1  Other / Meta / "Account issues" child board in Meta on: October 15, 2017, 04:41:46 PM
I think an "Account Issues" child board should be added under Meta. It's difficult to scroll through this section because of these topics about people's accounts getting hacked cluttering up the section.
2  Economy / Auctions / Advertise on Bitcoin.org - Round 1 on: March 01, 2016, 02:20:01 PM
About Bitcoin.org
Bitcoin.org is the first Bitcoin website created by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 to promote the Bitcoin software. Bitcoin.org is currently responsible for distributing the Bitcoin Core software and introducing new visitors to Bitcoin. The site is ranked #1 on Google for the search term "Bitcoin".

The Ads
The ads will be displayed at the top of the site, for a preview of how the ads will look, Bitcoin.org is currently serving an ad that links to this thread. Ads won't be displayed to visitors that are viewing the site on mobile. Ads are sold in a format very similar to how this forum sells ads. There are 3 ad slots
and each slot has an equal probability of being shown on each page load.

The ads will run for a 5 day period and will be shown to an estimated 100,000+ unique visitors. The majority of these visitors are very high quality and coming from search engines. When a user clicks on your ad, your website opens in a new tab.

Bidding
The starting price is 0.5 BTC per slot. Bidding for more than one slot can be done using the notation "2 @ 1 BTC" which means "2 slots at 1 BTC each".

The auction will end on Sunday the 6th of March at 18:00 UTC. I reserve the right to reject certain bids. Please be very careful and watch out for people pretending to be me.
3  Other / New forum software / Non-latin characters in username on: December 10, 2014, 07:13:32 PM
Please remember to make sure that non-latin characters in usernames are still preserved on the new forum. I really want to keep my 'ø'.

I like to put special characters in my usernames. Whenever a forum I'm on changes their software, it always breaks my username.
4  Economy / Marketplace / Bitcoin.org is looking for sponsorship! on: July 13, 2014, 12:59:06 AM
Description: Bitcoin.org is considering looking for a new sponsor. By sponsoring Bitcoin.org your website or business will be promoted at the footer of the website (where the Bitcoin Foundation logo is currently placed). The slot won't be shared with others and the minimum purchase time is 6 months. We aren't interested in working with certain types of services, these include porn sites, gambling sites, large mining pools, anything altcoin related, and suspicious services of low quality.

Traffic statistics: The site receives roughly between one million to two million unique visitors per month. On certain days when Bitcoin is featured heavily in the media, we can get a very large amount of visitors. For example the Newsweek situation had us pushing 200,000 unique visitors in the span of 24 hours. The traffic is largely made up of new users who are interested in Bitcoin and come to learn more about it and get involved. By purchasing the slot you are likely to be the first Bitcoin related "brand" or service they see. You are also likely to experience significant SEO improvements as you will have your site linked to by Bitcoin.org on every page of the site.

Where your money will be spent: The money you use to sponsor Bitcoin.org will go towards the following: design improvements, server fees, rewarding valued volunteers, translation improvements and stuff of that nature. You will be directly funding improvements on one of the most important resources to the Bitcoin community.

If interested, please email sponsorship@bitcoin.org. Alternatively you can private message me or contact Saivann (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=73755). We look forward to hearing from you!
