1  Economy / Service Discussion / MT Gox AML No Response on: April 18, 2013, 10:56:55 PM
Okay, so I have a few questions. I am trying to become verified on MT Gox to withdraw some money. When I put the money in being verified was not a requirement. I have completed the questions on the AML Verification page, but it still says I have only partially completed it. It says I need to add address information. I have uploaded a utility bill with my address but there is no where to type in anything. Am I missing it somehow? I tried asking the AML team directly, but I have sent two emails, one on the 8th, and one again on the 12th, and have had no response. I am having no luck getting verified. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Also is there an alternative to MT Gox to safely sell bitcoins and get the cash into fiat?
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Vouch for BitcoinStore on: April 09, 2013, 06:47:49 PM
Okay so I placed an order on bitcoinstore.com April 4th. I payed my bitcoin. I was contacted April 5th saying an item I ordered had reached End Of Life, and they couldn't send it to me. They wanted to know how I wanted to proceed. I asked to cancel the entire order, but it had already shipped. I then asked for the bitcoin back that I had sent to them, and had it showing up in blockchain within 15 minutes! Amazing support, I'm stoked that I finally have somewhere to spend my bitcoins that I can trust to do the right thing.
3  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Bitcoin client wont sync on: April 07, 2013, 06:23:58 PM
I just reinstalled my PC. I have been using bitcoin since november 2010, and I can usually figure this stuff out for myself. I use armory, and I downloaded that first and imported my wallet. Then I downloaded the bitcoin client ver 0.8.1 64 bit, and it started up and said it was syncing. after an hour it hadn't downloaded a single block. I closed the client and reopened it, and even though I connect to the network with 8 active connections it won't start syncing again. doesn't even try. I uninstalled, deleted the bitcoin folder from %appdata%, rebooted, reinstalled... nothing. I'm at a loss as to what the problem is, It was working perfectly fine before I reinstalled, and Windows firewall is disabled, so I doubt it's a connection issue. Anyone have any ideas? Note: the client has been open for three hours as I write this and hasn't began the sync process.

edit: i have tried -addnode as well.

edit2: .05BTC reward to the person who helps me solve this. I know I should be patient. just thought I'd put it out ther.

Hi, I'm Halix. I have been mining bitcoins on and off for almost a year now. I haven't done much advanced, mainly just been reading and mining using slush's pool. I have just come into some money, and decided I am going to buy a Butterfly Labs Rig Box. It costs $29,890, and according to my calculations, (I pay no electricity) It will pay for itself in 2 and a half years, mining nothing but bitcoins. I want to be able to mine other cryptocurrencies as well, but just don't know where to begin. I have heard of p2pool, and might be interested in going that route, but I want to be able to add whatever cryptocurrencies I wish to as they are released. Is there a guide to do this somewhere? I am ordering the rig next week, as soon as my check clears. If I can get this figured out maybe I should spend some of the remainder of my money on creating a pool so people who want to be able to mine the newest released currencies could join me. What do you all think?
