For me one of the best and most lucrative strategies now is picking up great ICOs just after their listings at(on?) exchanges.
If I couldn't participate or the allocation was too small and the project is great I always try to pick up some after listing.
I've already made it with Icon(x5), Zilliqa (x3), Zebi (x2), tomocoin (x3), Fusion (x4), POA (x2). There are also a lot of projects with less profit
like TE-FOOD, Electrify.Asia, etc.
Of course, it's not so profitable in comparison with top ICOs, but it's one more good tactic to earn pretty good profit. Let's think what ICO'scan make maximum X's by the end of 2018.

3. Quarkchain/Pchain.
For the 3rd place I picked 2 projects which are pretty similar.
Both of them are new blockchains, both have great teams, both have a sharding as one of the main features, and of course they have huge hype. Token metrics of Quarkchain is looked better than Pchain and I'm sure it will make more X's from the ICO price. But we are here to find what project will make more profit on the distance from listing to the end of 2018. It’s possible that Quarkchain will make 8x and Pchain will make 5x on the listing, but by the end of 2018 Quarkchain will make just 80% from the listing price and Pchain will make 150% for example. So, again, our target is to find the optimal balance between ICO listing price and its future price potential.
The future price evaluation of these two is based on comparison with Zilliqa. Many people understand this, that's why I think the price on the listing will be already big. I think we still can make a good profit here but not so much my second pick.
2. NEX
NEX is the top project of many ICO raters like OhHeyMatty, ICODrops, CrushCrypto and others. There is a line in their whitepaper that can make this exchange huge:
"NEX is the first DEX that will allow its clients to enter the exchange with fiat currencies such as USD, powered by a global network of licensed third parties."
Token metrics are also awesome. There are no private sales or pre-sales. Any bonuses or discounts. Only crowdsale with really strict selection of participants.
Add here the lottery that deprived thousands of people their allocations. Now think how many of them will deserve to buy NEX tokens after listing!
BTW NEX token will entitle its holders to a share of the fees generated by the NEX exchange. It means that if NEX become successful exchange with decent liquidity these tokens
will generate a profit to you all the time you hold them.

1. NKN
Probably the less hyped ICO of these four candidates but I think people just don't realize how huge NKN potential is.
Sorry that I repeat it again but we are trying to find the most undervalued project, buy it from exchange BEFORE everyone understands its real potential, and make a good profit from it.
So what is NKN?
NKN stands for “New Kind of Network” or New Internet in a nutshell. It aims to become the protocol equivalent to TCP/IP for the Internet on the blockchain. We should admit that with the blockchain technology it's just a matter of time when the old internet gives place to a new Internet based on completely different principles. BTW, if you have seen “ The Silicon Valley“, you may remember the episode about the Pied Piper's New Internet which is very close to what NKN will do

You can ask me "why we need it at all, the nowadays internet is great!". Well, not exactly:
- Net Neutrality is overturned . On December 14, 2017, the Commission voted to partially repeal the 2015 Open Internet Order,
- Information is centralized so it can be censored,
- Scalability problems. Bandwidth is not utilized efficiently.
NKN's challenge is to solve these problems.
NKN have a very strong team and one of the strongest advisors I've ever seen - Whitfield Diffie (also known as "Bitcoin Gandalf"
). Just read about this Man on Wikipedia.Their CEO studied in Stanford, have more than 10 years of R&C experience at such giants as Nokia and Qualcomm. He is also Founder and led Onchain Beijing office so
have an outstanding background in blockchain, cryptography and Mesh networks.
90% tokens will be locked from 6 months (private sale) to 3 years (team and foundation) and 30% is allocated to miners (25 years).
After listing on exchanges there will be only 10% tokens of total supply on market. For hard cap of $18 mln dollars if NKN tokens cost even x5 from ICO price, it will be only 90 mln capitalization and about 150 place on CMC.
I believe it's a project from at least top50 in a long run, so please put two and two together and you'll see that this project can make x15-20 by the end of the 2018.
