1  Economy / Gambling discussion / Detailed SOP for Manual Provably Fair Checking on: July 21, 2017, 06:44:26 AM
I want to check manually my bets that I've placed.

How exactly do I do this in Excel?

I've generated some bets but they aren't matching... I'm pretty sure I'm not completing the process correctly.

Does anyone have a thread or video on how exactly to do it with a step by step process?
2  Economy / Speculation / Raw CSV data USD/Brazilian Real Dollar (All Time data per hour) on: June 06, 2017, 09:57:57 PM
I am wanting to download raw data (Date, Time, and Market Price) per hour from bitcoin's birth.

Anyone know where I can find this (hopefully for both USD and Brazilian Real)?

3  Economy / Lending / 0.03 BC Immediate payback [Loan acquired - Closed thread] on: November 25, 2016, 08:43:09 AM
I would like a short-term loan of 0.05.

Currently Coinbase has BC hovering at $734.11 USD per 1 BC.

I've been a member since 2014 and I will send payment before your "loan" is sent.

Its thanksgiving so LBC is really slow.. :/

Collateral is payment sent before BC sent.

4  Economy / Service Discussion / BFL Cloud Mining (How to get money back?) on: November 07, 2014, 09:26:37 PM
Greetings,

I've purchased some Cloud Mining "contracts" from BFL however I see now that they're totally done for.

How exactly does one go about getting a refund?

I've already contacted the FTC and sent the current email recipient of BFL my refund request.

I purchased my first contract in October of 2013.

Any help is appreciated.

Kind Regards,

emsjvh

6  Economy / Services / Halo CE (Automatted Payout system) Programmer needed on: April 03, 2014, 10:42:03 AM
I currently run free Halo Bitcoin matches on the weekends and I was wanting to automate payouts based on matches.

Currently everything is done manually however what I'd like to setup is a simple GUI login where users can place their request addresses for payout and directly connect to the Halo CE server I have setup.

The payouts are done simple.

Who ever wins a Slayer match is paid with the server bankroll and for a Team Slayer match the entire team is paid based on a standard server "bankroll".

This system only needs to verify that a player wins and pay that player at the end of the match.

Anyone that feels up for the challenge feel free to reply to this thread with a summary of your expertise and a quote for your services.

9  Economy / Gambling / halobc.com | Battle in Halo CE for Bitcoin | Free to play(BETA)| Free 0.035 ฿ | on: March 21, 2014, 06:29:12 AM
I have started http://www.halobc.com in hopes of bringing some joy to the Bitcoin community.

For a full tutorial on how to join the game please visit http://www.halobc.com/join-game.html.

Summary : In short you play against others in either Slayer or Team Slayer matches on Halo Custom Edition. I figured instead of gambling I can put my money to better use by hosting/funding a dedicated Halo CE server, Ventrilo server, and a server bank roll for the matches.

Because the server bankroll is funded out of pocket you don't need to spend any Bitcoin in order to compete.

Game Play : The Slayer match provides the opportunity for players to win 0.035 ฿ (Only one person can win the bankroll for this match).

The Team Slayer match allows the winning team to win 0.025 ฿ divided amongst themselves equally.

Hours of Operation : The server runs 24/7 however Bitcoin matches only take place currently on Saturdays.

The Saturday matches begin at 7pm eastern daylight time and ends around 8:45 - 9:00pm.

Payouts : After the match has ended payouts are sent.

Fairness : In order to prevent aim bots I have installed server addons to detect aim bots. I will also compete in every game to make sure no one is cheating. When I compete in Team Slayer and my team wins I will ask the losing teammates to choose a number from 1 - 10 and whoever answers correctly gets my cut that way I do not profit per game. If I happen to win a Slayer match then the winnings will be sent to everyone in the game (except for me).

For full information on how to join the server visit http://www.halobc.com/join-game.html.

Sever Specifications : All servers are ran on PCI express SSDs along with Intel quad core processors for an optimal gaming experience (hence the low ping values). The servers are also DDoS protected to provide 24/7 up time.

If you would like to have "priority" access to the upcoming server matches reply to this thread. Matches are first come first serve unless you reply.

10  Economy / Games and rounds / Billion-dollar bracket (Warren Buffet) Odds on: March 19, 2014, 12:55:25 PM
http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2014/03/16/buffett-quicken-ncaa-bracket-march-madness-billion-dollars/6410185/

Where are they coming up with the "9,223,372,036,854,775,808" number?

Also is the Binomial Probability Formula suited for determining this outcome? (I'd assume for general computation yes however I believe certain games percentages may vary an extreme amount which would lead me to believe you should be using something else)

http://fivethirtyeight.com/datalab/we-have-a-1-in-6001225228-chance-of-winning-buffetts-billion/

tl;dr : No one is going to win the 64 bracket or Buffet's money...

11  Economy / Gambling / Seuntjie Dice Bot Checksum Data (MD5,SHA1,SHA256,TIGER,WHIRLPOOL) on: March 17, 2014, 06:42:03 AM
Why should you checksum programs?

If you're using a program to handle Bitcoin you will most likely want to be assured the program you downloaded has not been edited by anyone else but the developer (If the file has been comprised by a hacker your Bitcoin may be at stake). Before I downloaded this program I downloaded it 5 times from various locations and then compared all the checksum data to be assured that the file I am downloading is indeed the original file.

Intro: I figured since quite a few people used this Dice Bot there should be a thread with comparisons of check sum data. Feel free to compare your checksum data to mine.

Checksum programs
: The executable console programs I used for the various checksum tests are located here : http://md5deep.sourceforge.net/
If you would like to use the checksum utility from Microsoft here is the link : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/841290 (Only MD5 and SHA1 hashes are produced with this program)

Checksum Hases
: DiceBot-2.4.6 checksums for the .zip file version 2.4.6.

12  Economy / Trading Discussion / How to fully secure your computer for Bitcoin transactions on: March 02, 2014, 04:18:32 AM
Assume nothing is safe!

I see alot of posts on using Armory however what good is Armory if you haven't verified whether the file has been tampered with?

I highly recommend installing a Linux Distro.

1) Download Linux Distro
2) Checksum .iso file with ALL relevant hashes (sha1,md5,sha256,etc..)
3) PGP your .iso file as well comparing to the public key the developers produce.
4) Set aside a machine for purely storing your BC.
5) Install Linux (do not install third party drivers)
6) Remove any tracking features if enabled (Newer versions of Ubuntu sends your data to amazon..... general command is "sudo apt-get remove unity-lens-shopping").
7) Install UFW and reject all incoming connections whenever you start up your machine. (You can get more technical for allowing/denying/rejecting connections via terminal or the preferences section of UFW)
Cool Add various trusted Firefox addons (I'll compile a list later on in this thread).
9) Download your preferred wallet
10) Check sum your preferred wallet with ALL relevant hashes.
11) PGP your file once again and compare it against the developer's key.
12) You now have a very secure system.... If you'd like to go more in-depth you can always check out Hardened Linux.

13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Help with Martingale Bot on: February 26, 2014, 07:53:21 PM
Greetings everyone,

I would like to code in C a simple martingale bot that will interface with Firefox.

I've also looked at the option of using Clang and Emscripten for a java script approach.

I'm looking for advice/guidance on how to do this (I'm a beginner in C... I've just made console programs).

Kind Regards,

Clownfish
