Hello community, I have a question concerning helium miners, specifically the Panther x1.
Are they afraid of cold, It's hitting -5 celsius as of today, in the following weeks it will be atleast -20 celsius.
If i post my Panther x1 helium miner in the balcony or hang it on the building wall with that temperature, can it get damaged or can it drastically slow down or temperature doesn't effect it at all ?

Anyone have any experience with these ?

It's not the 2.0 version also.
Question is, does anyone know their compatibility with other brand PSU's or are they just generic extensions applicable to any and all ?

My vram on 3080's reach critical 110 then the speed drops down on all of them about 7-8mh/s, i keep my rig in a balcony with windows, its pretty warm in there, i open both windows and then it drops to 106-108 ish and the speed is back to normal, thing is outside its - 10 to - 18 during nights, can my gear get fucked up from that kind of cold? Cards indicate from 35 to 40 degrees at all times, fan speed is 100%, the balcony itself is pretty warm even with both windows open. Do i go with the balcony windows open or invest in another external fan directed straight at the backplate to cool down vram. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

So ive finally built my rig with those 3080 cards ive bought and noticed it generates plenty of noise and heat, is it possible to store it in an enclosed balcony, it has plastic windows on 2 sides, a concrete wall from one side and a plastic door for entrance, theres no way any rain can reach it, but what about condense and moisture? Is that a possibility.
With the heat it produces im pretty certain it would make the balcony dry and warm and since outside nowadays its either below 0 or just a bit above i think it would keep the rig pretty cool.

To summ things up, im asking if a rig could be stored in an enclosed balcony without exposing moisture to it.
Willing to provide photos of the balcony if needed.

Side question on a different topic, would a usb antenna work for mining if i wanted to switch from ethernet to wifi, need to use less cables if id put the rig in the balcony.

Getting 8x 3080, what PSU, CPU and software would you recommend ?
