I'm curious about the effect of these malleable transaction rebroadcasts on the blockchain size. These rebroadcasts stay on the blockchain forever like any other transaction, right? If there were many folks who rebroadcast would the future blockchain grow exponentially with each actor or can a transaction only be rebroadcast once (effectively doubling the blockchain for future transactions)?

I was looking into getting a Nexus 4 to run Bitcoin Wallet. I found that there seems to be an issue with the phone where even new phones can simply die outright, which was disappointing as I was hoping to try a phone experience other than iPhone solely for bitcoin-related reasons.

It made me wonder about anyone who might have transferred some bitcoins to his phone only to have it die and need to be reformatted/returned, yadda. The point here isn't to slam Nexus -- there are other phones and any of them could die.

I suppose I'm wondering about other people's experiences with buying stuff offline with bitcoins face to face. I assume even on iPhone I could get to an online wallet via Safari but I'm wondering how cumbersome it'll be to have to deal with passwords in that scenario.

New iMac 10.6.8 with Radeon 6970 is freezing (and/or kernel panic) 5-10 minutes after mining begins. Running Diablo miner. Terminal begins giving repeated "possible driver or hardware issue" failures after a few minutes and then the freeze after 5-10 minutes. Could this possibly be generating enough heat in 5 minutes to cause a problem? It doesn't seem all that hot to me.

Is there a modifier when I launch that will keep the GPU at a certain percentage usage so I can see if there's an acceptable percentage that will allow sustained mining?
