WHO to steal donation funds. I have created a thread about this issue, see the link if you want to know about it. If you want more information about the donation, you can check this link https://app.helperbit.com/project/5e6a64ee84cb8662d901a29c/covid19-advanced-medical-post-for-pretriage-in-italy

Economy / Gambling discussion / Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks?
on: March 21, 2020, 04:56:09 PM
Since almost all casinos and other gambling places are closed due to coronavirus threats, we cannot go to those places and we cannot gamble. The only thing we can do right now is to gamble online.
I know some of the gamblers here are already bored getting stuck inside our houses. Some people here prefer going to casinos than playing online. Even sports are postponed so we cannot do sports betting. So I have a question for everyone, especially those who often go to casinos.
After lockdown or quarantine or after this virus ends, will you go to casino places immediately or will you wait for some days before going?
I know every one of us here really wants to go outside, enjoy, and do what we want after getting locked in our houses. So would you go immediately or not since casinos are still a crowded place? We can't be really sure that it's already safe unless they will announce that the world is COVID-19 free or if they have already found a cure.
PS: I don't know if someone has already asked this kind of question and I'm not quite sure if this topic has been discussed here but I just want to know your opinions and plan after this outbreak.

Economy / Scam Accusations / Scammers Impersonate WHO To Steal BTC Donation
on: March 21, 2020, 09:15:12 AM
Another day, another news to share. As almost all of us are experiencing lockdown and cannot go outside our houses due to the threat of COVID-19. Everyone is worried about our current situation and when will this pandemic stop but the good thing about this is we can still see the humanity in us. People are coming out of being a good Samaritan and helping other people in need. There are various donations where you can help even without going outside of your house. But there are also people who are taking advantage of others just for their own benefits. Online scammers can't be stopped by this pandemic and they're even using this issue to steal other people's money. According to Sophos, a cybersecurity firm, scammers are impersonating World Health Organization to steal cryptocurrency donations allocated for COVID-19. World Health Organization (WHO) established a donation fund in partnership with the United Nations Foundation to help them fight the virus. COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund was launched with the support of Facebook and Google, asking people to help to support the fund. The cybersecurity expert Chester Wisniewski said that the scammers are misleading people to send their bitcoin to them as a donation supposedly for the COVID-19 fund. "The fake donation request reported by Wisniewski doesn’t refer to the website at all, however. According to the screenshot, the impersonators ask the potential donors to donate by sending Bitcoin directly to an address given in the email. The impersonators are also using a forged address, donate@who.int, in order to defraud people, according to data from the security researcher. As of press time, both listed Bitcoin addresses in the fake emails are empty, according to data from Blockchain.com’s explorer." https://cointelegraph.com/news/scammers-impersonate-world-health-organization-to-steal-btc-covid-19-donations You can find more information about the donation fund on their official website but there's clear information whether they accept cryptocurrency or not. WHO has already warned people to be careful and beware of scammers circulating on the internet. I've checked their official site and they are providing information on how to avoid scammers and to prevent phishing. https://www.who.int/about/communications/cyber-security
We should always be careful with our money. And be aware of the possible scams we can encounter on the internet. Even if we only aim to help, we can still get scammed so in order to avoid it, be cautious and make sure that you are donating on legit donations. There's a lot of donations available right now that's being offered by different organizations so make sure your money will go on the right hand. Since almost everyone is just staying at home, their pastime is to spend their time on the internet and that's where scammers can find more opportunities to scam more people. Before sending money, you need to make a research first about the organization's donations to ensure that the money is safe. Do not give your personal and private information and don't click suspicious link being sent to you. We are fighting the virus yet it doesn't mean you can already trust everyone, especially on the internet. Though I'm still in awe that people would still really be scamming others in a crisis like this. Stay safe from the virus and also from scammers!

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Bitcoin Theft
on: March 18, 2020, 06:14:44 PM
Two Canadian were imprisoned for 2 years after being caught from stealing 23.2 bitcoin in Twitter for scamming someone back in 2017. According to the US Department of Justice, 23-year-old Karanjit Khatar and 24-year-olds Jagroop Khatkar are two Canadian that were sentenced to imprisonment for laundering money and conspiracy to commit wire fraud. Back in 2017 using the Twitter platform, scammers impersonated customer service of HitBTC (a Hong Kong-based crypto exchange) with a username of @HitBTCAssist. They responded to a question concerning the withdrawal process and the two were able to convince the Oregon resident to forward sensitive information which leads the scammers to transfer an amount of 23.2 bitcoin to their wallet. During the time of the theft, the amount was about $130,000. After receiving that amount of bitcoin, the two divided the money into equal parts and within just two days, Karanjit was able to purchase a luxury car of Mercedes Benz and was able to gamble in high-end casinos in Las Vegas. Karanjit was arrested in the airport in July 2019 and the two pleaded guilty in December. Source:https://cointelegraph.com/news/two-canadians-sentenced-to-prison-time-in-us-for-bitcoin-theft
This is a lesson for each and every one of us that we shouldn't be trusting everyone here on the internet. It's easy to create a Twitter account and act as if you're a legit account so we should really be careful when sharing private information (we shouldn't do that in the first place). They may look like a real account but of course, it's what they need to fool people. There is a high risk of getting scammed on the internet especially if they know that you have cryptocurrency. Scam and fraud are very common in this field so we should really be careful with our assets. We should know whether to trust someone or not. I have already seen a lot of news like this and I'm sharing it with everyone to avoid being one of them. We wouldn't want to lose big amounts and our hard-earned money, right? If we were able to learn how to earn money, we should also learn how to keep that money safe from scammers. Let's learn from what kind of news we are seeing. It's just sad to think that the scammer used the money for his own good. He manages to buy and do the things he wants. He lives in a luxury life using the money he didn't earn. If that was my money, I don't know what to do anymore. But gladly that they were already caught. Although I don't know if two years was enough as a punishment (aside from the fine). After two years they can still repeat scamming others.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / US Woman Funding ISIS With Bitcoin
on: March 15, 2020, 06:54:22 AM
A woman, Zoobia Shahnaz of Long Island was sentenced to jail for 13 years for laundering money to fund ISIS using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. Department of Justice stated that she was working to fund ISIS through crypto payments for over $150,000 and is working to move to Syria to be part of ISIS. In order for her to fund money, Shahnaz defrauded banks and secured loans and credit cards under false pretenses to buy cryptocurrency. Back in July 2017, she was on her way to travel to Syria but officials prevented her from boarding her flight in New York City. She was then arrested in 2017. She was pleaded guilty in 2018 however because of her motives of volunteering and medical aid for refugees in Syria via Syrian American Medical Society she was sentenced to 13 years in prison. If she doesn't have any history or motives of any charitable works she could have been sentenced up to 110 years in prison. The sentencing memorandum continued to highlight Shahnaz’s history of charitable work: “Unlike the79 Americans identified in the study who traveled to Syria and/or Iraq since 2011 and affiliated with jihadist groups active in those countries, none were motivated by the same things that drove Zoobia Shahnaz. That is, a desire to heal the sick and care for the wounded.”

Although she was funding ISIS, due to her charitable work, her defense worked that her sentenced years decreased. However, it is another reason for the authorities to be strict with cryptocurrency as it is their way to fund and support ISIS. If this is their way to get funded, for sure other terrorist groups we're also going the same to get funds without getting tracked by the government. It's not surprising to us that cryptocurrency is getting involved in this kind of transactions but this could only bring fear and doubt to the public if they keep on hearing negative news related to cryptocurrency. Maybe it's one of the major reasons why the government is trying to seize bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies because it can be used for illegal transactions like this. What can you say about it?

Economy / Economics / Digital Diplomas With Blockchain
on: March 14, 2020, 09:44:57 AM
As everyone is talking about the pandemic coronavirus, some Italian high schools want to adapt the issuance of digital diploma with the help of blockchain technology. With the growing number of people being affected by the virus in Italy, it is announced by WHO that Italy is now the new epicenter of the pandemic with about 1,000+ death cases and 17,000+ affected of the said virus. Italy is now facing a country lockdown to stop the virus from spreading. School classes were also suspended so some schools had to find a solution for graduating students. The schools are located in Rome and Crotone. The licei internazionali di Villa Flaminia in Rome will rely on a blockchain-based system developed by the EY company, while the l'Istituto d'Istruzione Superiore "M. Ciliberto - A. Lucifero" from Crotone has partnered with Blockchain Italia. Two high schools will issue digital diplomas using blockchain technology to avoid fraudulent diplomas. It seeks to ensure the transparency of issuing the diploma and to prevent fake diplomas. Source:https://cointelegraph.com/news/two-italian-high-schools-to-issue-digital-diplomas-with-blockchain
Some countries affected by the virus are suspending classes to lessen the possibility of spreading the virus more as it's hard to handle hundreds of cases. Lessons and even the graduation of some students had been postponed. Other teachers are still finding solutions to deal with the suspension like online classes or submission of papers online. But graduations can't be done online so the least thing they can do is to issue digital diplomas. It's not really the best thing to do but since Italy is facing a big crisis, they have no choice but to find alternatives while they are staying in their homes. Blockchain technology plays a big role to make it possible and to ensure the legitimacy of the diploma without the risk of being altered. It's sad to think that graduation is a special occasion that only happens once in a while yet they have to experience this kind of situation but for the safety of everyone, I think it's the best alternative they can do. After this pandemic, they can still get their diploma and have their graduations.

Economy / Economics / WHO encourages use of digital payments due to COVID19
on: March 10, 2020, 04:21:42 PM
Corona Virus has been a big issue that disturbed everyone not only in China for months. But this outbreak never stopped and it continues to spread in the different country putting everyone in fear. With the huge number of cases, central banks had to quarantine their banknotes just to lessen the possibility of spreading the virus. If you're curious, you can see the previous thread I started regarding South Korea quarantining and even burning their cash https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5231105.40 February 15, lenders in China were asked by their government to disinfect their money for 14 days. Federal Reserve also trying to set aside US dollars from Asia for 7-10 days before including it in circulation. Also, the Bank of England advises its people to wash their hands after handling money because it can hold bacteria and viruses. With this outbreak, a spokesperson of WHO said that “people should use contactless [payment] technology where possible.” Source:https://www.forbes.com/sites/rogerhuang/2020/03/09/who-encourages-use-of-digital-payments-due-to-covid-19
It's obvious why he suggested it to prevent having contact with money that a lot of people had previously own. This brings a chance for cryptocurrency to be recognized by the government. Suggesting less physical transactions means that cryptocurrency can help with that. To avoid having contact with different people, we can use cryptocurrency for transactions that we don't have to touch any paper money or even have close contact with the people we're having a transaction with. Those countries with a higher number of cases of the virus should try looking at this opportunity because even with a small part, it can help them and their people to keep themselves safe. Countries like China and Korea who have a great number of cases can adapt to these changes easily because they are a developed country. Instead of continuously putting their bills on quarantine, they can lessen the work if they would be willing to adopt it. Recently, Korea had legalized cryptocurrency which makes it easier for them to adopt it.

Economy / Economics / South Korea quarantines and burn their cash due to Coronavirus
on: March 07, 2020, 02:02:27 PM
South Korea is one of the countries with a high number of cases of Coronavirus or COVID-19 with 6,248 infected cases. Due to the rapidly increasing of people being affected by the virus, travel ban to South Korea has been imposing by almost a hundred countries around the world. As for precaution by the local government of South Korea, its central bank Bank of Korea (BOK) had been quarantining its banknote for two weeks and even burned some of it to lessen the possibility of more outbreaks. "For all cash coming to the central bank from local banks, the Bank of Korea will keep it in a safe for two weeks, given that the virus usually dies out after nine days," a BOK official told Reuters. Source:https://www.gmanetwork.com/news/news/world/728638/s-korea-s-central-bank-burns-quarantines-cash-in-coronavirus-precaution/story/
BOK said that they are putting their currency in a high-heat laundering process before releasing it and adding it to the circulation. It is said that the virus dies in high temperature and similar viruses like SARS emerges during cold weather and then dies during the hot season. South Korean COVID-19 cases are increasing so I think it's a good thing to do to lessen the possibility of spreading the virus. Although by this, the virus won't be totally stopped from spreading but this is a big help especially for countries highly affected by the virus. Paper money is one of the things we are always holding and it is also one of the things that has a lot of bacteria because money is being passed from one person to another. So when we hold money, always make sure to wash and clean your hands before touching your face to keep ourselves protected.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Cryptocurrency featured in Netflix series Altered Carbon
on: March 05, 2020, 05:00:51 PM
Altered Carbon is based on a cyberpunk novel that was aired last 2018 with its first season. The movie is set in the future for more than 300 years or in the early 25th century with great technology changing society. With the recent release of season two last February 27, 2020, some cryptocurrency was featured in the latest episode like bitcoin, zcash, and monero. The scene shows that there's a repair shop where the prices there are in the value of cryptocurrencies with their logos. Source:https://news.bitcoin.com/bitcoin-netflix-altered-carbon/
Although it's just a series and it can't tell whether Bitcoin and other altcoins mentioned will survive for about 300 years, it's good to see that the creator of this movie see cryptocurrency as something futuristic that they used crypto in their movie to represent as means of payment even if it's just a small detail. Also the set up is like describing or showing a dark market in a physical store. Obviously, it doesn't mean to predict nor emphasize that crypto will be the future currency but the idea of adding crypto is great as the movie focuses on future events. And it's also a small way of introducing cryptocurrency as something that you can relate to the future. I bet someone here knows or has already watched this series even just the first season. But does anyone here has watched the fifth episode where this scene was shown? Wanna know if you noticed this small detail or not

Local / Pamilihan / My Bitcointalk Journey
on: February 27, 2020, 01:36:29 PM
Inspired by: cabalism13 Source: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5169930.msg51990410#msg51990410Created this infographics in canva https://www.canva.com/
This is my simple infographics or timeline ng journey ko dito sa forum. Just to make things clear, kaibigan ko gumawa nito at binigay lang sakin before. Nung mahawakan ko itong account na ito, it was nothing. So nagsumikap ako mapataas ang rank ko by joining contests kahit hindi ako ganun ka-talented. I tried my best to give quality posts and nag try na din gumawa ng sariling nga thread. I was accused as an alt of my friend's account who also made this account. I have no grudge or hate against him dahil sa issue na to.

Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / The Simpsons talks about Cryptocurrency
on: February 23, 2020, 11:42:22 AM
Have you seen the video of The Simpsons talking about cryptocurrency in episode 13, season 31 on February 21, 2020? The short clip is about when Jim Parsons gave a brief explanation on what is cryptocurrency and blockchain's function to crypto. Here's a YouTube link for the video if you want to watch. I suggest that you should watch it. It will only take 1 minute and 49 seconds of your time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovyMzT8rS8w It's amazing that cryptocurrency is also being shown in an episode of The Simpsons. I remembered that they have also mentioned Bitcoin before in an episode, I just forget what episode. But what's more, fun is that we're aware that there are times where The Simpsons predicted the future. There's this line in the video where a ledger character is singing and said "Each day I'm closer to being cash of the future. Not in your wallet, I'm in your computer" This idea is already starting since we're slowly achieving mass adoption. Although they didn't mention Bitcoin in this episode with this, it gives me strongly believe that crypto can soon be widely accepted and can be the cash of the future. Also, this statement was shown in the video The last line got my attention because it says "we know who Satoshi is, but we're not telling." I don't know whether to believe this or not because it's just a mere cartoon but this part is really interesting. This episode was already talked on twitter and even the Binance tweet this. I want to look more on the video to look for a hint or something that's related to crypto. What do you think about this episode?

Local / Pilipinas / Comelec Eyes Mobile App for Voting
on: February 20, 2020, 01:13:26 AM

Economy / Economics / Using of Blockchain in Election
on: February 18, 2020, 04:59:54 PM
One usage of blockchain technology is for voting yet the majority still doesn't use blockchain technology during elections. "India’s citizens will soon be able to cast votes from outside their city of registration thanks to a blockchain-based system." Every election, we encounter some citizens who don't vote because of their reasons. It's either they don't want any candidate or they can't vote because they're living far from the voting places. "The commissioner said that regulators are collaborating with the Indian Institute of Technology to develop a blockchain system that would allow citizens to vote remotely." This can help those who have a problem with the distance from their house to the voting place and it's also a way to prevent multiple votings. Source:https://cointelegraph.com/news/indias-citizens-will-vote-with-blockchain-election-commissioner-says
The plan of using blockchain technology in voting is to make it more convenient for others and to make it fraud-proof. During elections, we can really see a lot of things happening, especially for those candidates who really want to win so they will manipulate the result. But with blockchain, it will be hard for them to change and manipulate it. With this, we can achieve more transparency when it comes to the votes. As a concerned citizen, I know what my country is facing, and I feel bad for our situation because those who don't deserve to be in the position are sitting prettily in their thrones. I really think that the different governments should try exploring this technology to help them because it will totally make things easier and more accurate than the usual system where they can cheat. The government shouldn't be afraid of trying it unless they want to manipulate the results. Photo not mine Blockchain can be used in various field and one of that is voting. Although voting is one of blockchain's main usage, not everyone knew nor even aware of it. That's why further practices and studies should be done so they can maximize the use of blockchain technology. Just like what I have said, with this technology, it'll be easier to collect votes and it can't be easily manipulated by someone. I only have limited knowledge about the use-cases of blockchain and I still studying it.
