Hallo,

Zit sinds vanmiddag met een enorm probleem. Een Jaxx wallet waarvan ik (ja, het is heel dom, ik weet het!) de seed phrase NIET opgeschreven heb (normaal doe ik dat ALTIJD gelijk maar deze keer is het erbij ingeschoten) laadt opeens niet meer. Tot een uur of 16 's middags deed alles het nog prima en heb ik meerdere keren de wallet geopend en bitcoins verstuurd en ontvangen. En toen ik hem iets na 16 uur weer wou openen bleef opeens het scherm blauw! Alleen de tekst "Jaxx Liberty" en "Your gateway to all things crypto" staat er maar er is niks aanklikbaar. Heb alles al geprobeerd (opnieuw opstarten, VPN uitzetten, wifi vervangen voor kabel, laptop opnieuw opstarten) en zelfs wat geavanceerdere opties via de hulp van iemand op internet. Maar niets helpt. Ook is het geen algehele storing van Jaxx want op een andere laptop kon ik gewoon een test account aanmaken die wel gelijk werkte.

En er staat een saldo op wat echt te hoog is om kwijt te raken!

Ik woon zelf in de regio Nijmegen, is er hier iemand die veel verstand van Jaxx wallets heeft en binnen 2 uur rijden van Nijmegen (dat is bijna elke plaats in NL wel) woont en die mij met mijn laptop zou willen ontvangen om te proberen dit probleem op te lossen? Bij succes zal er uiteraard een beloning volgen! Het kost je niks, ik kom uiteraard naar jou toe!

I was using Jaxx like normal all day today. And then all of a sudden when I open Jaxx it won't load anymore. The screen stays blue with the "Jaxx Liberty" logo on it and the text "your gateway to all things crypto"

But my wallet just won't open.

The same happens after restarting my pc.

Is this a common thing to happen to Jaxx? Temporary technical error or so? Any ideas?

I am using a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet since last week. I put bitcoins on there last week and now I open my Ledger Live on my PC without having the Nano S connected to it, and it loads my balance perfectly. How is it possible that this app knows my balance without being connected to my Nano S? The Bitcoins are only stored in my Nano S, correct?
So does Ledger Live simply remember my balance from the last time I conntected the Nano S to it, or how can this be possible?

I already have a lot of crypto but at the moment only BTC and ETH. Of my portfolio, about 85% is BTC and 15% is ETH.
Now I want to buy some more crypto, which can be any kind apart from BTC cause I already have enough of those. The aim of this is make it an investment in the long term. I want to keep them for at least 5 years and then sell, or possibly even longer.
The only 2 factors are:
- it has to be eligible for storage on a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet, so no very strange altcoins
- preferably it did not increase as much in value as BTC and ETH have over the last couple months. Then I feel I have missed out on money already and I prefer to not buy at peak moment (although you never know for sure in advance what a peak is of course)

The coins which look to fit my criteria are Litecoin, XRP, EOS, Monero and Dash.
What would you recommend me? Or possibly buy some more ETH as well?

Or just split it 20% each equally for all the 5 coins I mentioned?
