4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Can anyone help me? IOTA transaction stuck pending and turning my hair grey... on: December 09, 2017, 02:07:38 PM
I'm loosing it with IOTA atm. I've had a transaction suck as pending for a couple of days now, I've tried reattaching it using different nodes and still nothing. I'm trying to send from the stupid bloody wallet to Binance. Now I've got 14 pending and unconfirmed transactions coming up in my deposit history on Binance.

This forum has helped me out a lot over the last few years, now I'm just hoping it can pull one out the bag for me again.

I've heard IOTAs are at risk of being lost if transactions are still pending during next weeks snapshot no naturally I'm starting to grow more and more frustrated that I can't push this through.

Instant transactions and 0 fees are supposed to be a major part of IOTA's USP, scary.... Just as well it's number 4 on CMC hey, otherwise people might start to become bit disillusioned........

Thanks in advance.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / If Bitcoin forks on 1st August, which fork would my coins end up on? on: June 25, 2017, 11:45:56 AM
I really dont understand too much about what could happen after a fork in the blockchain. I'm not asking for speculation (as if we knew that we would all be multi millionaires). But if BTC did fork what would happen to the coins I'm holding?

Would I have coins on both forks? Or would I have to choose which fork to move them to?

Like I said, Im no expert but I want to be as prepared as possible for 1st August.

Thanks
6  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Will quantum computing kill crypto? on: June 25, 2017, 11:12:23 AM
With the steps forward that quantum computing is making will it mean the end of crypto as we know it once quantum computing become a reality?

I mean it effectivly makes encryption useless, someone with a quantum computer could just brute force a private key from a public key in no time. This will kill every crypto currently out there.

Do you think we will see new quantum cryptos released once the technology is ready? Or do you think Bitcoin will adopt a new layer of quantum security if that is even possible?

I'm by no means an expert on the subject but unless the good guys get their hands on some form of quantum computer before the bad guys it kind of puts a ticking timer on the whole crypto industry. That's if an extra layer of quantum encryption can even be implemented in some way for Bitcoin.

If not, then I guess we better time it just right and get the f**k outta here at the right time.

Thoughts?
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Address shows that it's recieved alot of coins in the client but 0 on blockchain on: May 23, 2017, 04:53:07 PM
Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: Bitcoin Core version v0.14.1 (64-bit)

Operating System: MacOS Sierra 10.12.2

Description of Problem: I am going through old wallet.dat files (just checking to make sure I havent forgotten about a satoshi or two) and in the transaction history in the Bitcoin Client it says a hell of a lot of Bitcoin have been sent to an address I own: 1HuhiGhnDS3LWJTupU7s7HsC4YhPSs6jrc (SEE ATTACHED SCREENSHOT). When I go to any blockchain explorer though and type that address in it comes up as an unused wallet address with 0 transactions. Obviously I would have remebered owning that many Bitcoin but I'm confused as to why it's showing up in the client and not the blockchain.

Any Related Transaction IDs: 21e2f8cf6a2416dd0da65c3b523e422df1dafc340aa04a3ed022610aa28bfc9e and alot more, if you need each individual transaction ID let me know.

I did have active wallets in 2014 when these unknowen transactions say they took place. If I'm a millionaire and I didnt know it ill happily reward who ever helps me out generously! haha  Cheesy Grin

Thanks!
