1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / [ANN] CoinonatX- Scam Alert - Unmoderated thread on: September 07, 2017, 08:51:31 AM
Since the developer closed the original thread and decided to move to a moderated thread, I would like to open this thread in order to bring awareness to the community for what happened and is still happening here.

Basically the developer run a double scam where he created a new coin, pretended to swap the old one for the new while giving people very short notice and doing it completely not transparent. They swapped a very small percentage of the coins while remaining in possession of the larger part of xcxt. Also they deliberately slowed down communication so most people miss the 7 days deadline.

The developer ended up with a lot of coins on both chains and the opportunity to dump them on unsuspecting traders.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / I am looking for a project to invest in on: September 05, 2017, 03:13:57 PM
Ok, so I've made quite a lot of money during the last year and am looking for good projects to put this money to good use. Basically what I am looking for is the following, please get back to me if you know any project that match this criteria:

1. Market cap below 200k USD.
2. Very small or no premine.
3. Active developer that is very committed to the project.
4. Any kind of innovation or feature that makes this project unique.

I will off course do my own research before deciding whether to invest or no but my involvement in the project will basically mean that the price will increase at least 2x from current levels.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Griff Green finding all this a lot of fun on: June 19, 2016, 10:17:19 AM
I did not loose any money on ETH/DAO but I am sure a lot of people and especially those who do not hang in front of the PC 24/7 lost substantial amounts.

Looking at the interview that Griff Green gave and hearing how he finds all this "a lot of fun", I am still truly disgusted and amazed how people like him were trusted with a project of this size.
4  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How long before the ICO/Token bubble bursts on: June 16, 2016, 07:29:57 PM
Obviously with the success of Ethereum, Dao, Lisk, Waves etc. we are now seeing a host of ICOs popping up. However there are just so few BTCs in circulation and with the recent BTC rise in price we will see more and more people abstain from investing in these projects, especially with most of the "devs" not even trying very hard.

Thoughts?
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Peercoin PPC sha256 minable? on: April 26, 2016, 06:54:16 PM
Is PPC sha256 minable? I thought it was POS only? Doe this make any sense? https://www.peercointalk.org/index.php?topic=4536.0

"Small miners losing profitability with Bitcoin mining will try to stay profitable by transitioning their hashing power over to Peercoin. As a result, Peercoin's inflation rate will continue to decrease, making Peercoin more and more scarce over time. So far 98.5% (22,740,325) of all Peercoins are distributed to miners and merely 1.5% (341,888) to minters. The number of mined Peercoins will start to drop further as hashing power crosses over from Bitcoin to Peercoin."
