22  Economy / Trading Discussion / Multi-Sig ESCROW NETWORKs. 2-of-3/4/5 Network. (A Proposal) on: December 30, 2015, 05:12:27 AM
Alright, I was a victim of the master-P scam. I was scammed 3 BTC from it. Many others were scammed. The amount was around 25 BTC. So, instead of using a single guy, I would propose a better way of escrow. With this, a need for Multi-Sig escrow service was felt. So, I foudn a way of implementing this using Electrum as the wallet. I do not use other wallets, so, I couldn't get hold of them. Any other suggestions would surely be added here.

This can be called as "Multi-Sig Escrow Network". Multi-Sig because this uses multiple users to sign the transaction. Escrow because escrow scams need to be stopped. Network because multiple people would be involved in this.

Now, let's assume a case where Me (grtthegreat), OgNasty, SebastianJu, monbux offer an escrow network. And say, I turn out to be a scammer, and SebastianJu is on vacation, then the other two can sign the transaction.

I am using Electrum and I found that in Version 2.5.4, there's a provision to create a Multi-Sig wallet with as many cosigners as possible. Here, we are four. So, any of the two (or more) signatures are always required to sign the transaction. In this case, I (none of us alone) can use the funds. This way, this prevents escrows from being scammers.

Each network should contain three or four or five members at max, and atleast two of them should be highly trustworthy.

This guide I created below shows how we can create a Multi-Sig escrow network in Electrum and cosign four (or more) members and allow two (or more) to sign the transaction. This also fastens the transaction speed because if four members come online at different times, there's high probability that any two coming online first, can sign and allow transaction.

NOTE: This guide below uses Electrum 2.5.4. Please upgrade to the latest Electrum.

23  Economy / Scam Accusations / master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. How I GOT SCAMMED. on: December 28, 2015, 12:55:55 PM
iflewtoday32 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=343767) and me started a trade on 20th December 2015 for his PM for my BTC. I recommended Mitchełł (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=113670) as escrow. But, iflewtoday32 contacted master-P and setup the deal. Seeing the trust, I was okay with it. So, this was the conversation between the three of us. What happened next is in the form of images below.

For those who would like to see the address and transaction on blockchain, here are the links:

https://blockchain.info/address/18PJHZTTPvcWrpBMnFStgyuphpvuwTgT3k

Sure, I can help with this transaction. I've included the other party "grtthegreat" in this PM. Please use the "Reply to all" function when replying to the messages whenever necessary.

Please confirm the terms with each other via PM and include me in each response so I know how much I should be expecting to escrow, any specific release terms, etc. Thanks Smiley

Signed message and escrow address below:

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

29  Other / Meta / Defamation and Misuse of trust system. on: August 24, 2015, 11:02:27 AM
Guys, recently there were 2 incidents. Two people, rather two newbies left negative trust on my profile saying I scammed them and I owe them huge amount of btc.

Today, one guy, with username

osiztechnologies.com (Profile link here) left a negative trust saying I owe him 10 btc.

Also, few days back, a user with username Fantic (Profile link here) left a feedback.

All these happened without any reason. What is the best thing I can do to avoid such unwanted disturbances??
30  Economy / Reputation / The BCT PGP/GPG Public Key Database: Stake Your PGP Key Here on: August 23, 2015, 01:16:04 PM
NOTE 1: Please make sure that you also post your PGP fingerprint along with your PGP Public Key. Refer this link.

NOTE 2: Please make sure you ask for a PGP signature and also make sure that the fingerprint of the PGP signature matches with the PGP fingerprint given in the (PARENTHESIS) beside the username below.

LAST UPDATE: 06 June 2019.

It is a fact that it is very difficult to differentiate between a veteran member and a newbie with a similar looking username ready to scam you. For example, DannyHamilton is a veteran member for and has been long trusted as an escrow agent but there are many accounts which have similar usernames which should be steered clear of.

Most of the veteran members who are specifically involved in activities like Escrow Service, Currency Exchange, Signature Campaign, etc which involve transfer of huge amounts of money sign the address with PGP which can be verified using their respective PGP/GPG Public Keys.

Hence, I am hereby linking all the PGP/GPG Public Key of different members. Please use the "find" feature in your browser to quickly navigate to the username. The list is in alphabetical order.

32  Economy / Digital goods / [WTB] Windows 10 Pro Key + Direct Download Link from MS on: August 02, 2015, 07:19:26 AM
I want to buy a Windows 10 Pro Key along with the download links from M$DN. I would download and pay once I am completely verified the key by installing it on my PC.

At max, I would pay $10. Any orders less than that would be appreciable. I wouldn't go first. You go first because 99% of the sellers selling keys here are Newbies and many of them also resell keys.

I will buy from the one who offers me the key at the lowest price and as I always say, ESCROW IS ALWAYS WELCOME, but not mandatory, if you trust me.

Just PM me to let me know or post in this thread below.

37  Economy / Speculation / Block Halving in 2016 - Boon or Bane for BTC price ?? on: June 01, 2015, 07:33:22 PM
Well, we all know that the last block halving was in mid-2012 which turned down a block reward of 50 BTC to 25 BTC. Now, in mid-2016, we expect a block halving thus halving down it further to 12.5 BTC. But, this leads me to arise two questions to the expert community out there.

1) Basic economics says, with increase in demand and decrease in supply, price increases. Whereas, with decrease in demand and increase in supply, price decreases. So, for the last 3-4 months, the price of BTC has been around 230$-270$ per BTC. The price has actually rather decreased due to panic selling of BTC by miners and many other attacks on the exchanges out there. But, if in 2016, we assume the demand remains the same and the supply decreases (due to block halving to 12.5 BTC per block), then will the price of BTC increase ?

2) Will the price of BTC instead decrease because with low price and decreased block reward, the miners will sell more BTC instead to cover the mining cost ?

Any answers will be greatly appreciated.

40  Economy / Services / WANT TO MAINTAIN A SIGNATURE CAMPAIGN on: April 08, 2015, 05:09:37 PM
Hello guys, this is me grtthegreat, finally back after a long time (~3 months). As you can see in the title, I wish I can be given a chance to maintain one more complete signature campaign. I have already managed the 777Coin signature campaign here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=840124.0. I maintained the list, enrolled the users and paid them weekly there.

Any offers can be sent via PM or can be posted here. Rates can be discussed later.

PS: I also got a green trust rating (3: -0 / +4(4)), so you can consider it as an added advantage.
