We thought Bitcoin's value would continue to collapse, but so far that hasn't happened. Instead, after hitting a low of $2, it rose back above $3 in early December, and on Monday it rose above $4 for the first time in two months. It's impossible to predict where the currency will go next, but at a minimum it looks like the currency will still be around in 2012.

HpHosts is a site that tries to blacklist sites with issues (malware, trojans, spyware, etc) and it grabs a bunch of legitimate sites as well (anyone can submit and it lists them with no verification), a few AV programs do lookups on hphosts as part of their "safe web browsing" services.

Just a heads up if you have AVG on a machine that you need bitcoin to be running on, it might not be running right now.
