21  Economy / Economics / Debt and Crypto? on: February 18, 2018, 08:14:08 PM
I was wondering what everybody's thoughts were on issuing debt based on cryptocurrency. Debt is an extremely important factor for economies to grow. In a simple example, very few people would actually be able to purchase a house without debt. If you can't purchase large cost items like cars and houses, to name a few, the economy will literally collapse. Not to mention that transportation would become a very big problem. There's more examples to be made for starting businesses and many more but I won't discuss that in my original post.

Cryptocurrency is not inherently a debt instrument and cannot simply be "printed" or issued past its limit. I know a lot of people here feel that banks should die and banks are evil, but realistically I don't see how an economy can survive without debt instruments and issuers. If Bitcoin does replace all currency, does this mean that banks will collapse, or issue their own cryptocurrency to 'lend coins' to people who would like to make a big purchase and pay it off over time? Would it even be possible to pay interest back on a large scale if a coin has a finite supply? If there is 21 million Bitcoin in debt lent out and circulating, how could there possibly be a way to collect more than that by the bank. Would multiple cryptocurrencies solve a problem like that, or would it mean that the debt just gets pushed off onto some other coin and then also onto another infinitely?

I love Bitcoin and all this technology, however I have not theorized a way in which it can completely rework debt instruments and the institutions that supply them. IE: Banks.

Would love to have a discussion going on this topic. I have pretty limited economic logic!
22  Economy / Digital goods / [WTS] PokemonGO Tracker (After update) on: July 31, 2016, 05:40:26 PM
Hey there and I'm just throwing a feeler out for selling PRIVATE servers for pokemonGO tracking webapps I can set up. Here are some features that have developed since PokeVision's version.

- A URL of a server for you and your friends to use
- Scans every five seconds and shows time left of pokemon to despawn
- Can alert when specified pokemon show up on the tracker with a sound and jumping icons
- Sees gym colors
- Can filter specific pokemon out (Pidgey, rats, paras)
- Shows what areas you have scanned (green, yellow, or red circles on the map)
- You can move the locator to scan wherever you want
- And many more!

I also have the time to provide customer support for a large number of servers if demand is high. I'm not sure if this is something people would want here, as generally this is a pretty programming and tech savvy forum, but I had to do a lot of debugging on my workspaces to get this thing to work. And it's way better than any other public webservice (That don't exist anymore)!

24  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Android mining on: September 17, 2015, 03:17:09 PM
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.miner&hl=en is an app I found while searching android crypto mining. I haven't tried it because I wasn't sure if there was another app or something people knew about. I'm aware the cpu of a single android is very weak. I would have 100+ ghz all legally mine etc. I'm currently doing other thing sto make money but was wondering if android mining is viable. I'm aware of heat problems etc. that could arise. Thanks for taking the time to read and possibly answer. It'd be really cool seeing as how CPU coins typically have far less network difficulty.

26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / CPU only coins to mine? on: January 13, 2015, 09:08:25 PM
Hi guys, I was just wondering if anybody here is mining a CPU only altcoin. I have 6 hours of downtime at work each day and then it suddenly came to me, I could be mining coins during this time at work! Sure it may not be worth much, but I really enjoy mining and I always bring my laptop with me and use a VPN at work. Ever since the asic days of Scrypt my mining days are over... I want to get back in the swing of things with CPU only coins!
27  Economy / Service Discussion / GAW forces 2FA on: November 23, 2014, 08:17:51 PM
Title says it all. GAWmining has forced 2FA on all new sign ups AS WELL as 2FA upon withdrawing for old accounts. It is under the falsehood of "added security" and "paving the way" for all companies. What kind of a company would allow itself to make such poor decisions? Not only this, but they have extended their "ICO" for people to mine 2 more weeks of "HashPoints" (yes, in store credit to buy their new Paycoin for $4 which will launch at $20). Cash out now and never look back.
28  Economy / Speculation / Stock Market charting BTC on: November 12, 2014, 03:10:48 PM
Here is a four month downward channel with bitcoin.  http://imgur.com/Hf3AcQ6,piL7U3L#0   . From that you can see the 4 month channel bitcoin has been trading in, and you can also see towards the end (a couple weeks ago) consolidation towards the upper half of the channel. This is a significant signal of a breakout to the positive side. This is just one chart, and by itself doesn't explain much.

Chart 2:  http://imgur.com/Hf3AcQ6,piL7U3L#1    .   This is an overall graph of bitcoin year to date (YTD). As you can see, there are certain patterns trending within the graph. First off, every time the lines cross on the graph, there is a steep decline or incline. In stocks we call these stochastic oscillators. They judge the supply/demand of whatever chart we're looking at, in this case BTC. You will also notice the exact time-frame of 4 months between stochastic buy and sell signals. We have not hit a complete buy signal yet, which means you still have time to get in before the rally. These are the time periods where you want to buy in or sell off, before the stochastic signals actually touch. The charts are siting bitcoin is going up at least $200. Good day   Grin

Fixed.

Took over 24 hours to get a withdrawal processed when it's "automated"
