2  Bitcoin / Mining / Is anyone running their Mining Rigs in an Oil Tank? on: June 22, 2011, 07:33:50 AM
Some people are having problems with dust, noise and heat with their mining rigs. Running your rigs in a tank of mineral oil would eliminate all three of these problems. You could even cool the oil with a radiator if you wanted to run it hot.

Is anyone doing this already?

4  Economy / Marketplace / Are all these Ponzi schemes and other cons legal? on: June 19, 2011, 05:42:45 AM
Just wondering about the legality of the Bitcoin Ponzi schemes and other cons. Now that I think of it, how about the unlicensed gambling sites?

Does the existence of these sites harm the viability of Bitcoin as a currency? If so, what can be done about it?
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Would some nice gentleman send me a tiny amount so I can check my client works? on: June 19, 2011, 04:06:04 AM
I have just recently installed the Bitcoin client. I was hoping to test it out using the Bitcoin Faucet but it now requires a Google account which is a deal breaker for me. I'm anti-Google, no really I can't even view 18 plus videos on youtube any more. Sad

Would some nice gentleman or lady please send me a convenient amount of Bitcoins so that I can check my client works? It took me 2 days to download the block chain so I'm a bit weary.

My address is: 1F6aMYyqy95itC88okx85FXwPvuQref8ZF

Kind regards,

6  Other / Beginners & Help / Absolutely love Bitcoin! on: June 18, 2011, 03:14:05 PM
I've been reading all about how Bitcoin works and I think it's an absolutely awesome idea. I'm an IT student and I'm doing an assignment on public key encryption so I'm using Bitcoin as an example.

Hopefully we're all trading with BTC in 2020!
