3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / ERGO Miners Comparative on: July 12, 2021, 07:50:24 AM
This is an ERGO Miners Comparative with 4 x 3080, with Fixed Core Clock to avoid any Silicion Lottery.

All 3080 are at:

Core 1500
Memory 900

Miners used all to same pool:
Nbminer : Fee 2%
Nanominer : Fee 2.5%
T-Rex : Fee 2%
lolMiner : Fee 1.5%

There is a lot of interesting information

With HiveOS results: we have all of them around 205-206Mhs. Only we found that lolMiner goes down Mhs in ERGO Data Set all other miners doesn't do it. We will show it later.

4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Nvidia 3060 "Unlocker" for Linux on: May 15, 2021, 01:00:05 PM
It seems some nice movements are comming:

Nvidia 3060 "Unlocker" for Linux only with lolMiner 1.29 . This new mode mode allows to mine at a speed about 3/4 of the maximum speed of this cards.

Differences to popular Windows solution:

- Works with Linux
- Does not fully unlock card, but partially (~3/4 of max performance, +40-45% over locked card)
- Allows using risers
- Allows multiple GPUs in one system
- Not HDMI Dummy or monitor need it
- Needs Nvidia Linux driver between 455.45.01 and 460.39. Other driver versions will run at locked speed.

I have tested in one rig... without not great OC getting +36Mhs at nice low Watts

Great JOB!!
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 400Mhs at 885W at the wall on: January 18, 2021, 12:06:58 PM
Hi

Nowadays that ASIC are getting more interesting for ETH ... I have been playing these days with one rig to try to get a good perfomance Watts/Mhs. I was finally able to go down 2,25W/Mhs with on rig of 6 x 5700 and 1 x 3080.

I have try different combinations PhoenixMiner, TeamReadMiner+TRex and lolMiner... With TeamRedMiner I wasn't able to complete run 1 of the 5700, it was getting down, after some minutes, I think for the low undervolt...

The results with Phoenixminer, was 930W and with lolMiner 885W.

885/400 = 2.21W x Mhs...

With that combination I was able to get my target of the 400Mhs under 900W...  I later made another try and 421Mhs with 980W...

980/421=2.33W x Mhs.

GPU can get more hash but my idea was to improve the max performance of Watts/Mhs, to less heat, less degradation...

I will like to prove the test with instead 5 - 5700 Micron Memory with all 6 Samsung Memory to try to see if is possible to have the 850W...

6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Analysis Claymore Alternatives after EPOCH 384 (25th December) on: December 23, 2020, 09:29:28 AM
We will see very soon the end of Claymore for ETH, we saw it for ETC some weeks ago, and now is the moment for ETH. That will start in EPOCH 384, that will happen in Xmas. It could be probably able to continue mining, but there will be high level of reject. The only reason that happens is because Claymore is not more developed. Why? There are lot of speculations that I do not want to enter in them, but what is true, Claymore is not adapted to the next future mining
I want to post some alternatives of mining in this post, I will focus on miners that have proved them self’s to match the long term poolside hash rate with the claimed hash rate, so we can considered that they report honest performance.

The idea is to talk about these 5 Ethash Miners:
For AMD or Nvidia or Mixed Rigs :
-   Etherminer https://github.com/ethereum-mining/ethminer/releases
-   lolMiner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4724735.0

For AMD:
-   TRM https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5059817.1320

For Nvidia:
-   T-Rex https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4432704.1040
-   TT-Miner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5025783.0

Etherminer:
- Opensource, you can compiled and you will need if you want to have new Nvidia with CUDA 11, or that you Mining OS hat to do it by you.
- Fee 0%
- Working really well with Nvidia CUDA and old AMD Cards with RX 470-580, because they have a kernel for it. With new Navi and new drivers the hashrate is quite lower and you can have some DAG Generation problems in Navi 5700.
- No other Algo available to mine with it.
- Support available by the community in github

lolMiner:
-   No opensource
-   Fee in Ethash is 0.7%
-   Working very well. It doesn’t have problem with Nvidia CUDA driver. It has the best software optimization to reduce Watts with AMD, the more improve is with Navi, where it could be a save of nearly 4W by card.
-   It can mine different algo ETC, Beam, Equihash, …
-   Support available in the forum and also in Telegram, is easy to find the developer to help us.

TRM:
-   No opensource
-   Fee 1% Fee except for Polaris 0.75%
-   Working great.  The best miner for Vega architecture, it also had for smaller DAG great optimisation for Polaris Cards.  It is focus on AMD GPUs
-   It can mine also ETC, Nimiq, Cryptonight, …
-   Support available in the forum and on his Discord.

T-Rex:
-   No opensource
-   Fee 1% Fee except for Polaris 0.75%
-   Working perfectly with Nvidia.  Very focus to improve Nvidia. It has different version depending on the CUDA Driver.
-   It can mine also ETC, Octopus, MTP, …
-   Support available in the forum and on his Discord.

TT-Miner:
-   No opensource
-   Fee 1%, from version 5.0.0 to 5.0.3 developer take out the Fee and it was 0%, but he did not receive support and he finally put again the fee in version 6.0.0
-   Working great with Nvidia.  It works in all CUDA Driver version, it has lot of options to play with optimisation.
-   It can mine also ETC, EPIC, Veil, …
-   Support available in the forum by the developer

In term of hash all are very equal except etherminer with Navi GPU, in term of consumption is different in each miner some have more improves than other.
Now pick and prove the miners. We do not want pools of more than 51% to avoid attacks like we have seen the last months.  It is interesting not to have also miners with more than 51% of all the hash.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [NVIDIA] Nvidia GTX 1660 Super on: May 18, 2020, 03:48:27 PM
I haven't found information about mining with the GTX 1660 Super.

I want to put some information about it, in some of the photos it is with 1070 and 1070ti.

I have make some test in different Algos:

- Kawpow (PowLimit 70% + Core 120Mhz + Mem 800Mhz) = 12.2Mhs - 12.9 with Gminer <90W -->
- Equihash 125 (PowLimit 70%+ Core 120Mhz + Mem 900Mhz) = 27-28 Sol/s with Miniz <90W
- Equihash 144 (PowLimit 70%+ Core 120Mhz + Mem 900Mhz) = 41-42 Sol/s with Miniz <90W
- Equihash 192 (PowLimit 70% + Core 120Mhz + Mem 800Mhz) = 20.5-21.5 Sol/s with Gminer and 21.5 -22.5 Sol/s with MiniZ <90W -->
 - Ethereum (PowLimit 56% + Core 120Mhz + Mem 1000Mhz) = 33Mhs <=70W -->

If someone can put more recommendations it will be interesting...
