All are 19cm long and working fine when pulled. I want to sell them as a bundle, no cherry picking please.
2  Economy / Computer hardware / Semi-Custom Open Rack, Mounts up to 6 Cards + PCIe Extenders on: May 26, 2012, 06:03:59 PM
I ordered a kit for $175 then modified it to suit my mining needs. It mounts the mainboard and up to 6 video cards and is quite compact. I used it with 5 cards (1 5970 and 4 5850s) and still had room for one more card. With my setup it gave ~1.5 - 2 inches clearance between cards for good cooling. I can add PCIe extenders, some powered, if you want those for a little extra bitcoin.

See pics down a few posts...
3  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD]ASRock 890FX Deluxe4 Mainboard + 1GB RAM + AMD Sempron 145 + 4GB USB Drive on: May 26, 2012, 05:46:14 PM
<Hype>What a mining Bundle! Supports 5 PCIe Cards!</Hype>  Wink

OK, really, this a fine mining platform and it includes everthing you need except for a PSU, the video cards, and a case or rack (I'm also selling the semi-custom rack this setup was in). All in excellent working condition when pulled. I ran this unit with an ANTEC 1200 HCP PSU, 1 5970, and 4 5850s and it churned out 2.5GH/s for 9 months with those 6 cores.

Included:
1. ASRock 890FX Deluxe4 Mainboard with 3 PCIe x16 and 2 PCIe x1 sockets
2. AMD Sempron 145 CPU w/stock fan
3. 1GB  RAM Module
4. 4GB Vebatim USB Drive
5. Original Box with all (unopened) accessories

Price: 25 Bitcoin shipped within US

PM me your email and I send some pics.

6  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / X79 Sandy Bridge E motherboards - PCIe Heaven? on: September 14, 2011, 02:09:58 PM
Take a look at what's coming in a few months. I know, they'll be massively expensive for mining, but if PCIe 3.0 is backward compatible to 2.0 it could be slot heaven, up to seven (yes, 7!) on a couple of these boards.

7  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Motherboards: What Works w/Four or More GPUs? List Them on: August 18, 2011, 12:23:08 PM
OK, catfish and I have had some bad experiences (read expensive) with motherboards that fail to support four or more GPUs even though they have five or even six PCIe slots. We want this to be a single thread info source on motherboards that have been proven to fully function with four or more cards (and those that don't).

PLEASE, use the following format:

8  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Source for reference 5850 GPU fan assembly? on: August 08, 2011, 10:20:31 PM
The fan on one of my Sapphire 5850s died with a screech. The card was immediately shut down and is apparently undamaged. I want to buy a NTK FD9238H12S fan assembly for a replacement (card is out of warranty/no receipt). Anyone know where to obtain this part in the US? Several 5xxx reference series GPUs use this fan, including the 5970 I believe.

9  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Household Voltage Sag -- A Problem? on: July 29, 2011, 02:26:37 AM
I bought this motherboard because it had 2 x16 and 4 x1 PCIe slots with visions of a 6 GPU rig. However, I'm having trouble maintaining stable hashrates with only four GPUs. Here's the setup:

New Antec HCP 1200W PSU
MSI 890FXA-G65 motherboard
AMD Sempron 140 CPU
Kingston 1GB DDR3 RAM
2 x 5830, 2 x 5850 GPUs with PCIe extender cables
LinuxCoin 0.2.1b persistent from a 4GB flash drive

I'll startup the GPUs one at a time (they are OC'd at 975,300 for the 5830s and 875,300 for the 5850s) and the first three hit expected hashrates of 308 MH/s for the 5830 and 355 MH/s for the 5850s. As soon as I fire up the 4th GPU hashrates fall off and range from 225 - 308 for all four cards and fluctuate dramatically.

While this seems like a voltage issue to me the rig draws only 620W max, but it does fluctuate over 100W. The GPUs are plugged into the 8 x 6pin PCIe PSU cables, the 8pin CPU power cabe is plugged into the M/B, and I'm using the MSI supplied 6pin-to-2xMolex adapter (plugged into 2 separate PSU molex lines) for the M/B PCIe power.

Any ideas?
10  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Lego Folding Build - Too Cool! on: July 19, 2011, 09:41:14 PM
I know, it's not a miner, but the build is really beautiful and may give someone here some interesting ideas.

12  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / HSPC Tech Station - This Could Work! on: July 12, 2011, 09:36:29 PM
http://www.highspeedpc.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=StdTechStation

I think this may be the answer I'm looking for. Mount the PCIe rail higher, add a rear GPU support rail, and that would pretty much be my ideal caseless setup for 4 GPUs. What do you think?

16  Bitcoin / Pools / Pool Reliability :-/ on: July 07, 2011, 04:56:59 PM
As a noob miner I'm disappointed in the reliability of pools. After a week of mining I'm now forced (due to DDoS attacks on BTCGuild and BeepBit) to start up a third pool account. Is this typical? What is being done by pool owners to increase reliability?
17  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Best 4xPCIe 2.0 Motherboard for Mining? on: July 07, 2011, 01:59:56 PM

"Temporarily disabled while being DDoS'd." What does this mean?
19  Other / Beginners & Help / Solo vs. Pooled Mining Network Traffic? on: June 25, 2011, 06:48:54 PM
I'm curious to know if there are bandwidth consumption differences between these two mining methods. I can only obtain wimpy DSL 1.3Mbs/0.75Mbs actual on my system, and nothing faster is available at a reasonable cost.
