2  Other / Meta / Suggestion abt verifying and quoting stake address on: January 26, 2023, 03:21:50 AM
Based on trust settings the description of Neutral is Other comments. So I thought maybe it can also be used this way.

For any users that verify staked bitcoin addresses, it would be great if we can also leave neutral feedback right after verifying the address. So if a scenario occurs that needs signing a message there will be another alternative on how to find the updated staked address by going to the user's feedback.

Reference link will be the quoted message that it was verified.
Comment will be the verified staked address

if the user stake a new btc address and a new user verified it, just add 'updated' on the comment.

I've been an avid fan of crypto, bitcoin specifically since 2014(the year I know it), and ever since I've been reading things about it. But this past year when the pandemic hit, things changed in my life and lots of struggles came the reason I became inactive. Problems still exist but compare to what I have been facing this past year I can say It's better now.
I wanted to be more active again and to also serve this post that I'm still the user in 2019 and have never been hacked.

8  Other / Politics & Society / Should cats be culled to stop extinctions? on: March 29, 2019, 06:56:31 AM
Recently there's news that concerns some of the people around the internet so I though if it is worthy to open up a discussion and share anyones opinion about it.
According to the news
Quote
"Scientists are calling for a widespread cull of feral cats and dogs, pigs, goats, and rats and mice to save the endangered species they prey upon.

Their eradication on more than 100 islands could save some of the rarest animals on Earth, says an international team.

Islands have seen 75% of known bird, mammal, amphibian and reptile extinctions over the past 500 years.

Many of the losses are caused by animals introduced by humans.

Not naturally present on islands, they can threaten native wildlife."
https://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-47721807
https://www.smh.com.au/national/war-on-feral-cats-australia-aims-to-cull-2-million-20170214-gucp4o.html

From what I believe culling the animals will drastically drop the chance of said species to go extinct but it raises a question if it is a moral thing to do.
Neutering the animals is also a good thing because it lowers the birthrate but they are still capable of hunting endangered species around the island.

10  Economy / Scam Accusations / UPStake is Scam and offers Ponzi membership(UPStake Edge) on: March 23, 2019, 09:27:35 PM
I came across this token while watching one of the local youtube creators on our country. The video they made is sponsored by UPStake Token, after checking and reviewing the site I find some red flags about it.
Site: https://upstake.com/
Ann thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4433672.0
Bounty: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4441123.0

I Immediately check their site and find these features of the Token:
What is UPstake?
"UpStake tokens (UPS) are designed to increase in value over time."; from that I am already in doubt about the coin because they fail to acknowledge the law of supply and demand.
Key features:
Limited Circulation
Value increases hourly
Proof of Burn
Anti exchange manipulation

Hoping to get more info, I search on Coinmarketcap and WorldCoinIndex to know it's trading volume but the coin is not listed.
https://www.worldcoinindex.com/coin/upstake
https://coinmarketcap.com/search/?q=UPStake

Checking User interface menu: I'll just talk about Exchange and Edge sections because that is the main concern of this thread.
Exchange - Site exchange; which is the only exchange you can trade the UPStake token.
*Here's interesting, as a result of disregarding supply and demand, you can see that there is currently 0 buy and 21 sell order. If this continue you'll find your UPStake funds stuck on the platform without a chance of converting it to Bitcoin thus making you losing money.
NOTE that the trading resets every hour so you either need to waste your time every hour just to put your Sell order at the top or accept the fact that your money is gone.

*Calendar view of UPStake value

Edge - UpStake Edge is another feature of UPStake which is a crypto investment that allows you to make passive profits through micro networking.

https://youtu.be/kgnbwt2FOyg?t=10 - After watching the video; I know that's Ponzi.
The one at the top will benefit the most and latecomers will be the one at high risk.
*UPStake Edge membership

It is like one of those 10%,20%,30% growth whenever you make referrals on your downline. 'Active Silver Edges' is the number of team you have below you.

Some of our local youtube creators with a huge number of audiences is being sponsored by this token. There is a chance that someone may fall into it because creators are influential enough with their fanbase.
Youtube creators sponsored video by UPstake.
Ja Mill 3.8m Subscribers - https://youtu.be/GbT9xO_tF0w?t=308
Tukomi 1.6m Subsctibers - https://youtu.be/9w81vgeXh_g?t=855
Viy Cortez 593k Subscribers - https://youtu.be/eQi_xzHmsJ4?t=667 (Part 1) | https://youtu.be/b7xuy-t78sw?t=139 (Part 2)

UPStake thread:

*I can share the account I used on UPStake if you want to see it's interface inside or is it okay to make the account public?
11  Other / Meta / Add feature request on: March 17, 2019, 09:28:20 AM
I want to suggest if we can have an option 'Add user' where the added person can edit the content of a thread. Make a limit of 2-3 persons maybe?
-solves the problem where useful threads gets buried and duplicated.
-helps to sort similar guidelines without making a duplicated thread just to update the old one.
I also like to suggests a mandatory monthly bump for useful threads to make it visible for newcomers and give it a better publicity to inform beginners around the forum.Once implemented, make one thread consists of all the guidelines which can be updated to it's latest information. Pin the thread.

Staff should also have the power to add users if the person who created the thread is no longer around the forum so they can just add the name of the person who request to update the old thread.

One problem that may exist whenever this is implemented is the distribution of merit. It gets a bit complicated when the thread is merited but I think my suggestion is more beneficial than the problem that may occur. I would like to know your suggestions on how are we going to distribute the merits.

Also a 'View Edit History' on top-right of the OP(beside Merit), to solve threads that may possibly go exit-scam and removes any possible evidence/proofs about their crime.
12  Other / Meta / How to remove negged of DTs that left the forum? on: March 04, 2019, 05:26:53 PM
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2112587.0

What is your judgement about this?
Account recovered after a year but user KWH who tagged the account to warn others leave the forum permanently, now the account has been painted red with no possible way of removing the tagged KWH left.

My idea though It might be very time consuming.
Exclude KWH from DT, re-tagged those accounts(possibly became neutral) that KWH left feedback for breaking the rules.
13  Other / Meta / Patrol custom URL guideline + list of active Forum boards on: March 02, 2019, 09:52:34 AM
What is Patrol?
Patrol function shows you the latest 200 posts of Newbie posts around Bitcoin Forum boards. Patrol is hidden by default but you can enable it on Profile > Forum Profile Information > check Show Patrol link
What is interesting is that according to o_e_l_e_o's post there is a hidden URL where you can check each board specifically so I collected those board numbers and gathered it here.

To do a custom Patrol, use this URLs
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=n;patrol (this only show newbie posts)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=n (this show all users posts)
n is the number of that board.

You can also chain the numbers to get a result of the boards you selected
i.e. (I think there is no maximum limit about how many board numbers you can chain together)
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,4,5,6,7,8;patrol
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=recent;boards=1,4,5,6,7,8

Board numbers (there is currently 240 active Forum boards) I think the 1st number means it is the first board being created, 2nd number second created and so on.

Board number 2 3 shows the 'No valid boards' message
Board number 15 38 43 58 68  96 106 154 213 214 215 216 218 225 226 233 244 245 249 shows 'missing or off-limits' message.
261 is the last accessible board I got, I scaped until number 280 however did not find anything(it shows 'missing' message) so I assume that Hard wallets under Dev & Technical Discussion is the latest board created.

Huge thanks to o_e_l_e_o's post.

16  Other / Meta / Updated List of Bitcointalk Hidden Pages/Post on: February 20, 2019, 03:58:38 PM
Updated last March 4, 2019
I noticed that old-account users use Bitcointalk links that is not familiar to me, I cannot find most of them on my Profile settings/menu so I decided to do a little search on the list of all hidden pages around Bitcointalk forum and here is what I gathered. I did not add links that no longer working or currently disabled.

Hidden Pages
Forum ad information - This page also provides a link for Current auction, Ad stats and list of Active signature managers.
Seclog - List of users activity (Only Jr. Member above but there is an option to show Newbies activity too)
Modlog - Moderators activity for a deleted reply, topic, and user.
Information about Bitcoin
Captcha Bypass code - Allows you to skip human captcha verification upon logging in.
Patrol custom URLs
List of DT1's personal trust list.
List of DT1's inclusion/exclusions from other DT1 - Results also show here

Legendary Files
Bitcointalk old site files (bitcoin.sourceforge.net)
Bitcointalk first topics 1, 2, 4

Not hidden but I believe not usually visited on Profile settings
Bitcointalk statistics - Bitcointalk statistics for members, posts, topics, categories, users online, online today, page views. (I think this is not updated as stated here but I still added it to inform people that this feature exist.)
Merit Stats - List that's all about merit (visit 'Profile' > 'Merit' > sub-category 'Merit' > scroll below and look for 'Merit Stats')
Buy Copper membership - visit 'More' in your Profile settings
List of Bitcointalk donators
Shows a list of DTs inclusions/exclusions - If your trust depth is set to 1, you will only see DT1 inclusion/exclusion to each other. If set to 2, you will see DT1 and DT2. And so on.

Extras
Only Staff post that can be viewed publicly - Child boards (Special, Staff Forum)
Hidden BBcode and smileys

Feel free to add it.

17  Economy / Reputation / Do advisors held accountable when the project turned out to be scam? on: February 11, 2019, 07:17:25 PM
I've noticed everytime there is a new ICO, there are sometimes more than 2 advisors on it as part of the team which is to educate/advise the creator of project.

Take John McAfee for example, he can be hired as an advisor.

There are questions that raised on my mind
1. Will they be held accountable if the said project turned out to be scam?
2. Do they know the people that they advise?
3. Do they know what is happening on it's development phase/headquarter?
4. Like campaign managers accountability, if they feel that the project will likely turn out to be scam and still agreed with the deal, will they be punish about it as being part of a scam project?

Is there a chance John McAffee(gave him as an example because he's the famous advisor I know but not a good one) can be held accountable with these things?

Please move this topic on Reputation from lower left.
Moved.

Is this the right section to ask this things?
18  Other / Meta / [SOLUTION]How to fix table code issue BBcode on: February 04, 2019, 01:39:16 PM
Some of you who is designing threads and adding URL-links on images that is in a row line might notice that when you use the table code, it restricts the width size to 26px (supported on this thread)

I also encountered this when I started designing my service thread, trying to figure out the problem I tried searching on Google but no result on this topic has been made. I decided to check each ANN thread designers if they add URL links for the threads they design, I saw one person which is FilipeHenriques who seems to got it fix. I studied the BBcode he had and tweak it a little bit to fix the issue of my thread and it worked.

FIX #1
This is the code
Code:
[table][tr]
[td][center][size=15pt][b][color=transparent]________________[/b][/size][/center][/td]
[td][center][size=15pt][b][color=transparent]________________[/b][/size][/center][/td]
[td][center][size=15pt][b][color=transparent]________________[/b][/size][/center][/td]
[td][center][size=15pt][b][color=transparent]________________[/b][/size][/center][/td]
[td][center][size=15pt][b][color=transparent]________________[/b][/size][/center][/td][/tr]
[tr][td][url=https://i.imgur.com/5h08isO.jpg][img]https://i.imgur.com/TDMwNUf.png[/img][/url][/td]
[td][url=https://i.imgur.com/qxWIsV8.jpg][img]https://i.imgur.com/n8IkEgb.png[/img][/url][/td]
[td][url=https://i.imgur.com/ugN1s4m.jpg][img]https://i.imgur.com/Jgmmdf9.png[/img][/url][/td]
[td][url=https://i.imgur.com/bWvmZW4.jpg][img]https://i.imgur.com/NmNUmVS.png[/img][/url][/td]
[td][url=https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action-pm;sa=send;u=2528593][img]https://i.imgur.com/tk1ZkpQ.png[/img][/url][/td]
[/tr][/table]

This is how the code works
If you have 5 images in a row, you need to add a 5 transparent '_______________' on the first row before adding the actual images which you do on the second row. How many '_' you are going to add is a pure estimation so if you have smaller image width expect the '_' to be lesser. I will suggest using font size of around 12-15pt as it gives a better spacing and width size in mobile view. Once you figured out how it works, the outcome will be the image below

This will be the outcome of the code once you got it right

FIX#2
Another way is o_e_l_e_o suggestions, which he said to leave the first column empty. This works too however when you insert a title image at the top and make it centered, it will not align on the row you made. See how it looks like on this post

Why do I need to use a table code when I can just do it with spacing?
Sure you can but an image that uses a table code is responsive to any screen sizes and mobile view while spacing gives you a good outcome when it comes to your own monitor it does not guarantee to give the same layout on different screensizes of a viewer.

I made a comparison on this thread to see the difference of Table code and just using spacing. There will be in-between spaces because of the transparent '_' code that I added as a first row.
VIEW ON MY MOBILE

You can try and check it too.

Let me know if there are additional details that needs to be added.

20  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Nagbibigay ako ng Merit sa worth it na paksa(NEWBIE & JR. MEMBER LANG) on: February 02, 2019, 06:42:10 PM
