1  Other / Off-topic / Are you ready to fight for justice and freedom? on: May 24, 2020, 10:51:57 AM
Are you ready to fight for justice and freedom even if the authorities and elites dictate different things to you and pass laws that restrict human freedoms?

Ask yourself, are you ready to protect your family with your life, the people around you?

Most people are sleeping now and will not do so. From here we have what we have now.

But everything can be changed. The more people wake up, the sooner this world will change for the better.
2  Economy / Exchanges / Do exchanges need mobile apps? on: March 26, 2020, 02:59:07 PM
I recently learned from an article that various instant exchanges have mobile applications that essentially provide the same functions as the web versions. I can understand when massive platforms like Amazon create their applications. The web version in the smartphone looks rather bulky and inconvenient to use. But here, all that the user is interested in is one page with exchange pairs and an exchange button. I was wondering, why do platforms with such simple functionality create mobile applications that duplicate the functionality of the site, if everything is implemented quite simply on the web? Surely, I am missing something, so I want to put everything in its place.

3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / A question about AML KYC on: March 11, 2020, 03:36:04 PM
The CEO of Digitex exchange Adam Todd decided to publicly oppose the KYC system, believing that this system only repels customers from the service and destroys the business. I myself am not a big fan of KYC, but it is definitely not without meaning and helps to prevent laundering and so on. I wonder what goals he can actually pursue by making such a decision.

What do you think about KYC and its appropriateness? Do you separate KYC by the types? Like going through KYC to just get the access to exchange platform (as it is now with Shapeshift), or simply register with any email, but knowing that you might be one of the 0.1% and might be asked to confirm your identity (as it is now with Changelly)?

4  Economy / Currency exchange / A question about exchange rates on: March 04, 2020, 04:08:52 AM
Hey. I have a question for those who use various exchangers. Recently, I read an article in which it is a question of fixed rates during the exchange and their expediency.

Actually, the question is this: do you often use fixed rates when exchanging, because, usually, they are not as profitable as floating ones. Are fixes, in your opinion, a necessary measure or should you not be afraid of market volatility and exchange coins at a floating rate?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / How many coins do you mine? Why? on: February 18, 2020, 06:26:21 PM
I have a question for miners. How many different coins do you mine? More than three, more than five? How do you choose them?
According to changelly's list and whattomine.com I can't quite figure the difference between profitable coins and shitcoins. How are you doing this?
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Are crypto advisers worth to be looking for? on: February 10, 2020, 04:56:59 PM
Hey. Can you tell the beginner if there are any professional advisers who can teach you how to trade in practice? Crypto courses and general informative articles are great, but I'm having in mind something with more practice included. Does it make sense to look for them and how much scam there might be?
7  Other / Beginners & Help / Is it possible to mine all BTC someday? on: February 07, 2020, 03:47:31 PM
Hello everyone. I started to mine BTC a couple of months ago, so I'm still a newbie in all the mining details, but I want to know more.
Recently I read an article about btc mining what will happen when the last bitcoin is obtained. Perhaps I donít understand something, but how can there be an accurate forecasts regarding the date? And is it possible that cryptocurrency will become unnecessary or forbidden even before the last BTC is obtained?

8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Fiat-to-crypto - what's with the fees? on: November 05, 2019, 02:12:57 PM
Trying to understand how the fee system works and why exchanging from fiat is much more expensive than exchanging crypto.

Ok, cryptocurrency exchange fees are usually very low because it costs little to nothing in fees to exchange them, unlike fiat itself. Banks charge a commission for everything, and there are many regulations and financial bodues to contend with who would ultimately want their own piece of the cake.

That might explain why there's a 0.25% fee when you exchange crypto on changelly, for example, and 7% fees when you want to exchange from fiat.
But at the same time, there are services with a much lower fee. BUT lower payment doesn't guarantee good quality service. And this is where I want to hear your opinion

Question #1 - how often do you buy crypto with fiat?
Question #2 - how do you choose the platform? Are there any other criterions than the amount of fee? Security, speed of transaction, simplicity, friendly service?
Aren't you afraid that your personal data may be stolen or sell somehow?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Too many exchange apps on: October 09, 2019, 01:33:18 PM
There are plenty of exchange apps, both for Android and iOS.
At the moment I've tested 3 most common apps:
- Binance - sometimes ok, but not for the first time I somehow can't go through KYC via this app. Notifications don't work correctly, etc.
- Coinbase - was ok even with slow support, but after they increased their fees to 0.5%... Well, sorry, not going to use it.
- Changelly - it's new, I don't know if it's stable and well-working, and there are not enough reviews, but I was satisfied with the web version though

My question is: does anyone use exchange apps? If so, which ones? If not - why not? Share your experience, please.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Did fixed rate system ever saved your money? on: October 02, 2019, 04:57:36 PM
Here's to discuss fixed-rate and its benefits. Besides the deterring speculation, preventing depreciation of the currency and so on - did fixed exchange rate ever help you to avoid losing coins? I mean I saw an announcement about 15 mins fixed rate on changellys app, but how useful this time is? Do you pay attention to such benefits?
Interested to hear your own stories.
11  Other / Off-topic / Pros and cons of KYC and the alternative logic on: September 25, 2019, 03:08:16 PM
I see a lot of negative posts about KYC procedure and how the exchanges are losing their reputation when requiring user to go through KYC (even if only suspicious transactions are obliged, like it works with coinbase, changelly or binance).
I think people are overreacting. Sorry for being Captain Obvious, but at least, you should know how the internet works before you might actually start to worry about your anonymity during the exchange procedure.
I may not understand something, but what's the difference between sending your passport photo and being registered on facebook or instagram? You'll be surprised to know how much info they have on you even if you didn't name it.
In a world of big data people are afraid of KYC, but at the same time they aren't afraid to be registered in social media or using google. I mean... Could you explain, how this logic works?
12  Other / Beginners & Help / Where were you learned about crypto? on: September 19, 2019, 11:58:14 AM
When I started my way to crypto I looked up for info by myself. It took like months, before I began to understand something more than basics. Now I'm a bit jealous for the beginners who doesn't have to look up for information in different sources - there are like dozens of blogs, videos and courses. And most of them are free.
Though, the number of them made the quality of information lower (in my opinion), and you have to filter the info you get.

Can you recommend something like coursera's or changelly's courses?
Lots of newbies will be grateful, I think.
