Hi, i searched and searched, and there is small amount of info how to mine with GPU AMD HD5xxx series, which miner to use, which kernel to use and all stuff that can help to all miners that are stucked with old GPU AMD HD5xxx series. (5850,5870,5970)

So far i have success to mine X11,X13 and Nist5 with drivers v13.12 newer drivers like 14.4, 14.6, 14.7 gave me less speed by 5%.

I do not have success to setup X14,X15,X17 and FRESH. With nicehash sgminer 5 https://nicehash.com/software/#sgminer , i am getting BLANK screen and pc hang.

So please if you don't mind, share your info and experience here, to make at least one thread where miners can find info for these old cards.

PreminePlus has a fair distribution system, but don't you think is a little bit slow ?
i mean it lasts for months, it is too long for my standards, what about you ?

And they exists on scene too long to not have a logo, do you think that it is time to attach a logo, just to be recognisable ?

I see there is a lot of progress of Sgminers for new 280/290 AMD cards.
I have tested all of them and there is impressive speed boost, not to mention that supports new algos.

However there is no progress for old HD5XXX cards.
No speed progress at all and no X15 mining.
With new Sgminers that can be found on the forum or elsewhere,
my pc just freezes to white screen, or just become unresponsive.
No matter what i combine, what kernel or config i use.

If someone has experience or knowledge to modify Sgminer to be able to mine at greater speed on new AMD drivers,
or even to mine new algos like X15, thousand of miners worlwide will be grateful.
We all have some old GPUs that can be involved into mining as well as new 280/290.
