1  Bitcoin / Mining support / GUIminer accepted (0) on: June 21, 2011, 11:32:44 AM
Hey,

I've been using the GUIminer and connecting to slush pool. But at summary it says: accepting: 0.
It has a normal speed but nothing changes (like my account information). I am not doing any shares I think.
Does anyone know why?

Hey,

when I use the guiminer to connect to slush's pool, it keeps saying "connecting.." and when I look at summary, it says "speed: connecting...". Does anyone know how to fix this?
I am using a cpu but don't haven openCL installed (which isn't needed I think because I have a cpu)

Hey,

So I am using the guiminer with a cpu. And I am trying to use the slush pool. When I open the miner it automatically selects this pool. But on the site www.mining.bitcoin.cz they say to use the new url: http://api.bitcoin.cz:8332. Is this the same as the one sleceted by the miner or should I change it?
And when that's done, I start mining. Does that mean I have entered the pool? And when a block is found, how will I know, and how long is this going to take? I know my share wille probable be very small.
When it is running, it says it is "connecting". Is this allright.

Thanks

Hello,

I am new to the whole bitcoin thing and I have a few questions. I have downloaded the program from bitcoin.org. So I have my wallet adress and the program runs correctly on my pc. (I am using windown vista, and have a normal cpu)
Now I went to mining.bitcoin.cz and tried to follow the instructions. I made an account and downloaded a miner: jgarzik's miner for cpu's. I downloaded it, and ran the "minerd" document. But a window popped up saying it didn't work. What am I doing wrong? And how can I start mining?

Thanks.

Greetings,
mpi
