Protect Yourself from Hyperinflation with DAI

In most Latin American countries the US dollar is taken as the currency of safe haven , in countries like Argentina and Venezuela where inflation (or hyperinflation in the case of Venezuela) is a factor that is present in the day to day, buying dollars is a routine part of life for all its inhabitants. But buying dollars is not always easy, whether it is because of various laws imposed by the countries or the simple fact of being able to be swindled with counterfeit bills, buying physical dollars can sometimes be more of a problem than a solution.

For this reason, several companies have emerged offering more efficient methods for buying and selling dollars, although they are not exempt from other inconveniences such as the need to disclose users' personal data or having to pay high fees of up to 5-10% of your transaction if you want to send dollars through their platforms. For this reason, the irruption in the world economy of crypto currencies has meant a turning point that offers a helping hand to all users globally.

Dai, your shelter against hyperinflation

Hyperinflation is a type of inflation that consists of a massive increase in prices, during a determined period of time. In Venezuela, hyperinflation started in November 2017, when the monthly inflation rate was 56.7% and the annual growth rate was 1370%, during which time the issue of 100,000 bolivar bills was announced, which is considered the most serious hyperinflation in the world.

Consequently, it is evident the need of the citizens to get rid of their strongly devaluated local currency to take refuge in a stable currency like the dollar and here Dai, the decentralized stablecoin of MakerDAO comes into play. Dai is a stable currency with a value that reflects the value of the U.S. dollar, in essence it is a cryptomoney that lives in the Ethereum blockchain, protected by a system of smart contracts and a diverse amount of collateral that supports its value in greater amounts than its issuance to make it a robust stable currency.

In inflationary situations such as those experienced by Venezuela, Argentina and other countries, DAI comes out being very beneficial for the population of these countries, since, it is easily interchangeable both in national exchanges and in person to person transactions for FIAT money (Bolivars, Argentinean Pesos, etc), without leaving behind its accessibility of emission by means of some collateral by any person thanks to the Maker protocol.

It is worth noting that unlike physical dollars, no one can censor or restrict what you can do with your IADs. For this reason, IAD is of great help in situations like the one that is happening in Venezuela, Argentina and other countries around the world.

How to buy and sell DAI safely

To start using DAI all you need is an internet connection and a device where you can download a wallet, which is a software (app), that allows you to store your crypts. You can see it as a bank account where you have an address or account number where you can send and receive money.

You must also keep in mind that you must save your seed phrase and/or private key of the wallet, which is a code that you must keep in case you lose or misplace your wallet, since this is the only way to recover access to it.

Through the digital platforms that we have available today, there are several ways to access Dai, from the purchase of DAI in an exchange or home exchange, among others. Thanks to LocalcoinSwap we have a platform where we can securely access a fairly large P2P (Person to Person) market with various payment methods to exchange our Fiat money for DAI or vice versa.

In the case of Localcoinswap we only need an email to register and then we can create our Buy or Sell orders in the platform without the need to compromise our DAIs just to create an offer. LocalCoinSwap is Non-Custodial which means that it allows you to make the transaction from wallet to wallet making your transaction more secure.

You don't have to deposit your IADs with LocalCoinSwap to buy and sell! If you do not have a wallet, you can create a Non-Custodial wallet on LocalCoinSwap, which only you will have access to. Remember to keep your private keys in different places.

Send money quickly and easily around the world, send DAI

As of November 2019, the Venezuelan economy has become dollarized, so much so that a report estimates that 54% of purchase and sale operations are carried out in dollars. According to Ecoanalítica, a national pollster, more than four million Venezuelans living in foreign countries send remittances to their relatives with which they support the family economy.

As we have already commented, having a crypto wallet or wallet we already have the possibility of sending and receiving DAIs anywhere in the world, no matter the time, no matter the limits and no matter our social status, sending IADs is as easy as having the public address of the person who is going to receive our IADs and simply sending them. All this makes IAD a perfect currency for remittances.

Remittances play a fundamental role for many Venezuelan families. When talking about remittances with DAI, it is to eliminate all intermediaries between the banking and the most known international transfer systems, to find a cheaper and safer alternative that works 24 hours a day, 7 days a week without restrictions or censorship. So, there is no point of comparison when we talk about the power of crypto currencies in the field of international transfers, it has never been so easy to send money from and to any part of the world.

With this Dai is gaining ground because of the real need of the population, since it is an easy and fast way to acquire digital dollars. And therefore, platforms such as LocalCoinSwap help this adoption to be much higher all over the world, including countries with economic difficulties and restrictions such as Venezuela.

Register today and start trading with DAI, so you can have the benefit of sending and receiving a stable currency that is totally decentralized and of which only you have control. By purchasing IAD at LocalCoinSwap, you will be able to protect yourself and your family from hyperinflation.

Chelsean P2P Trading

https://blog.localcoinswap.com/es/entrevista-rapida-n4-tips-de-comercio-p2p-de-chelsean/

As any experienced trader knows, one of the most important aspects of learning to trade is studying the style and understanding the strategies of other successful traders around you. In this series of interviews with P2P cryptostrip traders on our platform, we will provide you with tips, suggestions and recommendations from them on how to succeed in the world of P2P trading by providing a glimpse into the testimony of these individuals who have turned buying and selling cryptostrip into a successful business in their lives.

Today, we are going to hear from a bitcoin trader from Kenya who operates on our platform under the name of Chelsean, who shows us that this crypto currency can be a powerful tool when looking for new ways to explore its benefits. We at LocalCoinSwap are always excited to have great growing merchants like Chelsean join our community and are proud to showcase their stories and advice to everyone.

Hello, Chelsean! Thank you so much for taking the time to talk with us about your P2P experience. Let's go straight to the interview!

Q: Start by telling us a little bit about yourself and your background. How did you first become interested and involved in the world of cryptology?

A: I am from Kenya, I have a degree in Information Technology. Unemployment was the reason that made me look for new sources of income and cryptomonies intrigued me from the beginning. I have been involved with cryptology for a little over two years now. It was very difficult at first to find appropriate user names, and since the Chelsea soccer club is my favorite team, I took the name as a good fan. From there, it became consistent in all my other profiles on professional platforms.

Q: What precipitated your jump into P2P trading?

A: The P2P format, by offering a good market, made me want to take advantage of the opportunity as soon as I could. It is also easy to use.

Q: What countries do you mainly trade in?

A: Since most of my offers are global and there is anonymity on the part of the users, I don't have exact statistics, but most of my commercial offers are made in American dollars (USD).

Q: Do you have a preferred crypto currency to trade with and why?

A: Bitcoin (BTC), as it's easy to buy and also easy to sell due to its high demand. Sometimes we also trade ethereum, but the demand is not so high when it comes to P2P trading. I plan to learn more about other crypto currencies in the future to perhaps venture.

Q: What payment methods do you most accept when doing P2P trading and why?

A: Paypal, M-Pesa, Cash App, WorldRemit, among others. Depending on the geolocation of the buyer, some payment methods may be preferable. All these methods are easy to use and also allow for quick withdrawals.

Q: Do you have any management or accounting advice on how to keep track of your operations and profits?

A: I currently do not have an in-depth accounting system as such. I just calculate the current BTC price and the money I received for each transaction and then calculate the difference minus the costs.

Q: What about negative experiences, have you had any, and if so, what do you suggest traders avoid when doing P2P trading?

A: There are too many scammers who claim to have sent payments when they really only expect to receive some free crypto. However, LocalCoinSwap is very supportive in that regard to always help resolve those kinds of disputes. In addition, there are certain payment options such as PayPal that are affected by limitations, holds, and chargebacks that occur after funds are released to the buyer.

Q: Why do you care about buying and selling P2P crypto currencies?

A: I believe that cryptography and digital technologies are the future. As such, it is advisable to be at the forefront of technological advances as others adapt. Doing so creates a wide range of employment opportunities.

Q: Name one person you recommend to stay in the crypto industry

A: I mostly just follow social networking platforms for various P2P accounts. In general I always try to follow the current trends.

Q: What is the number one advice you would give to a person just starting out as a P2P trader?

A: You have to be patient as new profiles don't get much feedback. I had to wait almost a month to get my first successful trades, but I almost gave up. However, once I completed my first trade, the rest was history. You also have to always be careful of scammers. There is no reason to rush to release the escrow funds until you are sure you have been paid.
Clear and timely communication with customers helps to ensure a smooth trade. Remember to rate your customers and also ask them for feedback. Seek business support from the technical team when you are unsure of something.

Thank you, Chelsean, for taking the time to share your tips and experiences with our P2P community! We wish you all the best and look forward to talking to you again soon

3  Other / Meta / CPM right now, right here. on: September 15, 2020, 04:39:35 PM
Hey, we have a copy-paste-monkey among us who creates threads with the speed of printer. Without adding a single word of his own this CPM  combines contents from different sources and adds reference links at the end as camouflage. He’s either too lazy or a man with low IQ who is unable to add any useful info. But none of that is    a privilege to spam the forum.  Why he is doing that… wise LoyceV made the point

It's often used ….. just to increase post count.

And I would continue him  “and merit count” What do you think?

Oh, I'd forgotten to introduce him. Meet Ratimov, UID link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=2627711

His last "gems" that deserve shitposting/spam tag

Notice, in 1) he explicitly broke the plagiarism rule

After revealing his plagiarism https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.msg55189575#msg55189575 , he tagged me twice next days. LOL.  Maybe it will puzzle  him a bit more but I'm not a part of his imaginary farm.
