1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sybil and how it affects your Retroactive airdrop chances on: August 21, 2023, 05:33:56 PM
Quote
What is sybil?

  • When you use a platform with more than 1 crypto wallet
  • When you interchange transactions between multiple wallets and use such wallets simultaneously on a platform
  • When you send tokens from different wallet address to a particular address (probably exchange address or main address).
  • When you operate multiple addresses under a single IP Address

Quote
What is retroactive airdrop?
These is when a platform reward addresses that has interacted with their platform. It started from Uniswap; and then more and more and more platforms implement the same strategy.

Quote
How does Sybil affect your retroactive airdrop chances?
If your wallet is caught in sybil web then;

  • Your wallet address is blacklisted alongside the other wallets as sybil; therefore your wallet address will not receive reward in the present or in the future.
  • You have wasted efforts, time, and funds in that multiple attempt quest for retroactive funds.

Quote
Whats the way forward?
If you are unsure whether you have gotten into sybil traps or not; the following helps you;

  • Get a new wallet address
  • Fund it from an exchange platform
  • Dyor, and select platforms you want to choose (there are many of them).
  • Then repeat transactions on the said platform; could be daily, weekly or monthly (having in mind that high volume in $ is an added advantage).

So the bigger questions; whats your opinion about Sybil and Retroactive airdrop ??
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Airdrop Events, Testnet Events is not an investment! on: August 17, 2023, 05:01:53 PM
Good day Everyone; i am making this thread to share my opinion about a trending issue and to also learn differing opinions as well.
This is about the #SEISCAM trend that has dominated crypto-twitter for the past 24 hours.

Quote
What Happened?
Several enthusiast joined the sei wave and participated in different testnet tasks and some ambassadorial roles to support the sei network and also provide valuable feedbacks to the team in hope of being rewarded; but when sei launched and shared rewards; majority got as low as 1$ up to 100$ while so many others received 0 which has lead to an uproared between enthusiasts and sei team.

Quote
Below are statements that i think are true about Testnet events and Airdrops

  • Airdrop events are free gifts from different projects to perform simple tasks (it surely varies
  • The rewards from an airdrop event in most cases are speculative (there's no guarantee if it will be worth 1$ or 1000$ or worth 0)
  • Test-net events does not PAY; either it is an incentivized participation or promised rewards; payment is not guaranteed.
  • Test-net reward is not promised either.
  • Influence-rs make promising test-net threads for engagement.
  • It is good to follow influence-rs who make promising threads about airdrop events; but be mindful that nothing is promised.
  • Nobody forces you to do an airdrop; Nobody forces you to perform testnet tasks; they are not an INVESTMENT; and you are not owned any explanations

My conclusion; i think it is fine to be disappointed if your efforts is not recognized or rewarded; but i also believe that it is not enough to push slur narratives on social media (it has no effects anyways.)

Also stop blaming influence-rs; if they make researches before making threads for readers; then as individuals, you should also make researches before joining any event (test-net or airdrop); while Remembering that nobody promised you millions for participating in their events.

I am open to differing opinions on this issue; what do you think ?
3  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / My Simple Solution For Speedy P2P Trading on: July 05, 2023, 11:03:55 PM
Every day, there are new reports about bad traders in the p2p system that exists for p2p people. To solve this problem, i devised one solution which i believe should work for others too, especially newbies. For Binance, there are too so factors and filter to use, different approaches to get the desired results.

Quote
But With Kucoin, p2p trades are less complicated. With Kucoin p2p; you can have the best p2p experience; how?

  • Create an Opay, Palmpay, or a kuda account and Push your accounts to level 3
  • Add your preferred accounts to kucoin p2p details.

For every p2p trades you have on kucoin, you can freely choose to sell to a vendor that uses Opay, or Palmpay Bank account. You don't need to check your bank apps multiple times before verifying p2p transactions because bank to bank transfer for Opay and Palmpay are instant 0.01 seconds  Wink Wink Wink

NB: This is not a promotional post.
You can share your experiences too and other p2p platform that you know works faster.
Thanks
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / You need a BANK WALLET on: October 06, 2022, 10:48:23 PM
If you are a crypto currency trader, or investor, you need a bank wallet to secure your profits or investments long term.  What is a bank wallet ?

A bank wallet is a wallet that you will never connect to meta-mask or dapp browsers, or any site at all......
A bank wallet is where you keep your long term holdings, profits or gains across blockchain networks ranging from Ethereum network, Fantom, Solana, MATIC, BSC and the rest.

As the crypto currency market gets dipper, there would be lots of wallet hackings in the nearest Future, your BANK wallet is your guarantee not to be a Victim, start moving your valuable tokens to your bank wallet now please.

If you don't have a bank wallet yet, hurry up and create one as soon as possible.
And also remember to keep your private keys safe
God bless you 🙏🏽🤝👍🏽

----------------------------------------------------------------

A bank wallet is still your crypto currency wallet, like wallets from trust, metamask, trezor or ledger etc. I call it a BANK WALLET to illustrate its importance. The bank wallet will be a special wallet you will never use to connect dapp browsers. All you have to do is just send your funds there and keep.

5  Other / Off-topic / Its good to be back on: June 18, 2022, 09:10:22 PM

Well glad to be here with you guys again. Anyone can point me to gists that i have missed ?
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Don't be over ambitious on: April 19, 2021, 10:21:04 AM
The crypto currency space is a very volatile place where anything can happen in a short time frame. No one either experts or not can call the top and bottom in crypto currrency market; we should always remember that our business in crypto currency market, trading is to take profit.

More importantly; don't be over ambitious to help someone to buy tokens, never do it. Instead educate and teach them how to do it, and the risks involved.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Sell if you have needs for funds, but BUY BACK. on: April 18, 2021, 09:27:25 PM
Alot of traders who hold valuable tokens with good value are hesitant to sell when in need because of the longer term, but it is wrong. Sell a token if you are in need or have needs for funds and have it at the back of your mind that once you are back in shape, you are buying the tokens back to keep your long term vision alive.

What you should not do, is sell a coin because you are expecting a dump (unless you are quick enough to buy back before a bull rally). Always dyor. Have you been in such tight spots as this before ? Can you share how you escaped it ?
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Have you revoked your address that you authorized on dexes using trust wallet ?? on: April 18, 2021, 07:35:07 PM
There is a blog from Trust wallet that is advising every trader or hodler, to use beefy finance revoke function to revoke authorized assess from our wallets to mart contracts that spend our tokens. So if you have sent 0 to claim tokens on the bsc chain, if you use an AMM (Automated Market Maker) function, if you have used a stake or yield farming dapp site, or provided liquidity.

To summarize the situation, all you have to do is visit beefy BSC Allowance Checker webpage, and revoke authorized addresses one after the other. I am not sure if it is right to post links here or if this is the best section to do that, but i hope to get advised.

Lets all continue to keep our hard earned assets safe. If there is a similar post to this, please guide me to it, so i can perhaps lock this (Mind you i did a search and did not find one).

For more information about why you must revoke authorized access on your address in bsc chain:
please visit my source here: https://community.trustwallet.com/t/how-to-quickly-see-revoke-the-bsc-addresses-authorised-to-spend-your-tokens-with-trust-wallet/82564

EDIT: After reading a little more and trying it out, you will see unlimited authorized, and limited too; i think the unlimited is for platforms that are not so safe, while the limited access are reputable dexes we have staked or provided liquidity, what do you think ?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Learn to appreciate the DIP. on: April 18, 2021, 06:58:58 PM
Several people especially newbies are often displeased whenever there is a dip in price of crypto currency assets. But the truth is that it is only during the dip market that you can go round exchanges and confirm that you buy orders (orders placed at low price) has been filled. If you love the pump, please learn how to appreciate the dip too; as a matter of fact, train your mind to use every dip to your advantages.

Remember that any coin can and will dump; but it may not be down for too long. Always do your research too.
What does everyone thing about the dip? Kindly share and lets learn together.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Do not panic sell when there is dump on: April 17, 2021, 06:08:18 PM
Sometimes when a coin pumps hard and starts to dump, novice will panic sell due to fear or other reasons, while the whales will buy up the dump and mop it all and then pump it even harder.... So don't always panic sell, be in control of your emotions, although it isn't easy, but with practice you will perfect and master it.......Every new trade is a journey and a new destination...... Always dyor

What do you think about this circumstance ? am i overthinking this ? share your views.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Don't be carried away, even a scam project can pump on: April 10, 2021, 01:58:44 PM
One thing we need to understand and admit in the crypto currency space is that a scam project can pump (it could be a flash pump). Knowing what to do with such token is the only way to guarantee that you make your money no matter what transpires; As always reiterated, taking profit is mandatory and again, it is not your 100% bag that you sell at once. In crypto currency, wisdom is direct to more profit, so make sure to learn something new each time you trade, and don't repeat past mistakes.

I hope we can share our opinion about this so everyone learns.
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / There is no certainty in trading on: December 12, 2020, 01:35:16 PM
I want us to understand that no mind can control or know a token direction with total certainty; which is why there are always dump (or price corrections as you may call it). The only certainty while trading crypto currency is PROBABILITIES; because in trading, at every moment there are so many different possibilities, entries and even exits; your level of interpretation will determine the one you go for and also prepare for when the market does not obey your predictions

This is why you have to be consistent in your 'right' process.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Blockchain is very faithful on: July 03, 2020, 04:26:21 PM
Well, i don't know what we would feel but i think the blockchain space is a faithful one, especially when it comes to bounty hunting. There are jubilant scenes in mtcn group regarding the recent upturn in price of token; with hunters getting reward for a work done since 2018. For some who believed in the project, it was a huge cashout.

It seems despite the gloom and appearance of scam projects, Bounty can be worth it if we join the right project
14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trade by yourself on: June 22, 2020, 09:00:48 AM
There are several traces of newbies finding signals here and there to trade, but it is wrong. Believe me If you want to trade consistently and profitably just learn how to do it yourself no matter how difficult or how long it takes.

You can subscribe to signals if you're the type who wants to earn while you learn but long term.... Learn trading by yourself
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / A trading chart does not play out to 100% on: June 12, 2020, 08:16:34 AM
While trading, I have come to notice that most of the chart  only play out about 70% of the time at most, so no matter how good you are you still can't know everything.

So literally, I want to know your takes on this, does it apply to both FA/TA chart analyst or just general views?

Do guide me with comments
16  Economy / Trading Discussion / Humility helps your trading capabilities on: June 04, 2020, 10:20:29 AM
A component of trading that cannot be neglected is humility towards the market; as a trader you need to present yourself to be teachable with humility so that the market will also steer its humility to you.

I say this because a proud and arrogant trader to the market, will have a trouble looming ahead trading because over confidence in trading leads to losses.

Also, arrogance and pride while trading is the beginning of endless losses.
17  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading is based on probability. on: June 02, 2020, 09:07:38 PM
A lot of people do not want agree that surviving in the market today requires every trader to come to terms that they are trading on probability and at every moment of the trade there are series of different possible outcomes.

As a trader, the best you can do is find the most likely scenario based on the data you have and understanding the risk involved too.
Choose the best probable outcomes that favors you to avoid stories as rekt.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Timing to Hodl tokens is very important. on: May 27, 2020, 04:04:53 PM
A lot people argue about if it is better to hodl on the long term or the short term neglecting the most important thing.
The timing with which you have to hodl your tokens or investment is very important, to ensure you do not rekt.

For every token, there is a time to hodl, and time not too, figure out the timing before investment.
19  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin is bullish longterm on: May 06, 2020, 02:15:04 PM
I have a feeling that people buying bitcoin just because of the halving are going to be a little disappointed.

The market has a way of doing the entire opposite of what majority expects and this is because we refuse to answer of what happens when everyone buys the bottom.

I don't know why alot of people seem to worry so much about bitcoin investment, either the halving happens today or tomorrow, bitcoin is bullish on the longterm.

Do your own research and expect tge market to change its game.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Trade people (people's reaction), not prices as a trader. on: April 26, 2020, 07:15:30 PM
The sweetest time to enter the market is during a crisis (a price downward spike) because crisis creates chaos which spikes emotions.

When emotions are high… intelligence is low

But… if you know what u are doing as a tradee during crisis, your intelligence will be high

By trading people, you research into the head of sellers and figure what they are thinking and you can focus on people's reaction in the market that way easily.
