1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Mining Pool question on: November 02, 2017, 11:41:09 AM
Ok, forgive me if this sound like a stupid question but could someone help me understand pools, in particularly hashrates and blocks.

So... examples

Pool A has a pool hashrate of 500mhz with approx 10 miners and is finding blocks.
Pool B has a pool hashrate of 1500mhz with 1 miner and is not finding any blocks.

Should pool B be finding blocks and should it also out perform Pool A in terms of finding blocks?

Next question.....

Pool A - 3000mhz pool hashrate with 12 miners and finding blocks
Pool B - 1500mhz pool hashrate with 1 miner and not finding blocks.

Should Pool B still be finding blocks even though Pool A has a more miners and higher hashrate?

Many thanks.
2  Bitcoin / Electrum / Blockchain - Transaction rejected Max number in single transaction on: April 15, 2016, 04:14:14 PM
Currently using Electrum 2.6.4 and tried to deposit some coins on an exchange to sell - 1st couple of test with small amounts worked ok but when I tried to transfer a larger amount Blockchain.info shows the block as being rejected with the following reason.

Transaction rejected by our node. Reason: The Maximum number of inputs in a single transaction is 250

https://blockchain.info/tx/c97465132872b3acf3b57ff8e6fa26a795ead75fd8ac840789d056edcdcd8d75

My wallet is showing as pending with the transaction with no confirmations so I can't try again as it says I have insufficient funds.

Will my wallet claim the coins back or will they sit in limbo and I've lost them?

Any help and advise welcomed :-)
