1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Using Bitcoin Core wallet as "watch only" for BTC held by Trezor T on: December 26, 2020, 10:31:04 AM
Hi all,
I'm new to Bitcoin and over the past week started to run Bitcoin core on my laptop. I would like to make better use of it., and was wondering if there is a way to actually use Bitcoin core as a "watch only" wallet to keep tabs on the coins held by a Trezor Model T.
I'm not a programmer etc, just a simple guy, so would very much appreciate any simple step-by-step explanation that is easy to do. If this process is in fact complex then I don't think I want to try for fear of losing my sats or ruining my laptop etc.

400GB free.
my RAM is 8GB
Intel Core i5-4210U CPU @ 1.70GHz   2.40 GHz
Bitcoin Client Software and Version Number: V0.20.1
Operating System: Windows 10

Thank you.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Very slow bitcoin core download on: December 19, 2020, 11:26:07 AM
Can anyone please help me, I'm not technical, just a normal guy who wants to do his part in helping the bitcoin network.
I have been downloading from http://bitcoin.org for over 10 days now, unfortunately, it's extremely slow despite my broadband working normally. It's downloading at a rate of 0.08% per hour!
I'm NOT using Tor for download, just normal clear internet. I have stopped and restarted the download several times. I have restarted the laptop several times. the laptop is connected directly to the router via ethernet cable, but nothing seems to be improving this.
Do I need to change the settings?
Please advise me.
Thank you.
