1  Economy / Games and rounds / Matching Last 2 Digits In Block Wins on: October 25, 2016, 05:08:41 PM
I have encrypted the 2 digit winning number generated from random.org with MD5. It includes the first 2 digits followed by random digits so it can't be cracked.

Example: 50|1234567890

Deposit a minimum of 0.001 to .

Encrypted Version: .

First person to win gets the entire pot, of course it is likely there will be multiple winners and so it will be divided.

The last 2 digits of the block your transaction is wins.

To show I will not cheat and participate I will require all members to prove they own the address when they win and state they are not me.

Good luck. :-)
2  Economy / Services / Web Designer For Hire on: October 24, 2016, 11:15:12 PM
I'm very familiar with HTML/5 and CSS/3. I also have some knowledge of JS to use in animations on websites.

I don't charge very much but unless you have good reputation I'd like a partial upfront payment before I begin work.

PM me if you're interested.
3  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying All Bitcoins (UKBT) (Escrow) on: October 21, 2016, 11:09:27 PM

If you don't want to use escrow that if fine but you must go first.
4  Economy / Gambling / HotPot - Lottery/Auction Style Gambling on: October 21, 2016, 12:53:14 PM

http://hotpot.site/

What Is HotPot?

- HotPot is a creative way to gamble your Bitcoins, just like any other game you can strategize your play or just gamble whenever you feel like it.

- The game has been described as a hybrid of a lottery and an auction.

How Do I Play?

- The minimum deposit is 0.001 BTC (1,000 bits) and must include your wallet fees. Most wallets like Blockchain.info will adjust the transaction automatically to cover the fees. If your wallet doesn't then you may have to send 0.0011 BTC instead.

- After the first deposit has been confirmed a timer will start from 24 hours. Once this timer ends the last person who deposited into the pot wins (kind of like an auction). Each confirmed deposit gives you a chance to win but also sets the timer back 3 hours.

- If you want to strategize your bets then you can try and wait until it looks like everybody else if offline and not paying attention, then you can grab the pot.

- You are 100% welcome to create your own bots to bid for you.

Legalities

- Please check with your countries/states website to see if it legal to gamble online, or if you are at the minimum age requirement.

- There will soon be IP checks put in place to block users coming from restricted areas.

5  Other / Off-topic / Nintendo NX Reveal Today on: October 20, 2016, 12:12:49 PM
Finally, after years of waiting we will be getting a preview trailer today. 3PM UK time. They have teased everyone with this new "home console" and it has a very active community in /r/NintendoNX. If any of you are stock traders I'd recommend buying Nintendo stock. Everybody thought it would be a hybrid or some lesser kind of console, but it's not.

Have any of you been waiting for some time now for the reveal?
6  Economy / Services / Looking for Escrow BTC Game Pot Holder on: October 19, 2016, 08:03:28 PM
Since I have had a few mishaps in the Bitcoin community in order for people to trust my game I want a respected escrow user from this site to be the holder of the pot. When the game ends you send the winner 90%, send me 9% and keep 1% for yourself. Anybody interested? You must have good reputation.
7  Bitcoin / Project Development / "The Button" for BTC on: October 18, 2016, 08:28:20 PM
I know somebody has already made this game for Ethereum, but I believe he chose the wrong market.

The idea of the game is that the main BTC address would need to be sent 1,000 bits to start a 24 hour timer, when the timer dies, the last person to deposit BTC wins.

I want to know would you be willing to spend 1,000 bits for a chance to win this game? Or do you think either it will never end, or people simply won't deposit.

If that is the case, would you change your mind if I let people deposit 10,000 to speed up timer instead of resetting it? So people can build actual strategies?

I would really appreciate your thoughts on this. Thank you.

Investing -

You must invest at least 0.01 BTC, maximum is 1 BTC until I start earning more.

You can invest for 5 days for 0.5% interest, or 10 days for 1.25% interest, your BTC is not withdraw-able during this time.

Loaning -

After you have invested at least 0.02 BTC, you may request a loan of up to 0.02 BTC.

Loans can be paid back within 5 days with 5% interest, or in 10 days with 7.5% interest.

I require a picture of yourself and your ID before I give you a loan.

-

PM me for instructions on how to invest or take out a loan.

10  Bitcoin / Project Development / Loaning System for BTC on: October 16, 2016, 12:41:04 PM
I'm contemplating on creating a loaning system for BTC.

The idea would be to have a hall of fame and a hall of shame. To get a loan you must first provide either something valuable (keys or something) or a picture of you next to your ID.

Then people who pay back on time will be added to hall of fame, if they don't they will be added to hall of shame along with their face.

Do you guys like this idea?

I contact you and begin the trade as soon as I see the notification.
12  Bitcoin / Project Development / Call/Put Game on: September 26, 2016, 08:12:44 PM
I'm theorizing about a potentially great game if I'm right in that it can be made fair to play.

So essentially you take a Casino's bankroll and let the users guess if within 30 seconds their bankroll with go up (call) or down (put). Let's say this Casino has a house edge of 1%, so since it's more likely to win by calling the player will receive 99.5% profit if he calls and wins, but if he puts and wins he gets a 100.5% profit. You can use the Casino's normal bankroll for this, a separate bankroll is not needed. Say if somebody tries to cheat by losing on purpose 1 BTC and then calls the bankroll with another 1 BTC, he will end up losing .5%.

Do you guys think this is a good idea, and is it a game you would like to play?

Quick and partially finished mockup for what the interface of such a game might look like: http://s.codepen.io/Alanay/debug/YGVABN
13  Bitcoin / Project Development / Faucet Lottery on: July 29, 2016, 03:33:54 PM
I had an idea a few days ago to create a Bitcoin faucet lottery. The way it works is many people will enter their Bitcoin address, after a certain time limit (likely 5-30m) a random address will be chosen and sent the complete faucet. So instead of getting $0.0005 dollars every 10 minutes from a regular lotto, you would enter this one and have a small chance to win something around $5-100 depending how popular it is. There will obviously be adverts displayed to fund the faucet and ad-blocker detectors will be used.

If there are any good Back-end Developers out there interested in trying this please message me. I'll pay for the hosting and anything else. I would also work on the Front-end, as I am experienced in CSS and some popular CSS frameworks.

I'd also like to hear any feedback or concerns you guys may have.
14  Economy / Currency exchange / Buying / Selling BTC (LocalBitcoins Escrow) on: July 21, 2016, 04:31:23 PM
Hello,

I'm buying and selling Bitcoin at 5%. This is one of the best trades you will find on BitcoinTalk and LocalBitcoins. I only accept National Bank Transfer (United Kingdom) as of this moment.

You can send first or we can use LocalBitcoins as escrow.

Price is from Preev with Bitfinex, Bitstamp and BTC-E ticked.

You do not need positive reputation on BitcoinTalk or LocalBitcoins to trade with me.

If you have any questions, or are looking to trade please message me. Smiley
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Minimum Amount To Start Trading? on: July 21, 2016, 03:30:29 PM
I will be using LocalBitcoins, if I have 0.5 BTC I can sell up to 85% of that in my own advert then the rest on another person's advert. Is there a way to make a profit this way? Or is 0.5 simply not enough to start with?
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / New Colorful Currency on: July 20, 2016, 11:22:47 PM
I'm making this thread to see if people would be interested in or would find no use for a new type of currency.

The currency would be every bit the same as Bitcoin with a few exceptions, one of which being the major de facto difference.

The public keys will be stored in an image instead of a hash in text. These images will be 36x36 pixels, containing 36 other "images" which will contain 6 different colors, all of which placed randomly but they will all appear 6 times.

These images have been scaled up 6x. On a wallet containing many addresses there will be plenty of room for them and they won't make your head spin.

This means an image can look like this (extremely unlikely, but still possible):

They cannot however, look as such:

Since these are addresses represented as images and not text instead of copying/pasting you will be downloading/uploading your addresses. I hope that a feature can be added so you can copy and paste the image address also.

If my math is correct then the chance of a collision will be 1 in 4.7383813e+18.

There is still 90% of this project which has to thought out, and then a 100% of the project which has to be developed.

Lastly, the hex values that will be in the image are: #FF0000 (red), #FFFF00 (yellow), #00FF00 (green), #00FFFF (cyan), #0000FF (blue), #FF00FF (purple).
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Would you feel safe with 1 in 60,000,000 chance of collision attack? on: July 20, 2016, 10:15:54 PM
Just a simple question, if the answer is no please tell me the minimum number you'd feel safe at.

EDIT: If no also, would 1 in 2,176,782,336 be enough or still no?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Idea for New Crypto-Currency on: July 19, 2016, 05:26:03 PM
Instead of having the address hold the public and private key why don't we give coins the public and private key. Then once a coin is sent to a user the private key will change and only be revealed to the receiver. This would mean users can actually have usernames instead of having to use long random addresses.

The coins as well as holding the public/private key can also then hold an ID. This would help verifying the validity of the coin, also creating markets where an individual might want to own a coin with a certain ID making some coins more valuable than others.

If you think this is a dumb idea or simply infeasible please let me know. Or if you have the time and knowledge to try making something like this then go ahead. Smiley
19  Other / Off-topic / Is It Possible to Mine with Electricity Produced by Lightning? on: July 18, 2016, 08:04:52 PM
Do you think it would be feasible to create a machine that powers on and mines only from and with the electricity produced by lightning?

Is it possible to even create a machine capable of doing this? By possible I also mean where it wouldn't be so difficult that it would require millions of dollars for research and development.

The benefits of this would of course be not having to pay for electricity, the downside being the cost to create such a machine and the amount of time it could run. It may be a good idea to harvest the electricity and then use it to allow for ordinary machines to mine for long sessions.

"Also, according to NASA, the greatest amount of lightning strikes are near the Catatumbo River in Venezuela (where there are 40,000 strikes every night, for most of the year)" - http://io9.gizmodo.com/5902218/maps-reveal-where-lightning-will-strike-next

"While a single bolt of lightning carries a relatively large amount of energy (approximately 5 billion joules or about the energy stored in 145 litres of petrol)" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harvesting_lightning_energy

If anybody out there has the will to calculate just how well you could do with a machine or machines like this located in "Catatumbo River in Venezuela" please let us know.
20  Other / Off-topic / How to encrypt so outcome will look a certain way? on: July 17, 2016, 02:49:37 PM
I'm looking to find a method of encryption to encrypt a long list of characters and numbers. For example I could encrypt a list of 120 characters, including 0-9 numbers, and a-z characters. Then I want the outcome to always look something like "abc123def456". So an outcome might look like "ioe527kkl981", that is 3 letters followed by 3 numbers followed by 3 letters followed by 3 numbers.

Is this possible, and if so what's the easiest way to do it?

Thank you.
