2  Economy / Goods / SOLD OUT [Selling] Organic garlic scapes from my farm - SOLD OUT on: July 01, 2011, 12:17:25 AM
I work on a small organic farm. We grow garlic along with other veggies. Harvested the garlic scapes today. Thought I'd try selling them for bitcoin. We sell these locally at farmers markets and our farm stand.

They're fresh-picked from the plant today, so shipping them in the US shouldn't be much of an issue. They should arrive within a few days and still be fresh. Buy a few bunches and I can give a break for combined shipping. (Price breakdown below)

Price break down

1 bunch - 0.3 BTC
2 bunches - 0.5 BTC
3 bunches - 0.7 BTC
4 bunches - 1 BTC

I'm curious if anyone will be interested... I've been thinking about bitcoins and it seems like if it's going to be a viable currency someone needs to start accepting bit coins for basic necessities like food and rent.

Anyway, PM me if you interested

What are garlic scapes? They're good for pesto: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/mighty-appetite/2006/06/my_friend_the_garlic_scape_1.html

Hey newbs!

If you're looking for a way to convert USDs to BTCs you probably want to use either MtGox or Trade Hill. Each has it's pros and cons.

I just posted a thread in another sub-forum offering to buy people 0.1 BTC for signing up to TradeHill under me: http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=23716.0

I know many of you can't post in the other sections, so I figured I'd put this here so you can participate too. Smiley

There was another thread offering this, but it's dead and the guy isn't paying people anymore. So I wanted to make one that actually pays out.

I will give 0.1 BTC to anyone who:

1) creates a Trade Hill account using my referral code.
2) successfully makes 1 trade.
3) post in this thread your address and the time the detail of the transaction.

you get 10% discount on all your trades at TradeHill and 0.1BTC to start you off.
I get some referral money on your trades.

Win. win. win.

my code:  TH-R16313

I signed up under the other dude who did this and never got my payout. So I'm going to be consistent about this. Guaranteed for at least the first 40 people.

Edit: just upped my mining rig, hopefully I'll be mining at 0.3/day soon.

14  Other / Beginners & Help / Double GPU mining? on: June 22, 2011, 03:27:25 PM
hay d00ds,

I have two pci-e slots and an older GPU that I could put in. Right now I'm running a HD Radeon 6770 for mining at roughly 100Mhash/s but I have another PCI-E slot on my motherboard and an older NVidia card that can mine at around 6Mash/s. Anyone know if its possible to mine on two GPUs at once?
