1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Incredibly fast & easy to mine: Wampumcoin (WAM) on: March 30, 2014, 03:33:51 PM
Just a quick note for all who want to mine an Altcoin EASILY and EVEN WITH VERY LOW HASHING POWER or a CPU miner or similar: go and have a look at Wampumcoin.

Wampumcoin is an up and coming coin started by a very small but dedicated team just a few days ago. Difficulty is still extremely low, hence the coin is easy and fast to mine even with a tiny machine and/or CPU-mining.

Available pools to get started are here:

or http://wampum.hashrapid.com

Wampumcoin has very fast confirmations making it ideally suited for online and offline commerce, and these are the very areas the devs have in mind in order to build a real economy behind WAM (this is something most Altcoins out there -- and even Bitcoin itself to some degree -- are lacking to this day)! The strategy for WAM is to launch the coin with souvenir merchants, shops in First Nations reservations (as you also can tell from the coin's name) and selected internet sellers. The coin's existing 2% pre-mine is earmarked for making all this happen and for covering the layouts for this; it is thus sufficiently explained and acceptable. The coin will also be listed on a handful exchanges soon, updates on the Wampumcoin website and via Twitter and Facebook presences. Due to the small size of the Wampumcoin team, all these steps are going rather slowly but, so far, on schedule. The development of WAM, therefore, should be slow but steady and continuous because the have got the right concept and reasonable goals in mind and are working towards achieving them.

Further details about Wampumcoin are listed on https://cryptocointalk.com/topic/8741-wampumcoin-wam-information/ as well as the official WAM website (http://www.wampumcoin.com/) along with links for wallet downloads and the usual supporting info.

Happy hashing!!
