21  Economy / Services / Paying for Trusted Feedback on: May 05, 2014, 01:37:25 PM
Hey guys, it's Polycoin here.

Some people have left some very wrong feedback about me, it was never my attention to scam, but I sometimes dreamtype, where I wake up, and then go on the computer and do nonsense, in this case, I dreamtyped up multiple scams etc, though when I awoke I was very sorry.

Anyway...I'm looking to buy trusted feedback, I will pay 5 BTC for 1 trusted feedback per person. That is very generous.
So, give me trusted feedback, I give you mulah. K.

23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Why is NXT dead? on: April 28, 2014, 08:24:55 PM
I was wondering why NXT, the coin, has died, and here it the answer.

NXT itself was part of a larger, gialanthic protocol related to, but not defined or confined to Bitcoin's source code and relatively poranic nautre. It's conspicious algorithim and inguineaty has thrived it beyond normal secular means. NXT has gained alpothic miraculous speed concerning the time of it's departing to this forum, in that case, the fagorthic raid has concluded it to be tayonic in nature, and thus it's unfair distribution has resulted in a emperial collpapse of excitement and congineious surprise at this coin. It is no other, than a gollarthic spasm. It has failed epidemicaly and will continue to do so.
24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Unknown Coin on: April 19, 2014, 12:35:35 AM
CoinName: Unknown
Developer: Unknown
Release: Unkown

Features

Progressive ASIC resistance that guarantees withstanding to newer generations of ASICs designed for scrypt algorithm
Embedded multi-pool resistance due to different algorithm
Kimoto Gravity Well difficulty retarget algorithm
DNS node seeder client functionality integrated into wallet to ensure stable connection - no need to enter nodes manually
45 seconds average block time guarantees fast confirmation of transactions and make Execoin the fastest ASIC-resistant coin
No premine at all

Technical Details

Algorithm: Scrypt-Progressive-N with optimized schedule (scientific name: scrypt Salsa20/8(N, 1, 1), PBKDF2(SHA2))
Symbol: EXE
Max Coins: 84 million
Block time: 45 seconds
Subsidy: halves every 840,000 blocks (~437 days)
Difficulty Re-Target Time: Every block (Kimoto Gravity Well)
Block Rewards: 50 coins per block
Premine: Absolutely no premine!

N and its corresponding N-Factor are parameters of scrypt algorithm that determine the amount of memory required for hashing functions. Original scrypt algorithm (scrypt Salsa20/8(1024, 1, 1), PBKDF2(SHA2)) uses constant N (1024) and it can withstand older ASIC miners, but with a development of new custom ASICs for original scrypt algorithm, N-factor should be increased with time to resist more powerful and specialized computing hardware. Execoin's Scrypt-Progressive-N algorithm provides this N-factor progressive increase to ensure that any possible future ASICs development will not impact security and stability of the network and Execoin will stay rare, difficult to mine currency with a stable market value in the longer run.

I've been checking the off topic section and you know what caught my eye. Vod and Dank.

They're like mortal enemies, ying and yang, good and scammer.

Vod and Dank remind me of Goku and Vegeta. Dank is Vegeta and Vod is Goku.

Vegeta did some bad things in the past and Goku is trying to get him to pay it back, but Vegeta keeps denying and doing his own thing. But Goku is relentless, and will not stop until Vegeta pays up what he owes.

26  Other / Off-topic / So I visited my Oracle today... on: April 16, 2014, 01:50:49 AM
Long story short: I always visit my Oracle named Aliya Babba. She's top notch, every one of her predictions came true, like she once predicted that I would drink two glasses of water right after eating my dinner..came true. Anyway, I go visit Aliya Babba, and I ask her about Bitcoin. She's confused as first, but then her mentoring spirit takes over and she tells me that Bitcoin will rise to $4,000 for one by the end of the year. I at first found it hard to believe, but then I thought about when Bitcoin doubled in price in just 2 weeks to $1200 in November 2013. After a few minutes of thinking, I thank Aliya Babba by having a few rounds of Drill Sergeant, needless to say, she and I were very pleased.

So here's the question, what can YOU do to make Bitcoin reach $4,000 for one by the years end?

1) Magic
2) Alchohol
3) Good Advertising
4) Goku
5) Burning all fiat currency on Earth

YOU DECIDE!

Scroll down(this is his original post) and you'll see that they plan to take 20% of the total coins for themselves(the develoeprs).
20% of 1billion is 200million
The devs will have 200million coins, obviously so they can pump and dump to gain a huge profit.
DO NOT BUY SIMCOIN, UNLESS YOU LIKE GETTING SCAMMED.[/color]

**The devs have also deleted any posts revealing their scam since their thread is self moderated!, 3 of mine were deleted as were others who pointed his Scam out!**

**Dev also refuses to use an escrow for his IPO! He says it's too "bothersome" and that you just have to "trust" him, yea trust him as he runs away with your money just like that guy in stackcoin did!!AGAIN DO NOT SEND ANYTHING TO SIMCOIN DEV, NXTCHG.COM!!!!!**

Looking at the second generation cryptocurrencies, they seem to be locked in a race to develop more and more advanced and complicated features, like distributed exchange, Turing-complete scripts, etc., while we haven't mastered our core feature yet: transactions.

That's why I want to build upon ideas from Bitcoin, Ripple and NXT and create a simple coin with the goal of not adding more and more confusing features, but rather focusing on three S'es:

It will not be a clone of anything, but written completely from scratch.

("simcoin" is a temporary name and can be re-branded later).

----

As some of you know, I was the most vocal in NXT community about lack of checksums and helped develop Reed-Solomon protected addresses, which are yet to be implemented in NXT. Well, in Simcoin they will be there from the start and will be shorter - 12 characters instead of 17 (while providing the same level of protection):

JOHN-DEAN-3J4S
or
FLOWERS-563KT

Because addresses are so short, there will be a built-in vanity generator in the client from the start.

There will be paranoid checksums on all levels of the system. There will be built-in strong passphrase generator and key-strengthening algorithm, as well as the ability to save passphrase as an encrypted wallet.

There will be no "darkNXT", i.e. no ability to send money to an arbitrary address and lose it. There will be no genesis account where you can send money to destroy it. There will be no reduced security for new addresses as in NXT.

There will be some form of account control to prevent big losses in case the passphrase is compromised and also to simulate multisig transactions. There will be assistance for cold wallets in the client from the start too.

For crypto, Ed25519 will be used, which is more logical choice compared to Curve25519 in NXT. Protection from 51% attack is done via PoS.

The server will be written in C++ with minimal dependencies and UDP as main network protocol. Database format will be as compact as possible to help with "blockchain bloat". From the start the transaction history can be arbitrary truncated or even turned off completely!

All clients will be "thin" clients, they won’t have to download the whole database and only cache what's relevant to you.

In NXT and Bitcoin the best way to handle customer deposits is to generate unique addresses for them. This increases the size of the database. In Simcoin transactions will be done similar to Ripple - with a short text field where you can put some special code to link this deposit to your account. Or you can register with your address as a username, which is possible because they are so short and mnemonic.

There will be ability to send messages, similar to NXT Arbitrary Messages, but it will be done right: there will be a type tag and all messages will be automatically and transparently encrypted. In fact, ALL traffic will be automatically encrypted to help with privacy, security and to make it harder for governments to filter our packets.

----

Since I've already developed an exchange (former NxtChg.com), I got this covered from the start. And there will be no trading fees.

There will be no mining, but instead all server owners will receive constant rewards for running their nodes.

I also will not repeat the same mistake BCNext did: he abandoned his creation to an idealistic vision of completely distributed and "headless" development. It was sad to see great ideas of NXT disintegrate like this. Instead, the source code will remain closed until my vision is implemented exactly as I planned it to be. I might be wrong in some decisions, but at least I will be coherent.

Transaction Speed

Transaction speed will be a priority. The goal is ambitious: to achieve <1 sec confirmation. Complete confirmation, no backsies. Either your transaction is confirmed and engraved in stone in less than 1 second, or it will be rejected and you will have to try it later.

I believe it is possible. Here's a network simulation video:

You can download the simulator and play with various settings in the ini-file if you are Ok with an exe file.

IPO

There will be total 1 billion simcoins.

We split it like this:
  • 40% main auction IPO
  • 20% distributed, probably via worldcommunitygrid as well as bounties and giveaways. Probably put under community's control via committees, similar to NXT.
  • 20% distributed as rewards for server runners over the years to support the network
  • 20% left as developers reserve

To participate, go here:

https://simcoin.info/ipo/

create an account and deposit your bitcoins. You will get your share, proportional to your stake relative to all other deposits. I.e., if only 2 people deposit, each 0.1 BTC, they will get 200 million each. If they deposit 0.2+0.1, they will get 267 and 133 million respectively.

All deposits are non-refundable because they will be used to cover development costs, so think carefully.

The end date for the IPO will not be announced to prevent last minute deposits. It will just end one day without any warning.

Progress

  • crypto code (90%)
  • network code (50%)
  • native Windows client (0%)
  • exchange (90%)
  • initial servers setup (0%)
  • web client with JS signing (0%)
  • forum + wiki (0%)

So, if you want to help create such a coin - join me. You will have to suffer my dictatorship for the course of initial development Smiley but once it's open source I will relinquish control to the community.

Do you have any suggestions or ideas? I'd love to hear them.

29  Other / Off-topic / Bitcoin transcended me to superhuman status on: April 04, 2014, 08:33:17 PM
It all started 2 hours ago, I was walking home when I saw a man lying on the road. The man turned around, looked at me and said, "Allllam! Shakahm!!!" Immediately a extremely potent feeling came over me. I felt like something beyond human, something supehuman. I looked for the man, but he was gone..Then..I took out one of the mirrors from my pocket, which I always keep to stare at my reflection because I' so sexy, and as soon as I looked in the mirror, I saw my hair has turned yellow. I gasped and dropped the mirror, bringing upon me the curse of 7 years of being with one woman, the absolute worst thing that could happened to me. So I cried for 10 minutes..got up and felt so angry that for the next 7 years I'd only have to be with one woman, that I stretched my arms out and did a Kamehamehah. My Kamehameheh was blue and huge, it blew apart a few street signs before colliding into a comet that was falling towards Earth. I then did Instant Transmission, and found myself home here. I opened my computer, exited the Pornhub tabs, and logged in to Bitcointalk to write my experience. I believe interacting with Bitcoin has transcended me to a level beyond, a level where there is no comprehension, because as I type, I feel the power of a 1000 raging suns boiling through my pumped up veins, my muscle size has increased dramatically, to the point that even typing is hard, but I manage because of my increased speed. I will be on here if any of you scientists want to interview me to understand my increased godlike power.

Update- My hair is still yellow, and my eyes just turned green. I'm also have 5 second visions of a white and purple lizard humanoid traveling to Earth in his spaceship. I don't know if he's a friend or foe, but I will watch, I will listen, and I will be prepared.

Kimoto Gravity Well is now becoming popular with many altcoins. This offers rapid response and recovery from multipools who can leave coins with very high difficulties and long block times. This proves to be very good at dealing with the effects of multipools on small coins, which explains its sudden rise in popularity.

Automatic Checkpointing stops blocks being orphaned and transactions being reversed. 51% attacks result in the loss of time, money and confidence. This protection broadcasts checkpoints rather than a core developer hard coding them into the source. As a result this is also finding its way into more coins who cannot safeguard their blockchain without it.

Time Travel limitation reduces the ability for attackers to try and force on very old blocks or very new block to try and change difficulty adjust behaviour. The ability to warp the blockchain time and also been limited. Blocks submitted more than 15 minutes outside of the blockchain's time will be rejected and other nodes cannot affect blockchain time by more than 14 minutes.

(Maximum of 100,000 SwagGucciCoins per individual)

Github: https://github.com/SwagGucciCoin

SwagGucciCoin is a second generation crypto coin.

SwagGucciCoin is being developed in collaboration between , Myth and Syndicate under Darknet Plan and OP Ecko.

SwagGucciCoin is designed to be a simpler, easier to use, more secure Bitcoin. SwagGucciCoin emphasizes simplicity, security and usability over doing everything.

SwagGucciCoin is designed to survive the looming internal and external threats Bitcoin is facing. SwagGucciCoin is setting a new standard for security and crytocoin protocol design.

---

Besides building a better, more robust, most secure, more usable Bitcoin, the SwagGucciCoin project is working towards several long term goals we believe are necessary.

- The long term goal of the SwagGucciCoin Project is to bridge the "last mile" between homes and fiber with a distributed wireless mesh and community ISPs.
- SwagGucciCoin is working on several applications using SwagGucciCoin as a credit unit.
- Storage, networking (cjdns inspired), messaging and routing protocols.
- SOPA, PIPA, ACTA and the Comcast/Time Warner merger have made it clear that political solutions are no longer viable.

Technical Specs:
- open access
- multi-home routing / link-aggregation
- end-to-end encryption
- link level encryption
- new post PKI cryptographic primitives
- Designed to run on Raspberry pi and Ubiquity Hardware
- "zeroconf", no configuration network deployment
- financial incentive for relaying traffic and node deployment
- routing protocol agnostic, allows choice of routing proticols (OSPF, DHT, ant-routing)

---

SwagGucciCoin uses a protocol called Obelisk instead of PoW. Obelisk is a provably secure PoW alternative for creating fair total orderings in decentralized systems with adversarial nodes.  Obelisk was chosen over other proposals because it is provably secure and can be layered over Bitcoin's existing security model to eliminate the possibility of 51% attacks.

SwagGucciCoin transactions are free. Users receive coin-hours for each hour they hold a coin. Coin-hours are spent on transaction fees. Transactions bid to enter a fixed sized block.

SwagGucciCoin transactions are fast. Most transactions are executed within fifteen seconds. Off blockchain transactions are instant.

All SwagGucciCoin components are in Golang and C. There are different teams working on SwagGucciCoin and multiple independent software components required to achieve the long term vision of the project. This is an open source project. There is a huge list of bug fixes and things that need to be implemented.

Allocation of coins are reserved for developers and contributors.

---

Design:

SwagGucciCoin tries to offer more security, greater privacy and better usability than Bitcoin.

SwagGucciCoin Philosophy:
- too complex systems cannot be secure
- We strive for simplicity over complexity
- decentralized but pragmatic
- Huge emphasis on usability

----

Partial feature list:

Security:
- higher level of security for non-technical users with improved ease of use
- deterministic ESDSA, enforced signature mutability
- hardening against SHA256 pre-image attacks, hardening against side channel attacks
- hardening against "offline" attacks on secp256k1
- optional quantum computer resistant TwoStep protocol transactions
- standardized remote signature HMAC API for hardware wallet devices

Privacy:
- SwagGucciCoin transactions have higher privacy than Bitcoin transactions ("wallet mixing", "money pot")
- SwagGucciCoin protects its users from identification for increased safety in hostile countries (ex. HTTPS/TLS tunneling)
- stenographic wallets
- We're also hoping to release a proxy protocol similar to Tor within Polyocoin, aka if you wish to be absolutely anonymous, the proxy will be available to you.

Usability:
- Wallet supports Bitcoin and SwagGucciCoin
- 15 second transactions (point-of-sale)
- simple 256-bit deterministic wallets
- clients only need unspent output set instead of whole block chain ("Snapshot")
- coins divisible to 8 places

Distributed Exchange:
- Off blockchain Transactions (through standardized API, "gateway")
- powerful scripting language for contracts (non-turing complete statically typed LISP variant)
- Open Transactions type crypto-equities, bonds, options and other securities
- OTC gateway API (based upon FIX, SWIFT, FIXatdl)

The blockchain is for settlement between counterparties. Price data and bid/ask orderbook data is not in the blockchain, but supported through the gateway API. Fractional SwagGucciCoin transactions and micropayment are handled as off block chain transactions.

---

Coin Distribution:

- There will be an average of 500,000 coins released annually, more or less depending on the demand for them, similar to how the United States Treasury and Federal Reserve works like.
- There is no mining.
- All coins are created in genesis block.
- The coins will be distributed in a fair, open process, through automatic release of coins relative to the demand for them, we are also open to your suggestions.
- There will be a coin giveaway for alpha testing when the Open-Beta comes out, most likely in April, and absolutely before May.
- No matter what distribution strategy is chosen, we expect that some people will whine.

---

Software Release Schedule:

The first SwagGucciCoin client will be released in April. White papers will be released as they are finished.

No Mining:

August 7, 2010 (BitcoinTalk Forums): “The utility of the exchanges made possible by Bitcoin will far exceed the cost of electricity used. Therefore, not having Bitcoin would be the net waste.”, as said by Satoshi is being, if not already proved false, as many alt coins improve upon the amount of electricity needed to mine.
Miners are the greatest non-crpytographic threat to Bitcoin retaining value on geographic time scales. Mining introduce human factors and greed into the survivability of Bitcoin as a currency

- Dishonest miners may destroy Bitcoin
- We are close to a 51% attack
- gigahash.io has abused its hashing power to steal Bitcoin from gambling sites
- services such as cex.io allow people to rent a 51% attack by the minute
- mining pools will form cartels to orphan blocks mined by non-cartel members, to enhance their block rewards
- mining cartels will rent capacity to orphan blocks from other pools, if the reward is greater than the cost
- pools have begun capping block size to drive up transaction fees. Bitcoin transaction processing rate may be unable to keep up with growth in transactions from new users. Bitcoin is becoming unusable for micro-transactions.
- Every month more mining power is concentrated in the hands of a smaller number of people
- Mining ensures majority of new crypto-coins go to people with botnets, GPU farms and ASICs not available to the public.
- No one benefits from mining except miners and electricity companies
- electricity used by mining is wasted. Money spent on mining is being thrown into a hole, burnt and the costs are passed on to every Bitcoin holder
- Mining will substantially increase transaction fees to unsustainable levels when block rewards decrease. Bitcoin transaction fees may reach a level higher than the banking system Bitcoin was created to replace.
- Miners selling newly created Bitcoins to pay equipment and electricity costs, drives down the price of Bitcoin.
- If Bitcoin reaches viability as the next global reserve currency, the incentives for nation states to monopolize and control mining will be too great to contain.

SwagGucciCoin was designed to eliminate mining completely and eliminate the problems it creates. SwagGucciCoin replaces reliance on honest miners with reliance on mathematics.

- SwagGucciCoin is more secure because it does not rely upon the good will of miners
- SwagGucciCoin transactions will be cheaper because there are no mining costs being passed on to users
- SwagGucciCoin transactions are not subject to 51% attacks by mining cartels
- SwagGucciCoin is environmentally friendly and sustainable. SwagGucciCoin does not require twelve coal power plants to power mining

Eliminating mining creates new problems for coin distribution.
- We will not do a Nxt or Mastercoin style IPO because we believe they are unfair and discourages new users.
- We will not create 100,000,000,000,000 coins and give 10k coins to each user and hoard the other 99,999,996,000,000 coins like Ripple did.
- There will be no Ripple style secret back door deals at below market price.
- People who contribute to the success of SwagGucciCoin will receive whole bags of coins

Distribution will be as fair as possible.

These are some things we are working on.

TwoStep: Quantum Computer Secure Transactions

This is a draft protocol for securing crypto-coin transactions against future advances in mathematics or computing which render discrete logarithm based public key cryptography insecure.

TwoStep is part of QuantumEclipse, a suite of next-gen cryptocoin protocols developed under OP Darknet Plan for the SwagGucciCoin Project.

This protocol is:
- secure if addresses are not reused
- lower overhead than Lamport Signatures
- works with SHA256 preimages equally as well as Secp256k1 signatures
- is not dependent on the security of discrete logarithm based public key cryptography

Proticol:
1> A user creates a transaction and publishes the SHA256 hash of the transaction onto the block chain (effectively a timestamp)
2> The user waits several blocks and publishes the transaction. Miners enter the transaction onto the block chain.

A transaction with a prepublished hash is "timestamped" by the publication of the hash. A transactions without a prepublished hash is a "non-timestamped" transaction.

Transaction Precedence Rules:
- if an unconfirmed non-timestamped transaction spends outputs used by a non-confirmed timestamped transaction, the non-timestamped transaction is invalid (time-stamped transactions have priority over non-timestamped transactions).
- if two unconfirmed timestamped transactions spend non-disjoint sets of unspent outputs, the transaction with the earliest timestamp is the valid one.

Address pub keys are not being published until they are first used in a transaction. The TwoStep protocol delays the publication of the public key for an address until transaction publication and then renders any transactions an attacker creates from the recovered private key invalid using the precedence rules.

Strict transaction precedence rule enforcement is not possible in Bitcoin, but is possible in SwagGucciCoin using new blockchain primitives introduced by Obelisk.

CoinJoin RFC:

- SwagGucciCoin naively supports a simplified CoinJoin protocol
- CoinJoin mixes transactions from multiple wallets to increase transaction privacy
- CoinJoin is optional.
- SwagGucciCoin is designed so that it is impossible to determine which transactions are CoinJoin transactions

SwagGucciCoin Coin Join Protocol:
- three people send their inputs and outputs to a remote server
- server creates a transaction containing the inputs/outputs from all three people
- the server sends each person the transaction.
- Each person verifies the transactions and sends the signatures for their inputs
- The server publishes the transactions.

This protocol is much simpler than zero coin or NXTcoin while dramatically improving transaction privacy

Design:

SwagGucciCoin tries to offer more security, greater privacy and better usability than Bitcoin.

SwagGucciCoin Philosophy:
- too complex systems cannot be secure
- We strive for simplicity over complexity
- decentralized but pragmatic
- Huge emphasis on usability

----

Partial feature list:

Security:
- higher level of security for non-technical users with improved ease of use
- deterministic ESDSA, enforced signature mutability
- hardening against SHA256 pre-image attacks, hardening against side channel attacks
- hardening against "offline" attacks on secp256k1
- optional quantum computer resistant TwoStep protocol transactions
- standardized remote signature HMAC API for hardware wallet devices

Privacy:
- SwagGucciCoin transactions have higher privacy than Bitcoin transactions ("wallet mixing", "money pot")
- SwagGucciCoin protects its users from identification for increased safety in hostile countries (ex. HTTPS/TLS tunneling)
- stenographic wallets
- We're also hoping to release a proxy protocol similar to Tor within Polyocoin, aka if you wish to be absolutely anonymous, the proxy will be available to you.

38  Bitcoin / Legal / IRS LAW: Let's Move onto Another Cryptocurrency on: March 26, 2014, 08:28:46 PM
Since the IRS's stupid law on Bitcoin being taxed now, and having to keep records of every freaking bitcoin purchase etc, I decided it'd be much better if we move onto a 100% anonymous currency, without a public ledger..It's so freaking stupid that bitcoin gets taxed, so why not move onto a totally anonymous cryptocurrency, like Darkcoin or something? It makes no sense for people in the U.S.A to use Bitcoin now...

Such Bullshit, this ruling really pisses me off. But alas, I'm moving onto a different cryptocurrency, that's totally anonymous..

Here I come Darkcoin!
39  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Selling my account on: March 26, 2014, 02:50:59 PM
I'm selling my accounts for 0.1 Bitcoin.
My account has very good feedback and is a very trusted member of the Bitcoin Community.
My account has been around for a very long time and is therefoer a rarity.
Buy my account for 0.1 BTC now, it'll be the best purchase you ever make.
40  Other / Off-topic / The Illuminati Made Bitcoin on: March 26, 2014, 12:25:42 PM
Guys, bitcoin is a one world currency, think about it. Bitcoin seeks to unite the world, so does the illuminati, what if Satoshi nakamoto was part of the illuminati?

Maybe he still is, and is working on new projects to create an unify everyone into a one world order...
