does the phrase "for the time beeing" imply any duration or likehood for a change?
2  Economy / Service Discussion / since a few days i can't login to MtGox anymore on: February 20, 2014, 11:55:56 AM
my account was not verified, and even before this hole desaster i was not able to withdraw anything (for whatever reason they blocked me and required verification).

as i only had around 50$ there (which i already have written off: not worth the verifiying) it does not really bugs me.

yesterday i tried to login and nothing happens (the login button switches to "Loading..." and then back to "Login"). today i tried with ff and chrome: same effect.

am i the only one?
3  Local / Suche / Wer kauft mir SimCity (und verdient 20%)? on: November 20, 2013, 12:07:47 AM

5  Local / Off-Topic (Deutsch) / Plus500 on: March 28, 2013, 12:44:52 PM
Hallo,

Bitte tut dies ebenfalls.

6  Economy / Service Discussion / MtGox: Please fix classic.mtgox.com on: March 22, 2013, 10:12:32 AM
i guess you missed that you have changed the price api to data.mtgox.com
the login and trading page do not show the current price anymore.

as i really hate your new design, please let me use your old one...

thanks

8  Bitcoin / Hardware / BFL refunds works flawlessly and fast on: October 30, 2012, 10:17:08 AM
hi,

i just want to share my bfl refund experience.

i have send them an email and after three days i've got all my bitcoins back.
obviously they gave me a few less coins because of the changed usd/btc price.

i wanted a refund because i am afraid that bfl is not the first on the market and i think that i wont be able to mine back my price of the gear.
i do still think bfl is the best asic vendor - at least for now Wink

edit: bitpay has a perfect service. they even came back to me because they didn't find my refund transaction in the blockchain as we both used a mtgox address. +1 for doublechecking Wink
9  Economy / Lending / [REPAID] i want to short 20btc until january on: September 24, 2012, 02:09:32 PM
hello,

through all the thefts my bitcoin balance is zero.
as i believe bitcoins will go down directly after the blockreward change i want to short them.

following offer:
  • you lend me 20btc
  • i'll give you 0.1btc/week
  • i can send back your 20btc principal at any time (which means i dont have to send you the 0.1btc/week any more). if i send back the btc early (means: BEFORE jan) you'll get a 0.5btc bonus from me
  • otherwise you get your bitcoins back in january (06.01.2013 (DD.MM.YYYY) which means you get 1.7btc+20btc principal back.

any interest?

if you pm me i can provide you me id. my german homepage is www.k1024.de: so i am easy to verify.

if my offer is too low for you feel free to pm me your conditions

regards

10  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / confirmations on change address on: September 11, 2012, 07:57:25 AM
hi,

just a small question:

if i send a transaction the change goes to another address (i am speaking about reference implementation).
why aren't there any confirmations needed? it seems to be a normal transaction.

what would happen if i use a wallet (e.g. blockchain.info) and use another partys address as a change address. would he need to wait for confirmations (i guess yes, because i dont see a way to distinguish between change and "real" transaction?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / theft/scamming way more profitable (and riskless) than legal businness on: September 10, 2012, 07:03:16 AM
what a shame...

as a friend and me decided to offer a new bitcoin service: should we steal the coins?

seems to be more profitable: and i am not able to see any risks.

(btw: no we won't do that. we'll just make sure its impossible to steal us a huge amount. but damn morality... if you would shut up i'll be rich!)
12  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / best way to "instant send back" on: September 06, 2012, 10:41:29 AM
hi,

i am developing a service where - at some times - i need to send back btc to its origin immediatly (because they are not inside min or max)

atm i want to do this: construct a tx which uses the wrong input as an output, sign and publish it.
there is no need for a change address as i need to send back ALL of the input.

^^ this should also solve the confirmation problem (because if his transactions gets invalidated my "sendback" transaction will also - so we are fine)

but what about transactions fees and what happens if my sendback transaction (which is lowprio - even if its guaranteed to be small) does not get into a block?

is it possible to do this which bitcoind-0.7?

thanks
13  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / list of addresses of services where you can't send back on: September 06, 2012, 10:36:43 AM
hi,

imagine a service like satoshidice where btc get sends back to the first address they where send from.

is there any way for an service provider to detect if the btc came from a wallet like mtgox where you can't send it back?
i dont want my customers to loose money...

16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / track blocks on: August 06, 2012, 02:31:34 PM
hello,

i want to write a small program which track bitcoin blocks and looks for certain addresses.
what is the easiest way to get notified when a new block arrives?

i'd prefer to run a stock bitcoind.

with "getinfo" i get the current block count.
is there any way to get a json representation of a specific block which includes all transaction in it?

(notification or polling does not really matter. its not that time sensitive)
17  Other / Meta / this forum has become a mess - or STOP the hate on: August 01, 2012, 07:46:02 AM
where is all the spirit gone?
i loved this forum, because of new project developments, new ideas and nice people.

but now it seems only scams do matter. everybody tries to hide his ass or try to be a detective.

eg pirate:
i dont know what he does. and i am sure nobody who makes "pirate is a scam"-post does. but why so much hate?
just keep your opinion to yourself or HELP people by teaching them to do diligince and risk management.

eg bitcoinica:
ok i am really angry about that (as i lost money): but why are there so many people (who dont lost money at all) who think its their job to insult people or people who tries to be a detective again? do we really need more than 6 posts with the same content?

please: focus on bitcoin again!
i guess most of us want bitcoins to succeed. a key to success is to focus on your strongs - and not whining about bad things.

^^ please do so!

19  Economy / Trading Discussion / OKPAY is scam (probably not) on: April 11, 2012, 01:41:53 PM

Hello,

I want to warn you that OKPay is scam payment processor.

They were fine while I was making small transfers, but as soon as my
balance reached 11000 USD, they blocked it.

And it's blocked since August last year.

Stay away from OKPAY!

20  Bitcoin / Pools / Thoughts and questions on BTC Pools and merged mining on: September 18, 2011, 07:23:27 AM
Hi @all,

atm there are only 197 more blocks needed to start merged mining.

are there any pools (except masterpool) which will take the challange?
did you (as a pool op) at least run a test? how is it working for you?

please tell us your thoughts!

btw. i am looking for a nice *PPS pool which offers Merged Minging (if you know one just tell)

i do have the strong impression that every btc pool which do not support merged mining will:
 - loose miners as they can get more anywhere else
 - would be (verbal) attacked by people that thinks the pool is stealing the nmc's

brw masterpool and cgminer gave me < 0.02% stales (after 10k shares). but i dont want to use a proportional pool.
