2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] CoinDash - Operating System For Crypto Assets on: March 18, 2017, 05:04:57 AM
COINDASH
Operating System For Crypto Assets

Upcoming International Events

CoinDash participates at the blockchain summit event in London (28.3.17)
CoinDash is the top finalist for CoinTelegraph's BlockShow startup competition (6.4.16, Munich)

CoinDash is an operating system for crypto assets. Our goal is to make interacting, handling and trading crypto assets accessible, through a unified platform and UX, for mainstream users.

The Market
One of the biggest use cases for blockchain technology is the ability to create new crypto assets. Such assets are increasingly becoming an alternative investment channel to traditional markets because they enable new models of participation, are tradable 24/7, subject to much less regulation and are easy to create.
The past few years showed a dramatic increase in trading volume, market capitalization and the number of projects using crypto tokens.

Blockchain technology presents a real challenge and requires a steep learning curve from experienced blockchain users, let alone from newcomers. Interact, manage and invest crypto assets create barriers due to the lack in proper tools.

The CoinDash Ecosystem

Tools

Tools, like portfolio management, are an essential part to manage and interact with crypto assets. They give a deep insight into the performance and status of the user’s investments and help in data driven decision making.
Social Trading

Social interactions are a key part of the crypto world, projects can raise and fall by their community and the network they create. CoinDash’s social trading features remove barriers for new and existing crypto users by letting them follow and copy-trade top investors.
Marketplace

CoinDash’s marketplace is built around opportunity discovery and streamlined trading UX with features like: real-time social trading signals, ICO dashboard, trending assets, real-time market price tables and 3rd party integration.

CoinDash Token
Every feature in the CoinDash platform that gives any financial value to its user will require them to pay a fee. Every user who facilitates the use of a feature which in turn gives financial value will be entitled to a payment. This creates a creator-consumer relationship between users in the system; users can be creators and consumers at the same time.

CoinDash will launch a token which will be used to pay all fees on the platform. This creates a direct correlation between the success of the platform and the value of the token. The more people who use the platform, the more fees will be paid, the more tokens will be bought--ultimately pushing the price of the token up.

3  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Debugging and general workspace configuration on: June 17, 2014, 07:19:52 AM
Hi everyone,
I've been working on the code for some time now, also made some pull requests (some of them got merged).
I'm having some problems debugging the code. I'm working with eclipse on OSX Mavericks, building the project works great but when i go to debugging prospective i'm having some problems:
  • Many breakpoint cannot be installed
  • Some breakpoints that can be installed cause a source not found error
  • Cannot debug header files

A specific example is when i'm trying to debug step-by-step some of the unit tests, i can't seem to be able to step in functions.
I did: ./configure --with-miniupnpc --enable-upnp-default --with-qrencode --enable-debug so to  include debugging flags.

Anyone care to share how he setup his workspace or how to resolve those problems ?
4  Economy / Economics / My Thesis Work On Bitcoin [**NEW** Table of contents,Introduction,First chapter] on: February 14, 2014, 08:44:29 PM
Hi Everyone !
My Name is Alon, i started getting interested in BTC a few months ago. I was Asked by my Proff. to choose my thesis work subject and without blinking i said BITCOIN !

sounds easier than it is ....

I want to describe in my work the impacts bitcoin can have on the old economy. Obviously this is a huge subject, but i thought to approach it by first describing the impacts credit cards and services like Paypal had on consumption. The emphasis would be on reducing transaction friction.
For Example : credit cards are much easier to carry and use than cash and offer Tx details to the client BUT slow payment verification, high (relative) commissions, very high foreign currency commissions.
Paypal - very easy remote payment BUT still a lot of the credit cards cons
Bitcoin - single global currency, fast payment confirmation (relative to credit cards), very low commissions, no foreign currency conversion commissions, etc.

By describing the evolution of the way we pay (across the above methods) i can describe possible effects bitcoin can have on the economy by simply reducing transaction friction.

I will love to hear your opinion about the direction i am going. is it good for describing future effects of bitcoin ? is transaction friction reduction is bitcoins greatest quality ?
Obviously suggestion will be much appreciated !
Alon.
